So far, so good...
"Awafulll"? What a wonderful helpful review that is - tells you so much you need to know! As this is a new purchase I can't comment on the longevity & reliability of the machine; it's literally just started on its 4th load. Perhaps the beauty salon just got unlucky (though Beko's customer service sounds woeful, it must be said). Anyway, this replaces an 11 year old Hotpoint and so far, so good. I have read reviews of this elsewhere that have complained it is noisy - it isn't. My old machine wasn't especially noisy & this is quieter. If you're finding it noisy, I suggest you check the feet & make sure you have the thing properly levelled. It has the usual range of different wash programmes, most of which (if you're like me) you will never use, but they are entirely flexible. Each has a default wash temp & spin speed which you can alter more or less as you please (personally, I almost always wash at 30C). The two pgms I have used so far are the short daily and the cotton eco (at 60C - I had some stuff in there that had got rather greasy - & at 30C). The short daily is for <2kg loads - done in 30 mins, excellent. The cotton eco is the longest wash cycle, but it's also the most power / water efficient. The machine is intelligent & adjusts itself to the load. So if you put more than 2kg in on the short pgm, alas, it will run for a lot longer! Equally though, it will adjust downwards. The moment you take the temp down from 60 to 40 on the cotton eco, the timer drops from 3:45 to 2:54 and, since there's only half a load in there, I expect it to shorten still further. I daresay all of this is no different from any other modern washing machine. After checking a few online reviews, this came out top or well in the budget section so I bought it. Wash quality is fine (greasy stuff now non-greasy!); the customer service from AO.com was excellent (wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again - they even delivered on a Sunday!). If it breaks down in 2.5 months, I'll be back to tell you, but otherwise... So far, so good!

BEWARE! Stopped working after 2. 5 months. ...
BEWARE! Stopped working after 2.5 months. As the washer was in a beauty salon Beko refused to send an engineers to repair, even though we would have paid for it.
