Going Strong!
These headphones are great. These are part of my every day items. I don't like to leave the house without these. (I proof read, and I'm re typing this after, sorry for sounding like an NPC haha). I have asked for a lot of feedback when I'm talking to others, because I want to make sure they aren't getting crazy feedback from my end and wind noise etc. They say I sound very clear, and they do mention some wind noise but I also have the Soundcore P40i. I just got them, and on the app for those, they have a wind reduction option. So honestly, if you want a great LOUD headphone with the Transparent mode also, go with the P40i. If you ride motorcycles especially, I would recommend these, or the soundcore buds that have transparent mode. If you ride with a helmet, these are great to be able to hear horns and ambulances without the price tag of beats, or pods. These headphones are priced so fair. The first pair I bought was the P20i. Over a year ago and still have them and they are working so well still. I just got the P40i the other day and those are the most insane sounding ear buds I've ever used. They have the most bass and clear sounding vocals I've ever heard on a headphone. Go Soundcore, go with the in the ear, ear buds though. Don't get the old school apple white corded ear phones, get the in the ear with the replaceable tips. I am in welding school and it gets loud. These help get rid of most of the noise, and have protected my ears from Sparks as well as slag(hardened flux that protects the weld, but is still soooo hot). :) if you're a reader, I hope we had some fun till now, and if not, sorry lol. Take care friends and please, give soundcore a try, their quality isn't defined by their cost. In this case, a fair cost for a GREAT product. Edit: I absolutely dislike when you accidentally drop the case. It violently opens up and the headphones launch out of it... It's one of the most ridiculous and dramatic things I've seen from electronics lol. That's my only complaint, make the not have a door that has a lot of pressure to open back up from the hinge lol. Literally shoots open and launches the headphones from like a 2 ft drop on carpet.... serious??? I shouldn't drop it, but I'm human! Lol! Edit:... Worth the occasional headphone and case pop fly lol. Like a 6 month review and these things are so great. Best headphones ever, and so comfortable after the initial 2 weeks for your ears to get used to them. They'll be a little irritated if you don't use ear buds a lot. Transparent mode is very close to real time sound. Edit Jan 5, 2025: Still my favorite headphones. They dropped like 6 inches onto the carpet and did the most dramatic jack in the box pop out. It was ridiculous. Still 10/10 Edit Mar 3,2026 Same pair, still going strong! Wearing them right now while writing his review. Battery life for the ear buds is a 7.5/10. Battery life for the case is definitely a solid 9/10. Might need to clean off the charging terminals with a Q tip. I’ve noticed that sometimes my right one doesn’t charge (I use it the most) and I just slightly clean the terminals after a few months, and it immediately receives a charge. Update: August 30, 2026. Still going strong, and shooting out of the case when I drop them lol.. Best headphones I have ever used, ever. Battery is max at 80% max charge on right ear, because my most used side, but other than that, absolutely wonderful earbuds.

Really Excellent Audio Quality and Noise-Cancelling in a Well-Priced Product
The noise-cancelling and sound quality are top-notch - really excellent. The Space A40 is one of the best wireless ANC models offered today and well worth the price. Set-up is easy. They stick in your ears pretty well when doing fairly placid exercise like hiking, walking, yoga, weightlifting - might not always stay in place while doing competitive team sports with a lot of rough movement, potential collisions with other athletes and so on. They can handle a bit of water splashing in their direction but I noticed the sound quality is reduced for a while when water gets into the space between the bud tip and your ear - until you work the water out of the space.

Nice but disappointing noise cancellation and loud battery warning
Great earphones but not for sleeping or serious noise cancellation. Soundcore makes sleep earbuds, I know, but they were much more expensive so I tried these first. The sound was great. Wonderful fit and they come with different sizes of ear tips. Easy to pair with my phone. All great until the two things I wanted them for: noise cancellation and streaming audiobooks while I sleep (the only magic cure for my insomnia). The earbuds claim 98% noise blocking. I could still hear all kinds of noises: street sounds, neighbor dogs, regular talking, the AC that I was desperately hoping to block. Noise was less but like 40% less, at most. I tried all the methods suggested to make cancellation better. Disappointing, especially when I tried my husband's Bose earbuds and no sound got through. I might have lived with this but the battery didn't last through the night in noise cancellation mode and bellowed "low battery, " seemingly at a higher volume. There's no way to turn this off?!? Come on! Even if I weren't trying to sleep I don't want earbuds yelling at me. Anyway...for regular, non-sleep uses they're great and you'll probably like them. I am grateful that these could be easily returned.

Terrific overall; but with several cautions after using them for a while
These last for at least 8 hours, the ANC is great, the case is compact. Get the app for your phone--you can adjust various things, particularly the equalization curve. As an audio engineer, I hate the numerous brainless equalization curves, labelled with such meaningless terms as "Dance" or "Hip-Hop" or "Lounge" and so forth. No, you equalize for flatter bass, midrange, or treble. That's about it. And the app lets you adjust those things manually, fortunately. Other than that, great product. Aftermarket foam tips do a better job of sealing and minimize risk of falling out. Get these. UPDATE TWO MONTHS LATER: (1) Tried using them while running a lawn mower. Yes, the noise-reduction really does work. To my great surprise, the foam and regular tips were about equally effective. The foam might still be slightly better if they help to keep the buds in place. With my ears, not much difference as the tips don't go into the ear very far anyway, so foam doesn't make much difference. (2) The original buds had an issue--the right bud sometimes wouldn't recharge securely, resulting in a dead bud the next time I wanted to use them. I found that when you put each one in the case, the white light is supposed to come on for a few seconds, indicating a charging connection. The right bud was unreliable in this regard. I returned them, and the new set worked perfectly. (3) I liked them so much I bought a second set. I thought I'd save some money by buying Refurb. HUGE MISTAKE! The refurbs only updated to a version 4pointsomething, rather than 5.39 of the first set, and the noise reduction was lousy. Returned. I then bought another NEW set, which updated to the latest firmware, and the noise reduction was terrific, like the first set. (4) I discovered it makes a big difference to use the smartphone app to calibrate them to your particular hearing. The app actually performs a hearing test at several frequencies and creates a response curve. If you then use that curve as your reference, these things are amazingly well-balanced. So I'm taking off one star because of the charging issue on the first set, and issuing a caution about getting a refurb set which can't or won't update to the latest firmware version. But once you get a good set, they are terrific. ADDITIONAL NOTE: make sure when you put each one away for charging that the white light on the case comes on for a second or two, indicating contact. I discovered that my ear wax or oil or whatever would often prevent good contact, meaning that I needed to wipe the contacts down every time. Also, if you use the bud for so long that it goes completely dead, then when you put it in the case to charge the light will not come on. But after 5 minutes of charging, you can take the bud out and put it back in and then the light will come on as usual. UPDATE 1 May 2025: So I've been using these virtually every night in bed for listening to music for hours before I go to sleep. They are terrific, and the noise canceling is stellar, if you use the app to make sure that the fit is as good as it can be. It's very important when taking them out of your ears to do a quick wipe of the earbud gold contacts on a cotton shirt or something before putting them in the case. Otherwise the connection may not be very good and they may not charge very well. But that's a trivial point, overall these are absolutely First Rate, and I've been giving them heavy use with no issues whatsoever. Noise cancellation is exceptional, frequency response is excellent once they are tuned to your particular ears via the app and the price is reasonable. Rating back up to five stars. I've now bought four sets for myself and friends and family.

Update 11-04-23- at bottom of review
I just got these in the mail today. Dropped them on the wireless charger, got them to full capacity and set them up. Easy enough to pair, had to remove the little stickers over the ear bud charging contact, but then good to pair. The app was easy to set up. Has a familiar hearing test set up to fine tune the EQ for my screwed up hearing. Swapped the really tiny rubber ear bud plugs to a larger size to fit. Then fired up my music app. I was pleasantly surprised! They sound great, much better than expected! Look, people complaining about lack off bass need to realize what they stuck in their ear! For wireless ear buds, these have more than adequate bass. Great mids and highs as well. Happy with the sound quality!! I listen to old (& not so old) rock, some metal, hip hop (before it turned into whatever these kids today call hip hop), mellow "office music" all the way to singing bowls for meditation... these seem great right out of the gate. You see I got these during Amazon big deal days for about half off, $50 or so. They were gonna be back ups for my Jabra ear buds. I used to use some old Sony extra bass wired buds that cost 20 bucks 10 years ago ( the sound on those were really good for my eclectic audio preferences) as my back ups. However the new cell phones don't have a 3.5 mm plug, so I needed an extra pair of wireless when the main ones are Recharging. As of today, I can see these being in the mix with the main pair! They really sound good and fit nice too. They are comfortable at this point, but alas; I have yet to wear them for hours on end. I cannot yet verify battery life or any other longer term possible issues. I will for myself and the purpose of this review use the statements provided by Anker as true, until proven wrong. At that point, if it should arise, I will gladly return to this review and update. As of today, I would recommend these, even at full price. Unless something catastrophic occurs, I would get these again. I have alot of Anker stuff, chargers, cables etc. and haven't had any issues with those. Seems they are doing pretty good in the ear bud arena as well! Any issues arise, I will be back to let you all know!!! Thanks for reading my review, hope it helps you. UPDATE: These things have been outperforming my $250+ buds everytime. No regrets in buying these. There are still running strong. The ANC is on par with higher end units. Recently flew for a few hours each way: zero (or no noticeable) latency while watching movies- the actors mouth and words match up great. The ANC does its best with airplane noise, but still let's in some cabin buzz. I used an over the ear set of cheapy headphones with ANC in addition to these beautys and no problems, almost no noise. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of buds; great sound, great battery life- you charge the case with a wireless charger, nice convenience. They don't fall out with snug rubber tips installed. Better than the numerous "beats" I've tried and definitely on par and outperforming my high end Jabra. Again, you should not have any issues with these at all and will be thanking that random reviewer so talking you into these!!!! Time will tell if these last, and so will I; I'll be back if anything fails on these.

Good sound quality earbuds for the non-active lifestyle.
I have a Love hate relationship with these. First let me say I've had a pair of Life dot 2's and A1's both also made by anker but with a slightly more active design that incorporated Rubber buttons, And Silicone Ear flares of different sizes to help hold them in. These Space A40's do not have as strong of a bass as the Soundcore life dot 2's or A1's they do have a cleaner very clear sound so If you like classical slow music or podcasts watching movies etc they're good there, and the Noise canceling is awesome. They also feature a small very compact case and they look very sleek with the black and silver. Now for the cons that keep my opinion of them for my own use on the fence after having them for long enough to use them for everything. These do not have bottons. they are touch sensitive and sometimes do not register the amount of times you touch them, so you get the wrong input meaning I wanted to change the volume and instead skipped my song, or vise versa very annoying. They also feature a completely plastic body with only silicone utilized for the tip. so They're quick to fall out of your ears if you exercise or work up any kind of sweat, and when you touch them to adjust them in your ear they usually do something you didn't want them to do because of the touch sensitive design instead of buttons lol... They also are only IPX4 rated which is only water resistant in the case of water or sweat getting on them, so if you drop them in water they're likely toast unlike the Life dot 2's which are IPX5 and The A1's which were IPX7 rated meaning fully submersible for a small period. My overall assessment of the Space A40 earbuds is these are great for low activity users who are not intending on having a real strong bass and want clear audio with good noise canceling and a good battery life. I think for the price they're good compared to other makers but I feel like it's a shame that anker has made very similar earbuds in the past (lacking the compact case and sound canceling) that were more water resistant, stayed in your ear better and Had physical buttons for roughly $20 less and they discontinued them leaving these the most similar design which unfortunately just falls short for the people like me who like relaxing at home or on your work break listening to music, podcasts, shows etc and then later going for a jog or lifting weights because of their lack of retention in your ears and the buttonless design. I will keep using these as they're great, where they're good. but for the active lifestyle they leave you wanting more in places their previous similar models didn't.

Good sound and ANC, water resistant
These are my go to earbuds! They fit well, block noise decently, even without the noise cancellation on, and last quite a while on a charge. Sound is quite good on default settings, but app adjustments make them sound great. They look pretty good, and the touch controls are quite responsive. They are smooth plastic, so they are a little slippery at times. Setting them up in the app is a breeze, and getting the best sound out of them only takes a few minutes of testing and adjusting. These work great with a single or both earbuds. I use one on transparency mode (so I can hear if a customer comes in) to listen to audiobooks while at work. I also use them for wind blocking while riding my motorcycle. I do not use the noise cancellation for this, as it is far too loud for it to work. I just use them in normal mode, which cuts the loud rushing sound of the wind and muffles the sound of my exhaust, both by a good bit. I can still hear, but it's not so loud. I bought these specifically because they are water resistant. They have survived every rain shower I've ridden through, including a thunderstorm that soaked me. I was wearing a half helmet and the right earbud got wet. No change in performance.

Great for sleep! Not so much for exercise..
I bought these for around $50, and for that price they're a great value. The biggest advantage is comfort—I can actually sleep with them in, which was my main reason for buying them. The sound quality is excellent, and the HearID feature is awesome. It helped personalize the sound and made a noticeable difference. I also really liked that they include multiple sizes of ear tips, making it easier to find a comfortable fit. That said, there are a few downsides. The touch controls are a little inconsistent and don't always respond the way I expect. They also don't automatically pause when an earbud falls out, which would be a nice feature. The microphones are usable, but call quality isn't great. They also don't stay in very well during sweaty workouts, so I wouldn't recommend them as dedicated gym earbuds. Overall, these are excellent sleep earbuds and a great budget option. They aren't perfect, but for around $50 they deliver a lot of value. If your priority is comfort, sound quality, personalized audio, and being able to wear earbuds while sleeping, these are worth considering. For heavy workouts or the best call quality, you may want something more specialized.

Amazing sound and battery, best in price
Editing my previous review, I bought this in november 2023, and loved the sound, but the batery seemed less, but i loved the sound so much tht i didnt return. After 3 month i posted a review, saying lovely sound but battery is less. I was contacted by seller saying we r sorry, and we would like to make it up to u, and we offer a ful refund. I responded tht i would prefer if u send me a new one if battery is more, they accepted immediately. I reutned the old unit without any shipping charges and a new space a40 reached me within 2 days. And i love not only love the sound, but the app customization options, now the battery is also more than +7 hrs continuous music, and charging speed is also fast. I compared these with soundpeats free 2 classic, soundpeats mini, soundpeats mini pro, soundpeats engine 4, jabra elite 7 pro, one plus evo, (yes i love collecting n enjoying alot of these.) and i can confidently say i can rank it almost at the top, in terms of sound and battery life. The best part is sellers concern, responsiveness and their confidence in their product and going out of the way to resolve a customer issue and thus winning respect and a returning customer. This was my first experience with soundcore but i m impressed n wil definitely buy again n recomend to everyone. Highly recomended

Great value for money
I lost my AirPods and wanted to buy a replacement without spending too much. Read glowing reviews online and went ahead and bought on Amazon.SG. Delivery was very quick, setting up was easy and works as promised. Noise cancellation is reasonably good too.

Geweldige prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Amazing Mic and Sound quality
Great value for money, amazing base, perfect mic, very light on ears. i used to use Samsung Galaxy bud 2 Pro but after using Soundcore A40, i have realised it is much better in terms of call quality, music perhaps the same (but in nearly half the price of samsung buds). 3D sound is not so great though, but overall great music and call experience.
