Such a lifesaver with a cuddly newborn
UPDATED AFTER A YEAR: Original post: My little guy went through a phase early on where he wanted to only sleep on me and hated the car seat. He seemed a little small for the Ergo baby, which frankly hurt my c section scar. The k'tan was a lifesaver. I could never figure out those baby wraps or slings, and this guy takes all the guess work out of the operation. The Breeze was also nice and cool for our trip down to Florida last spring. For kids that like to be held close, this item is a must. It's cool enough for daily use and super easy. Pro tip: it will stretch out, but I would just throw it into the wash and then the dryer on low setting and it would go right back into place. I must say that I rarely use it now that our baby is five months old. I've effectively switched to the Ergo, as it's better for long-haul hiking and has a sun shade. UPDATED REVIEW: I still love the K'tan. It has been by far the easiest baby wrap I've ever used. Pros: - baby closeness: I think wraps and slings are the best way to keep a newborn close and cuddly, but I could never figure them out. The K'tan takes all of the guesswork out of it. - ease of use: If the Moby makes you break out in a sweat just looking at it, but you still want to wrap your baby, this is the thing for you! If I could do it, so could you. - material: I love how breathable the material is. I could choose between the mesh side on a warmer day, or use the solid cloth on a cooler day. - Color: The gray is very neutral and doesn't show spit-up stains. - Safety: I felt like my son was very secure in this wrap. - Great for naps on the go: My little one as a newborn did not take reliable naps on his own, but would sleep like a champ wrapped up in this on the go (and sometimes even if I sat down) Cons: - one size does not fit all, unfortunately. But that's the tradeoff you have to make for the ease of use of this carrier. - Time of use: I will say that by the time my son was really able to go forward-facing in the Ergo360, we preferred the more structured carrier with ergonomic support. I'm quite small and not the strongest, so additional support felt better as my baby grew. That being said, it was a lifesaver for months!!

Took some time to grow into, but worth it!
Let me just start by saying that I never review anything, but I love this carrier so much I had to share my experience. Even if it doesn't work for you at first, it doesn't hurt to hold onto it because as your baby grows you can use other positions that may work for you better. I read a lot of the reviews here on Amazon on many of the carriers and went with this one because I preferred something that I wouldn't have to wrap around my body 100 times. Also since it's summer now I thought the mesh would be perfect. I was right! The fabric is light so it's not overbearingly hot. (I haven't used it in the heat of summer yet, maybe the hottest temp was 80F.) It's soft and comfortable to wear. And it's very easy to put on, if you go to the website they have some videos that help make it a little more clear. I'm pretty petite, about 5'3" and 125 lbs after having my baby girl. So I went with the XS size. My little girl was born at 6lbs 7 oz, however I started using this when she was about 7.5 lbs. I was a little wary because she was under the 8 lb limit but I had to do something because she wanted to be held all the time. The Baby K'tan was a lifesaver. I could actually get stuff done. Only caveat was that since she was still small sometimes I kept having to adjust the back loop because I felt her head wasn't high enough on my chest, and she would slide down. She couldn't fall out but things just felt a little loose. This was while she was in the Newborn Kangaroo hold. I would sometimes need to use an arm as an extra support as well. But having only one arm free is still better than having none! The fabric would stretch out after a few uses, but I would just throw it in the wash and dryer as others have stated. There was about one week when I actually felt she fit perfectly in the kangaroo hold, and I didn't have to support her much, but she outgrew that and things got a little tight. Fast forward to my daughter at 8 weeks old. Haven't weighed her yet but she must be about 10 lbs. I started putting her in the Hug Position and it is so much better! I feel totally confident in leaving both of my arms free to do things. Like walking to the grocery store and coming home with both bags in both hands. As for the little one, she loves it. She could be screaming while I put her in, but once she is in there snuggled up close to my chest she calms down and usually goes to sleep in 5 minutes. She's taken 2 hour naps in this thing! I can't wait until she gets bigger and I can start trying some of the other positions.

I prefer the Solly wrap
I bought this in an XS (pre-pregnancy size 2, gained 35 lbs during pregnancy) and the Solly Wrap for myself, and the original Baby K’tan for my husband to compare. My husband kept his original K’tan because it works well enough for him, but I returned my Breeze and kept the Solly wrap instead. Here’s why: 1- I found the Solly wrap much easier to use. Despite not needing to wrap the K’tan Breeze, it was harder to get baby in and out than it was with the Solly. 2- Baby feels much more secure in the Solly wrap than the K’tan. The K’tan would either be too tight after I washed it or too stretched out. And no matter how tight it was, baby would jiggle around in the K’tan and I’d have to at least support his head, making it not truly hands-free (which is why I wanted a wrap). 3- the material of the K’tan Breeze did not feel that breezy. We live in a climate with very long, dry, and hot summers, and baby and I would get much hotter and sweatier in the K’tan than we would in the Solly. The material of the Solly wrap is much more breathable. The material of my husband’s original is only doable during the cooler months or in our air conditioned house. 4- the material of the K’tan Breeze is rough and stiff compared to the Solly wrap. The K’tan Breeze material reminds me of an old thick T-shirt. The original K’tan material is softer and stretchier but still not as soft and stretchy as the Solly wrap. 5- If someone else wants to wear the baby to give you a break, you’re limited to friends and family who are the same size as you. The Solly wrap will fit anyone, and is just as easy to learn how to put on as the K’tan. 6- I’ll combine these last few because they aren’t huge deals. The K’tan is a little bulkier and not as easy to stuff in a bag as the Solly wrap. It’s also 2 pieces while the Solly wrap is one. Lastly, I prefer the color options of the Solly wrap over the K’tan. In sum, the K’tan had the potential to be more convenient by not needing to be wrapped, but I didn’t find that to be the case. Hope that helps!

Size not quite right.
I've had success with BK in the past but for some reason this time, I couldn't get the sizing right. I'm not sure if its just this particular style that was different from my first Bk but it seems way looser/larger than previous fits. For the money, I'm sadly disappointed. I want this to work so badly because I have fabric and sensory sensitivities but the struggle with the looseness in places around the shoulders are causing frustration for me. I returned it without the original box because I was sure the size would be correct and threw away the box right away. After I noticed my infant slipping too far down, I realized it was unsafe and likely the wrong fit. Unfortunately its been nearly a month since I returned it with no refund or message from the seller. This was a baby registry gift and the policy says gifts can be returned up to a year but I've only had it in my possession for less than 1 month and only wore it once for a trial fit-no damage.

Hands down, THE best wrap for baby
I don't know how to explain how personally invested I am in making sure every new mom uses or at least tries this wrap. Just like any other wrap, it's intimidating at first and feels like it'll get tangled and confusing, but it is easier than the Moby, Bjorn or any other sling, wrap out there. K'Tan has great YouTube videos showing you the different poses. My one tip that k'tan doesn't give is that when you put it on initially in a pose that has both arms, kind of feed the fabric back so that the loop to tighten it starts low and is easy to reach. I have a black all cotton one as well and live in Houston and had my daughter in October and it was still warm here so it is breathable and cool. I am ordering the Breeze just bc this next baby is being born in the middle of August and any help I can get on cool will be great. I am a big fan of "baby wearing" and my daughter falls asleep and is just generally comforted in this. It's not hard on my shoulders or lower back the way the BJorn is (we have both bc my husband refuses to use the ktan) and I was gifted the Moby and watched the video that came with it and tried and tried and never got a secure fit the way I do with the ktan. If it gets loose after some wears, I throw it in the wash and it tightens back up. Also, with the criss cross design, I can easily hide a diaper and burp rag in the folds and a bottle sits comfortable on the shoulder fold so for quick runs in a store, I am a no diaper bag mom but still prepped for an accident. And best thing - I can easily go to the restroom and be hands free all with baby in the ktan. I have bought so many of these for baby showers and gifts. Amazon definitely has a better price than the actual ktan website. Sometimes they run deals, but it never beats the price amazon has. Definitely worth every penny.

Great product, just buy it!
I’m a smaller woman and the baby carrier we had didn’t fit me, even on its smallest setting. After some research, I determined that wrapping would likely be my best option, but I was a bit daunted by the technique. That’s when I saw the K’Tan. The videos made it seem very easy to use and I so I ordered it. I’m happy to say it is a fantastic product and is as easy to use as the videos suggested! It’s extremely well made, my baby fits very snuggly and he loves it. Right now he’s having some pretty bad trapped gas issues that are causing some major (and long lasting) crying fits and nothing is really helping, as a final throw of the dice I wrapped him up in the hug position and he settled immediately and went to sleep. I’d suggest using the official calculator on their website to determine your size. It recommended XS for me and I was dubious about going that low, but it’s perfect. The baby is secure and I don’t feel like he’ll slip out or shift unexpectedly. The wrap itself is fairly comfortable but there’s not much in the way of back support, so I do find myself having to sit occasionally to take the weight off. Overall though, this is a great product!

A++ carrier wrap
I absolutely love this carrier. Its the 8th one we tried because she hated 1-7 and this one is the winner. Its very easy to put one, breathable so she doesnt over heat, and comfortable for the both of us. My little is 3 months old and 18 lbs and fits in it perfectly. I literally wore her outside for a few hours the other day climbing a lighthouse while she slept and we were both comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Used rough, dog carrier
This is my second K’tan. I ordered a baby active with my first several years ago and loved it! With this one not so much. First inspection the carrier was almost just shoved in a bag, after opening it more loads of dog hair started coming out like someone used it to carry their dog the material felt rigid, stiff & rough. No instructions like my first one had so I had to look it up. I had to wash this thing several times & look up ways to soften & its still rough plus NO STRECH! This was a lot of work for something I thought I was getting new. I would have bought used for a 1/3 the price from somewhere else if I knew this was going to be the case! It was a lot of work & still after several washes it’s not as soft as you’d expect but at least the dog hair is gone. But it doesn’t fit because there is no stretch or I got the wrong size a (small) even though I’m a size 2/4! Long story I would have bought a cute print, one that stretched or one my husband and I could have both used rather then this. Now I have no carrier to use and will have to return so disappointed.

Suavecito y hermoso

Good for a young baby
My baby preferred this when she was a newborn because it was like she was being hugged. Now she doesn’t like it as much (she’s 4 months) because she is a bit squished. I don’t love the look of the perforated fabric, I recommend not getting the “breeze” version. It’s sort of tacky looking.

Perfect for those first few months
One of my best baby gear purchases. I got a lot of use out of this. It gave me some much needed hands-free time to get stuff done around the house and my baby loved being carried around in it. My baby is on the larger size so we moved to a more structured carrier (the Beco Gemini) at around 3 months when he was about 16 lbs. I'm petite (5 feet tall, ~100 lbs and a ~27 inch waist at 3 months postpartum) and the XS worked well. I can't comment on whether the mesh "Breeze" fabric is cooler than the original as I only purchased this one, but I did find it got hot/sweaty at times... for the most part, though, it was fairly cool and comfortable. The K'tan held up well to multiple washing/drying cycles. Also, once you get a hang of how to put it on, it is quite easy to use.

Mom, Dad & Baby Love
I received a K'tan wrap for my shower, and fell in love with it during the first few weeks of my daughter's birth. She loved it, and I enjoyed being able to carry her around. However, I started getting really bad back pain. After doing some research and talking with some moms, I discovered I was wearing a size too big (medium, versus small). The website had me marked as a medium, but in the fine print below due to my height (5'2") I should have been wearing a size down. My friend has a small and it fits me great. Our daughter loved being in mine so much, my husband purchased one to be able to carry our daughter around and calm her down. The breeze fabric is lightweight and airy, and my husband loves it.
