My Shaldan Japan Gel Car Perfume Air Freshener (Orange, 80 g)

** First Impression ** ● Its a small all-tin-can, with a ventilated plastic cap and the contents sealed in another pull-to-open cap ● The label says Made in Japan. Manufacturing Date as well as Import Date are printed ● The MRP printed is ₹298/- ● The contents are of 80gm as labelled on the can ● The tin is around 3 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches high ** Usage & Performance ** ● The can is opened by pulling the ring, after removing the plastic cap. The plastic cap has to be refit then ● The pleasant citrus smell surges into your nose instantly. The fragrance is similar to the orange-skin-peeling scent ● There is a nice soft shiny cake revealed inside. Its slightly viscous ● I placed this in my rear door bottle holder to avoid direct sunlight. I am sure this will lose its water content if placed on dashboard, and thus may have a reduced life ● The pleasant aroma gushes into your nose when the door is opened, which I like very much ● It took more than 3 months until the gel vanished, but I moved it out of my car to my living room at the end of 2 months by which the fragrance intensity went too low enough to fill my car. However, my occassional guests had asked me about the orange smell in my living room ● The plastic cap has got a slider to open or close the vents. But I don't find it any effective since closing the vents did not stop the fragrance from spreg ● The empty can being non-plastic is environment friendly that be thrown away to your backyard ** I don't like these ** ● The gel is viscous such that if the can tips over and stays there for a day, the gel starts spilling out slowly. However, I think it is manufactured so for a purpose ** Value for Money ** ● I purchased this for ₹295/- in 2015 and for ₹219/- in 2016 ● This has the fragrance I like in my car which is not too strong ● I had this in my car for 2 months after which I used it in my living room for another month ● I am quite happy with this purchase and I rate 5 stars.

Smell good for first 2 months. In the 3rd month not feeling anything. But it is natural, not harm. Good try. Waiting for a improved version

This is not a review of how good the product is. Won't lie, I really like this my shaldan stuff n how it makes my car feeling fresh from inside, so if you're looking for a review to help you decide on buying or not, I'd say Go For It. The three stars is because I received an ORANGE when I ordered a LIME! These kind of glitches r such a let down.

Good Smell and lasting long

I have used My Shaldan air fresheners before, and they used to have a strong, long-lasting fragrance. Unfortunately, the quality seems to have declined. This one has a very weak smell and barely freshens the car. Considering the high price, I expected much better quality. If the fragrance isn't improved, I won't be buying this product again. Very disappointing.

Unlike some stubborn automotive products, the lid pulls away cleanly without any annoying wrestling or prying, which I genuinely appreciate. However, once you finally get inside, the plastic intensity regulator cap that sits on top feels a bit flimsy and loose, making it slightly difficult to accurately meter out the scent profile inside a compact car cabin. When you dive into the actual product description, the marketing fluff and pseudo scientific claims reach a hilarious peak. The Seller/Brand boasts that the natural limonene oil used in the gel is an ancient medical miracle capable of aiding your digestion, easing constipation, and curing hangovers just by sitting near your dashboard. This is absolute nonsense designed to make a simple car perfume sound like a therapeutic healthcare intervention. In reality, limonene is simply the volatile aromatic compound extracted from citrus peels that evaporates into the air to mask foul odors. It smells like a very bright, punchy, and authentic freshly sliced lemon rather than a chemical cleaning spray, but it is certainly not a medical detox tool. The biggest piece of deception is how the brand manipulates its heritage to fool regular shoppers. The entire listing screams about it being a premium Japanese product since 1948, but if you look closely at the fine print under the country of origin, this air freshener is actually manufactured in Thailand. While the quality of the raw citrus oil scent is genuinely assured and fills the car nicely, it is much better car perfume than many chemical cocktails selling in name of car perfume.
