Michelangelo`s statue of King David is one of the most famous sculptures in the world. Created between 1501 and 1504, the original now resides in Galeria dell`Academia in Florence, Italy. This statue stands 12 inches tall, is 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Made of cold cast resin, it has the look of marble, and shows incredible detail. The sculpting details are remarkable and indeed museum quality: the tension in his hands that hold a stone and sling, the contracted muscles, the clavicle, the curls of his hair, the defined abdominal area, and that stoic gaze. It arrived in a beautiful blue box labeled “Studio Collection Veronese Design”. If they could make one, let’s say 5 feet, I would definitely buy that too :-)

The human form is indeed a beautiful thing
Excellent quality- feels like alabaster. I particularly love the look of a frosted alabaster, always have. It’s got a solid fit and finish appearance. I ordered a few more busts, and I would be ecstatic if they were all made in similar fashion and material. Rather then just a hollowed out piece of clay.

My dads original statue was stolen from his house
This is the exact replica he was looking for. Since we will never be able to travel back to Italy, we were very sad that workers stole his miniature statue of David from his home during renovation of his roof and home so this came across and I knew I had to get it. The material is extremely heavy. It’s extremely detailed and worth every penny if you’re looking for a miniature statue of David and you can’t go to Italy and get, a replica or see the real thing this is for you
