What is the full width?

Depends. I can tell you I have 23 bags stored in mine. Dooney & Burke and Kate Spade. They fit fine. The larger purses stored at the bottom and sides.

I am missing the two hooks for this product.

How do you attach the hooks and metal piece? I'm lost!!

You have to slide the metal piece through the opening of the fabric at the top, where the two holes are located, then attach the hooks to the metal piece.

Does it fit over the door?

no it would not fit over a door - it is designed to hang in a closet so the "hangars" are in the middle of the top.
