Good POE experience
After testing a few hats found this to be the absolute best for running pi 5s off POE. Slowly converting my current set up from Pimoroni NVME bases to this configuration for my 10โ rack. Works without issue when I have four plugged into a TPlink tp-sg105mpe; but will be moving to a ubiquity flex 2.5 soon to cut clutter (I need 8 ports to run all the piโs when complete). I wish there was an option to get them without the POE hat because I already had them for all my current nodes, but all in all itโs priced well. They also give you two connector ribbons in case you screw one up, which is nice.

Minty
The only issue I have is that it doesn't fit my rack "case" when installed. Upon further searching I found that a shorter version that doesn't extend over the USB and Ethernet ports of my pi 5 to be available from the same manufacturer. So far I have this; longer unit, working just fine with poe and a USB HDD...waiting on my m.2 pcie SSD to arrive so can't speak to that just yet. The build quality looks great and included everything I needed to get it install including a spare flexi ribbon/cable, a tiny Philips screwdriver and an official RPi5 cooler; heatsink w/pwm fan.

Using for my All Sky Camera so I just have to run an outdoor Ethernet cable
So far, so good. I've got some issues with the software, but this board is running fine with my Pi 5 in an outdoor sealed electrical box at the end of 200 ft of outdoor Ethernet cable. I haven't monitored the daytime temperatures of the Pi inside the box in the sun, so all I can say is that it's still running after 2 weeks outside. I know the power converter and the Pi generate heat, so that will likely limit the system's longevity in my application. I considered mounting a waterproof 5V power converter outside the box for heat reasons, but that got too problematic when trying to use a standard POE+ power injector on the house side.

Best hat/shield for Pi 5
Best shield, my second one has some nice improvements too. Instead of one large cap, there are now a row of surface mount capacitors, probably for better power filtering. These are completely awesome for a Raspberry Pi 5. The cooler is official hardware and the hat is awesome. Fast NVME to boot and operate, check. POE to power the Pi, check. Stays cool and runs super fast thanks to the cooler, check. Anytime I buy a Pi 5, I'm buying one of these to go with it.

Works as advertised, Configure your firmware!
If you need to connect an SSD to your Pi, this definitely works. Make sure you follow the instructions to configure your Pi's firmware though, otherwise you won't get proper speeds. It meets the advertised speeds, isn't terribly difficult to install if you know how to handle electronics, and feels good quality. I haven't had any issues, so I'd say this is worth it.

Sweet little doodad
Works perfectly. Happy customer here. I hit a snag setting up but once I checked things out I realized that the ribbon wasn't properly seated AND I didnt seat the ssd completely AND finally I didnt seat the PoE header all the way. After that hiccup everything was great. IF you have issues during setup/config check your connections.

Just what I wanted, combining PCI-E and POE for the Pi 5
This combines a 2280 M.2 and POE for the Pi 5. What would make it perfect would be a full 5A of output as opposed to 4.5A. It will show the lightning bolt as it's not 5A for awareness, and likely limit downstream current. But, I had no issues running the NVME HAT along with POE, and it worked just fine with a USB hub for my 2 port keyboard (lighted) and mouse, and HDMI so the current was sufficient. The listing was accurate, though. It would also be nice if were not as tall, much like the official Pi 4 POE adapter with the planar component and solid capacitors. This came with 2 M.2 screws as well as another anchor for smaller drives. The 2280 hole is fixed. It seemed to support PCI-E 3.0 just fine as the drive speed was around 900MB/s. There is a version for up to 2245 that is shorter, but it lacks the 2280 compatability and the pins for 3.3, 5, and 12V. I also like that the GPIO extenders were long enough to still use the GPIO; the official HAT is not. Maybe one day the official adapter will come out and still be compatbile with HATs and the official cooler, though I doubt it will work with all of them and also put out 5A given how small it will be.

Funciona a la primera. Solo tienes que tener cuidado con el Flex del pci, habilitar pcie gen 3 si tรบ Nvme es 3.0 y listo.

Perfect fit and integration. This hat quickly expands the boot drive to a larger, faster, and more reliable NVMe SSD. The system boots much quicker than from an SD card. The PoE+ allows for reboots over LAN and greatly simplifies the cabling. I would happily buy this again for other units.

Funciona bien con un nvme verbatim 4 tb, aunque en la pi marca un msj de bajo voltaje

This lets me use PoE to power my raspberry Pi 5. I use Ubiquiti PoE switches and this is working great. It also was nice to let me switch from the rpiโs SD card to a spare NVMe drive I had lying around. I plugged the SD and NVMe into my Mac and cloned with the dd command in the terminal. Put the NVMe in the rpi and a quick config change to tell it to boot from the NVMe and itโs running like nothing ever changed. Only faster.
