This works and I’m so grateful. I scoured the reviews for how to use it, lots of advice there. This stuff should be in everyone’s medicine drawer! And it’s natural, no side effects. Can’t believe my urologist didn’t mention this. But for sure I’ll be telling him about it!

This product works for treatment of chronic urinary tract infection. It helped in controlling the UTI infection for my dad who is bed ridden due to hemiplegia. Also the sugar does not increase the blood sugar in the body. But it has to be taken in moderation of 1 teaspoon twice or thrice a day or else it may damage kidneys.

It's very effective product providing quick relief from UTI.

THIS PRODUCT WORKS! I had my doubts after years of UTI'S and antibiotic therapy. Good bye antibiotics!! When u start feeling the burning and frequency of an infection, start taking this as directed w lots of water. Keep going at least one day after symptoms subside which is usually in one day! The e.coli bacteria actually sticks to the sugar in the bladder instead of the cell walls of the bladder...and washes out with good water intake. Safe for diabetics. A GOD SEND!!!!!

This is one of my must have supplements. It helps every time I have an urinary infection. I take a spoonful of it in four ounces of water followed by lot of water after half an hour. I have it every three to four hours on the first day and then reduce the dosage depending upon easing of symptoms.

I have suffered from chronic UTI's since i was 2 years old... yes... 2 years old!!!! I had a seziure at that age caused by a high feaver from a urinary tract infection that progressed to my kidneys. Scared the heck out of my poor mom. I had to have surgery. Fast forward a few years and I kept having UTIs, not a ton but still some, fast forward to elementry school and they came in full force, middle school and highschool ... and college. I was having a UTI... EVERY ... SINGLE... MONTH!!!! I was missing so much school from being in crippling pain, i could hardly walk. My life was miserable. I had a specialized urologist (urinary doctor) who kept giving me different types of UTI meds that made me nauseous all the time, then i had to take yeast infection meds because it caused yeast infections. Also, the UTI always came back in full force. She put me on a low dose of daily antibiotics hoping that would help, it helped a little but they still came back and the meds made me get yeast infections I tried changing my diet, it helped a little with bladder pain, but not as much as i hoped. D-MANNOSE CHANGED MY LIFE, no joke. If you suffer from UTIs you will find great relief from this super sugar. Ive been using this for 8 years or so and if you have a UTI itll clear up in a day!! I was shocked the first time i took it, even medications dont work that fast!!! I actually taught my frustrated urologist about dmannose. She had so many patients she wanted to help who were at their wits end. She saw it worked so well for me, so she started recommending it to her patients with great success! Normally ecoil (#1 bacteria that causes UTIs) attaches to the urinary tract and hooks on real tight. Water cant flush it out since it has a good grip on your urinary tract. This is where dmannose comes in, it loosens the grip of the bacteria and it attaches to the dmannose. Now the ecoli is free flowing and can be easily flushed out. Thats how this simple sugar works. D-Mannose is a monosaccharide, a simple sugar but unlike glucose your body absorbs D-Mannose eight times slower. Because it is hard for our bodies to absorb D-Mannose, it passes straight to the blood stream, then through the kidneys into the bladder. Your body does not metabolize D-Mannose like other sugars, and that’s why D-Mannose powder does not affect the blood sugar levels, and therefore is safe for the diabetics and does not cause weight gain. D-Mannose does not kill the bacteria and therefore does not increase it’s resistance. It just flushes it out. Dont waste your money with the pill form as this powder tastes like nothing (just a little sweet) and just stirs easy into water. You dont notice it at all. Take some if you feel a urinary Tract infection coming on, itll stop it right in its tract!!! ;) Better than antibiotics from my experience!! Try it out yourself!

This is not meant as medical advice. Please speak to your doctor about your questions and see your doctor if you have a medical emergency. Now D-Mannose powder was easy to use and met my needs. This is just what I did to get rid of a UTI without taking antibiotics. Out of the blue, a UTI began to brew for a few days. I had hoped it would settle down on its own since I hadn't had one in years, but it didn't. It REALLY didn't! You know what I'm talking about if you've ever had a UTI. I have a sulfa allergy due to recurrent UTI's from my teen years through early thirties. I didn't want to take other antibiotics either, given their growing list of side effects. I read reviews here, looked at information on the Dr. Mercola website, and looked up his references listed at the bottom of his article, then I read the reviews on that website. Here is what I did to get rid of it: 1) I took Uristat as recommended on the package up to 3 times per day for 3 days for pain. I understand there are newer medications on the market that don't turn urine bright orange. I may use that in the future, if the need arises. 2) Every 4 hours while I was awake (e.g., 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm): One hour before meals/snacks and at bedtime, I took 1 teaspoon mannose powder and 1 tablespoon raw apple cider vinegar (Braggs) in one cup of warm filtered water. I waited 30 minutes, then drank another cup of warm filtered water. I waited 30 minutes then went to bathroom. Note: I took this because, a) Warm water, taken before meals, passes quickly through the stomach to get absorbed more rapidly, b) waiting to drink the second cup of water concentrates the mannose for a time, which increases the likelihood that the bacteria will attach to the mannose molecules, c) the second cup of water provides a "flush" of liquids, d) the bacteria stick to the mannose as it passes through the urinary tract, (your body gets rid of mannose pretty quickly since it is not used much in human metabolism), e) apple cider vinegar alkalizes the urine so that bacteria are not defensive; otherwise the bacteria would "huddle" and protect each other from attaching to the mannose (it's their chemical reaction in a hostile environment. It isn't like they "know" what they are doing), f) raw apple cider vinegar has minerals; anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties; and probiotics (i.e., good bacteria) that help to restore a healthy balance, 3) Offset every other 4 hours while I was awake (e.g., 8am, 12noon, 4pm, 8pm): 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice in one cup of warm water. I was sure to limit the salt in my diet while I was taking baking soda. Note: I took this because, a) baking soda and lemon juice alkalizes the body and urine so that bacteria are not defensive; otherwise the bacteria would "huddle" and protect each other from attaching to the mannose (it's their chemical reaction in a hostile environment. It isn't like they "know" what they are doing), b) FRESH lemon juice is an acid with an average pH of 2 but acts as an alkalizing agent in the body due to its anionic properties. c) drinking water provides a continual flush, d) baking soda sets up an alkaline environment for the next mannose "flush" I remembered to NOT take vinegar and baking soda at the same time. Remember the chemistry/science volcano experiment as a kid? Bubbly "lava" coming up my throat is a rather gruesome thought to me. I don't know if that would happen, but I can envision things going wrong if I took them both at the same time.

There are so many good reasons to use D Mannose Powder! Everything from lowering the rate of Urinary Tract and Bladder Infections to acting as a kind of natural blood sugar stabilizer and anti-biotic of sorts it's a great product. It dissolves almost instantly so you can add it to water and or whatever juice you're drinking and you wouldn't notice it flavor wise though it does have a sweetening effect. I could probably rate it higher just because of how much I believe in it, however. In this case the bottle settled so much that it was about 1/3 full when it arrived. Our cabinets are already slam full of items that are not sized to fit what's in them but to be something like 'ad space' so while I appreciate that they make a nice bottle and everything it's just way too large for 3 oz of powder. My other concern is that it also may cause some stomach upset if you aren't using it with food (if you're prone to that) and you may want to build-up over time to get used to it some. It would probably be a perfect additive to unsweetened ice tea or fresh squeezed lemonade. I've used it with green tea and it tasted great. People with severe allergies may want to check that it's made on equipment where some of them are processed.

This is a fast acting supplement. Easy to use by dissolving in water. I highly recommend it.
