This grater has multiple uses and works very well!!
This grater worked wonderfully for shredding boiled potatoes to make my home version of hash browns! It made fast work of shredding them! I was so glad to have this easy-to-assemble and clean gem! The “pusher” kept me from having to endanger my fingers while shredding. I got a color that coordinates with my kitchen. It’s lovely. The cone I selected made the perfect size shreds for my purpose. It worked perfectly with the suction on my countertop! It is a tool I will use for many years!

A Kitchen Tool I Cannot Live Without
I use this just about every single day. I am a firm believer in shredding my own cheese, this makes it sooooooo easy. I have the Kitchenaid attachment but haven't used that one since I got this. It's small and easy to store. easy to clean and disassemble for dishwasher. I've used it to make THE MOST PERFECT chips (potatoes), and to cut carrots, celery, -- but mainly for cheese! it works great!

Excellent cheese shredder!
This is my husbands favorite Christmas gift I have ever purchased for him. We use this all the time. The only bummer is that it’s not all machine washable and doesn’t suction to our wood counter, but if you don’t have that it would be great. Feels high quality and shreds great!

Great product worth the price and more
Worked like a charm used the slicer and fried great potato chips! Easy to assemble! Easy to use. I was worried about it standing steady during use but it attached to the counter too like magic. Worth every penny!

This is AMAZING & POWERFUL!
This is AMAZING & POWERFUL! LOVE it! It's a great space saver, light weight for arthritic hands, easy to use & SO powerful! It grates and slices with ease & SO FAST! & secures tightly to flat counter. I grated soft & hard cheese, potato slices, grated potato's. & it's beautiful, if you treat it with respect, I can see it lasting a LONG TIME. WOW I want to buy my Mom one now!

Meh...It's ok I guess
Tired of trimming my nails using a box grater, I purchased this after watching so many people in videos using rotary graters. This is the first rotary grater I have ever used (except that hand held one sold by Pampered Chef) so maybe they are all like this one. Here are the things I do not like: 1. Shredding cheese - if it is a harder cheese like parmesan, it's fine, but a softer cheese like a cheddar, tends to get clogged up inside the rotary blade if you don't keep reaching up and pulling it out. Shouldn't it just come out with either gravity or pushed out as more cheese is grated? 2. Suction - There are several issues surrounding the suction which is how this product holds onto a countertop. You turn the little handle in the back to make or break the suction. I am handicapped, so I do as much prep as I can at the dining table - which is wood and this product doesn't adhere by suction to my table. I have a glass cutting board that I attach it to. HOWEVER, I am not strong enough to turn that suction knob at the angle the shredder needs to be to turn the handle to shred. It's a good thing that I have to use the glass cutting board because I can turn that at a 90 degree angle to turn the suction knob, and then turn the cutting board back to actually start shredding. If I am shredding something harder, like a carrot, or trying to use the ice crusher, I have to try to hold the shredder stable while simultaneously holding down that little thing in the top to push the food through with my left hand while turning the hand crank with my right hand, otherwise the suction messes up and I have to try to stick it down again. 3. Slicer - I think I have only tried slicing potatoes. The blades are sharp so they do slice fairly easily, but part of the potatoes get stuck between the blade and the plastic housing so every few potatoes I have to take it all apart and put it back together to keep slicing. It's definitely faster and easier than using a knife, safer than using a box grater/slicer or mandolin, but if you are making au gratin potatoes, especially for a crowd, I'd dig out the food processor and use that instead. I find that while the thickness of the slices are pretty uniform, the slices are not "pretty" because once the potato is in there, the blade is just going to slice whichever side touches it so you aren't likely to get pretty little "rounds." 4. It's kind of hard to take apart to clean. Mostly just trying to press the "ejection button" while trying to slide the top piece off. It's nice that it feels pretty sturdy, but as I make purchases to make my life easier as I age, I have to wonder why things have to be so difficult. The irony of it all. IS THERE ANYTHING I LIKE? lol yah, as mentioned, it is definitely a safter option (when used and cleaned with care) than using a mandolin or box grater, and more precise thickness of slices than using a knife. I do use this product frequently and haven't tried replacing it so I guess it's not THAT annoying. I would, however, be very curious to purchase a different one just to see how they compare. Maybe my rating on this one would actually increase?

Yes, buy this one...
I waited a few months before reviewing this as I wanted to be able to use it a number on times and to let my husband and son use it while we try to save some money buying bulk cheese instead of the already shredded small bags. It works wonderfully, they haven't broke it either when they used it. Dissembles and cleans easily by hand. Shreds cheese as fast as you can turn the crank. Like the different sized (5) grating/slicing inserts to get the shred you desire.

A wonderful product
This may be the single greatest kitchen gadget I've gotten. I am coming from a box grater and as a result I hated shredding stuff with it like cheese. And then cleaning a box grater is clunky and weird. Its big with lots of sharp edges that can scuff your sponges if you're not paying attention. If you've ever used a mechanical pencil sharpener in school then you know how to use this. Just stick a deli container under the spout and this beast can shred two cups of cheese in about 10 seconds. I also use it to slice cucumber for cucumber sandwiches and to slice salami for charcuterie. It is a wonderful device. The one bummer is the seal that secures it so you can shred. It won't work on my counter and will only stick to my stovetop if I first wipe it with a wet rag so the surface is a bit damp... and then it sticks almost too well. One other thing I should mention is the clean up. Its much easier than a box grater in that the blades are smaller and cylindrical so they're easier to soak and get your sponge into. All you have to do is fold ypur sponge in half and spin it around a few times. The right angles on a box grater make cleaning the inside clunkier. Get this gadget 👍 👍

Cheese lovers dream
Love this cheese grater! It comes with more pieces than others I’ve tried, and it works really well. I don’t have to get a workout just to grate cheese anymore—but I might get one when it’s time to clean it. Luckily, it’s actually very easy to clean since all the parts come apart for quick washing and storage. Love it, and love cheese. I win.
