Fantastic travel set for beginners, even artists use them !
Amazing travel set , has everything!! ❤️ ✔️ Compact yet has colour cakes , water brush , palette , also can be used as a paper support on the go the back case where u can see I have placed my swatch sheet . ✔️ Vibrant colours , not chalky (use only on water colour paper for best effect) ✔️When I say beginner friendly, many artist also still use them . ✔️ Perfect set , colour assortment for water colour enthusiasts , can explore , experiment, learn and enjoy water colours . ✔️Sturdy , osm ,cute palette 💔💩 👎🏻not for serious artworks 👎🏻 Some colours do get chalky after a while , but that's ok it's not too much of a big deal. 👎🏻little expensive when it's in rupees 🙈

Overall Really Nice Watercolours
It's a really nice product! Honestly, I'm a total beginner and didn't buy these specifically for traveling, but wasn't disappointed. The quality is really nice, not chalky at all. Totally worth the slightly higher price point. The brush could have been better, though. It isn't super effective and water drips out from the sides. If you're looking for better quality water brush, I recommend buying that separately. I know I didn't buy it for traveling specifically, but it's actually quite compact and small and easy to carry around. There's a small ring on the back that you can use to hold it securely. It has everything you need to paint outside. If you're using this at home, I suggest putting the mixing palette on the side because it doesn't lie totally level when you put it in the grooves provided, which isn't something I prefer. I cut down my watercolor paper to fit in the lid and added swatches, you can also use that area as a flat surface to paint. Overall, I really like this product, the only complaint I have is the provided water brush, otherwise it's a really great set, I really recommend it.

Great for students
The koi sakura 24 shades watercolours are really pigmented and saturated highly the pigments are of high quality but unlike my Winsor and newton and other artist grade paints they don’t have high pigmentation and contrast and it’s true because they are identified as student grade I as a travel artist will definetley use this on my travel but I will use my Winsor and newton field box set and the koi sakura 24 shades watercolours field set box this is great for students but I noticed some yellow sticky spots on my paints so I learned that was gum Arabic a adhesive used to make the pigments stick so they are high quality looks great great for students

Added to my list of favourite watercolor supplies
Rich pigments. A variety of colours. Comes with a detachable palette, a waterbrush and even two cute little sponges on the side. Ideal for people who travel and paint. Otherwise also, it’s a great buy. Absolutely love it.

Heavily pigmented, beautifully bleeding shades.
The box set is handy and perfect for home and outdoor use. The colours are beautifully pigmented and the quality is simply wow. I totally recommend this product. 👍🏻

Amazing colours!
Amazing colours...could not ask for more! ❤️❤️❤️ Was expecting more of vibrant colours and little big cakes but these are also fine for beginners. Price is little high. Please i would request to provide bigger cakes and price little low😄

Sakura Koi watercolors, Set of 24 colors
After using this product for about a month now I think now I am capable of giving a review. I loved the color scheme as it has all the important colors to work on any desired painting. Color pigment is good but they are Matte and CHALKY. I tried so hard but I can see on pan the chalky fillers. My few colors are so dry that they have cracks on them. I feel these are good student grade watercolors rather than artist grade. They are expensive so think before u purchase. Again, u can buy it solely for the color scheme and decent color payoff.

it has a good selection of colours
I wouldn't go so far as to say that these are artist grade paints, but they are very high quality student grade paints. The price is fair too as it retails here for the same amount as everywhere else in Asia. Regarding the paints itself, it has a good selection of colours, although some pigments perform better than others. The black and a few green shades in particular tend to become powdery when too much water is added. They are not as vibrant as artist quality paints either. The palette itself is sturdy and convenient, the palette can be opened and the mixing tray can be attached to the side, beside the paint, and your paper can be held above in the lid. This is very helpful if you plan on painting in the field. The water brush is also good if you don't plan on doing very fine work and only plan on doing small washes. The fact that you don't have to carry a water container around is also nice. Overall, i'd recommend this is you're looking for a nice cheap set for practicing watercolor.

the new love of my life
I have a lot of really great things to say about this set, I'm probably going to miss something but here goes. I bought this about two weeks? ago and I was instantly impressed. It probably helps that I wasn't using very good stuff before. The brush releases the paint much easier than the derwent I was using before, which meant I didn't use as much water. The colours are fantastic and the paint itself is great, it's easy to use gradually instead of getting TOO much paint right away like my old watercolour pallet. The sponges on the side are extremely helpful for washing my brushes. It's so small and compact and there's even a spot for a brush, so I only have to grab the pallet and my sketchbook and I'm good to go. The only problem I really have with this is it seems harder to lift water and paint off my painting with this brush, it's not a huge deal since I always work with a kleenex or cloth next to me, but it's nicer to have that paintbrush precision. All in all, I am so happy with this, I told a friend all about it and she's asked me to order a set for her. And if you're like me and like to work small, I'd suggest also buying the smaller brush that I bought with this, (then you'll have a small and medium brush for a good price)

Buen producto.

This portable set got me interested in watercolor painting .. great for beginners and for outdoor sketching
Please note: The 5 star rating is for the good color options and the convenience of a portable watercolor kit for painting on the go - and from the prospective of someone very new to using watercolors. I joined an outdoor sketching group over a year ago. Painting outside presented several challenges for me and my initial attempts were frustrated by the difficulty in juggling brushes, paints, a water bottle- all while holding onto the sketchbook and trying to draw in it! After I discovered water brushes and stumbled on this Koi Sakura portable watercolor set, I was finally able to get down to the business of painting. At first, I wasn't sure if I'd like watercolor as a medium and didn't want to spend too much. At less than $25 for the color range and portability, I felt I couldn't go wrong buying this set. At that time, I also purchased the Cotman 14-color watercolor set but didn't like the flimsy-feeling palette and the paints kept falling out. I needed something easier to manage. This 24-color set had all the shades I needed with a few colors I don't even use. It folds up neatly into a small, square box that fits into my shoulder bag. The colors are strong and more on the opaque side - which was my preference, initially. The problem I did have with the Sakura paints is that mixing colors created muddy results. I read somewhere to not mix more than 2 colors together if not using single pigmented watercolor brands. These are beginner/student quality but are much better than the retail store stuff that's all chalk and barely produces any color. I've only used the included brush a few times early on. It was too much work to take off the plug and then attach the brush end to the barrel (and then dismantle in reverse after I was done). Instead, I bought several other fuller length water brushes. I like the Niji, Kuretake and Pentel Aquash brushes and have used Derwent ones as well. I just store the other water brushes (won't fit the Sakura case) with my drawing pens and pencils that I bring along with me, in a pencil pouch. Now I'm ready for better quality paints and the price difference is considerable. I plan to keep this Koi set because the box is sturdy and well-made. I can replace the paints with better watercolors once I decide which to get. I've tried the Prima Marketing paints and was impressed with the color clarity and how more translucent they are compared to the Koi brand. I suppose this is part of the learning -- knowing what good paints look like on paper and what they can do!

Leuchtende Farben!
