Incredibly effective when used after rinsing with a neti pot.
I don't usually write reviews, but had to for this product because I think it significantly cut down the amount of time I spent sick. It's best utilized in conjunction with a neti pot; first I rinse my sinuses using the pot (rinse twice, one rinse through the right nostril and then one through the left nostril), then go into child's pose and blow gently to drain the rest of mucus and water. Then, I take the spray and spray it once in the left nostril, once in the right, once in the left again, then one final time in the right, gently taking my time on each side and sniffing/inhaling for a good minute or two between each spray. Be warned, this spray is NOT for the faint of heart and it WILL sting the first few times you use it. It feels somewhat like sticking some wasabi up your nose. But my god is that sting rewarding. I actually tear up after each spray, but power through until I've made it through all 4 sprays. After spraying, I go back into child's pose and gently blow again to drain the excess snot that results from spraying. When I'm all done, I can breathe perfectly clearly and feel like a new man for a good hour or so before my sinuses clog up again. This spray is tremendously healing and will drastically speed up your recovery time from cold and flu if you can use it after doing a neti pot rinse every few hours throughout the day. I really believe in the healing power of cayenne pepper and I think that's why this spray is so effective; the neti rinse clears out the sinuses so that the cayenne pepper can then come in and coat the walls of the sinus cavities, at which point the cayenne pepper's antibacterial properties will take effect and help the body to fight off the infection.

Works!!
This was recommended to me when I was sick from a NP at the doctor. It does WORK, it will clear you out but yes it will burn like nobodies business. Luckily that burn doesn't last but a few seconds but it will clear your sinuses!

Pain highly exaggerated, but the product is quite effective
Many reviews say Sinus Plumber is effective but painful, so I was expecting it would feel like a punch in the nose. Right after it arrived, I put the tip into a nostril, closed my eyes, fired, and said to my wife, "That's it?" Sure, it stings a little, but just a little. The experience is hardly as painful as eating wasabi paste. If you're buying this for masochistic purposes, you will be profoundly disappointed. I have a lot of sinus problems, and I use fluticasone (a.k.a. "Flonase") daily, so I'm I'm going to use that as a basis of comparison for those who use a prescription production. Sinus Plumber is definitely more effective in the short run. It's a highly effective mucolytic, meaning that it will break up mucus. It also seems to shrink swollen sinuses, at least in my case. Fluticasone is a corticosteroid and has a long duration, up to 24 hours, and is an anti-inflammatory that shrinks sinuses. Fluticasone takes several minutes to begin working, and it gently opens sinuses. Sinus Plumber is faster, more effective in the short run, but won't continue working for hours. Some have given the product one star and said it was junk. Not all sinus problems are the same, even though the symptoms may present similarly. For example, if someone had sinus polyps, I suspect fluticasone would work better. I don't recommend you use Sinus Plumber immediately before going to bed as it will run down the back of the throat. This isn't painful, but unpleasant. Ten minutes before would be fine.

As a vocalist and narrator, I need to have a clear head. Literally.
Bought these after I bought a different brand. They both contain capsicum. These also state that they are 4x strength and I believe it!🔥😎 Add wintergreen and horseradish and this is MUCH stronger than the others that have xylitol. I do notice the ones with xylitol last longer so I use Sinus Plumber first for congestion and allergies. 30 seconds is all it takes! A little later, maybe an hour or two I'll use the xylitol max congestion relief. Something in it keeps the sinus cavity moisturized (IMO). Sinus Plumber is practically a miracle in a bottle and it has a real kick that will open your sinuses. The other brand is useful but doesn't have the immediate effect as Plumber. To be honest, Sinus Plumber is better than expected and well worth the money. One last thing. Plumber has a locking clip that is very useful. (See pictures) No accidental partial sprays. I suppose it is also a minimal safeguard to keep kids away?. I love what this product does and am grateful to G.C., an extraordinary a capella bassist who recommended it.

I thought it worked until I actually had congestion
I was so happy with this product, I felt it was stronger and better than the Xlear Max Nasal Spray with Capsicum as it also had horseradish and wintergreen in it, but for the same-ish price, you get 1/3 the contents. It worked great for some mild congestion, where you can still breath through it, although the results didn't last as long as I had hoped. Either way, I was thrilled to have a nose spray that did not have oxymetazoline as the main ingredient which only helps until it starts making things worse. Well a few days ago, I had some pretty thick congestion or swelling in my nose, and this stuff did nothing to clear through it other than sit on top of the blockage and just burn the surrounding area of my nasal and sinus passages. It literally would not go through. I even took a q-tip through my sinus to push the spray in and kinda clear the way a little in case it needed help. It really did nothing for the blockage. Then I ended up having to take an oxymetazoline based spray for immediate relief. So, while it may work for weaker congestion where it's not really needed, it does not work for serious congestion. It might help for headaches, but only because the slight burn could distract you or your pain signals temporarily, but I don't have experience with that now. The burn is tolerable, even with like 15 sprays sitting in a backed up nostril, think of maybe eating a spicy hot wing, having it go down your windpipe, then coughing to get it out, and it goes into your nose kind of burn. It goes away typically in 30-60 seconds and the bulk of the sting is really only there for an initial few seconds. I had high hopes for this, indirectly convinced my friends I was a masochist because of this, stating it worked, only to find it let me down when I really needed it. Overall, where I once would recommend, I now would not. It let me down.

The champion of nasal sprays!
For those not used to a nasal spray with capsaicin (the active component of chili peppers), eucalyptus, wintergreen and a hint of horseradish; it can be a shock at first, so take a single spray while inhaling through your nose, one nostril at a time. What's it feel like? Imagine the thick mucous in your nose is a bad guy. You don't want him around, so you take this pepper spray you happen to have...and get that bad stuff... in a very, very localized place. Stay with me. After inhaling, let it stay there for thirty seconds, allowing the full effect of your own body cleansing the walls of your nasal cavity Imagine your own tears and nasal liquid washing away the pre-infection of mucous that stays in your nasal cavities. This is a unique remedy that hurts at first. When you get used to it, it HURTS GOOD. Trust me. Soon you'll get used to the ingredient and realize the potential of having a very quick fix to a clogged nose or nasal mucous with NO drug interaction and NO need to wait 24 hours to get the usefulness. Since it's only using things to stimulate your own system, you can use this stuff again without delay. If I had too much sugar or sweet drink, or if I hang out with my smoking friends at the bar, I'll cleanse out my sinuses with this stuff at night and wake up breathing like an opera singer...I assume they breathe really well. It can be used again and again for several months of semi-regular use. This particular product has the kick of the famous Sinus Buster, but has a better finish by far, thanks to eucalyptus and wintergreen oil. It makes my sinuses open up with ease on dusty Fall days in my pollen-filled area, leaving my nose feeling clean, open and breathing like a champ. DON'T share your nasal spray (and germs) with friends, but DO share Sinus Plumber as gifts. Your friends will love you Pepper-Spraying their nostrils, as mine do. Plumb on!

Congested? This will clear it!
I completely understood what I was getting myself into. I mean, it’s made Cayenne pepper and horseradish and it goes up my nose. I KNEW this couldn’t feel good. But yet somehow, I still wasn’t adequately prepared for just how powerful the burn of intense pepper would be in my nose. Crap; now I have to do the other nostril. Everything will run. Everything. You snot, you blot, you will cry and you may even think whoever invented this stuff is insane, but holy cow does it clear you out! I was sick and struggling with getting anything to drain. I’m on day 3 and I’m already getting used to the burn. If you’re desperate to breathe again, buckle up butter cup, and give this a go! This remedy is 100% worth it and will clear you out!
