I needed this set for a class, and it did its job. The only issue is that the blades for the scalpel do not seem to clip on all the way. There were multiple people in my class that had this set, and they all had the same issue. It was very sturdy even without fully clipping it on, but it was driving us a little crazy at first.

Good for amateurs. I used this kit for my second time dissecting, first time was improvised with a box cutter. I saw a few reviews talking about how the scalpel tips don't click when you put them on but they stay on. Mine clicked on very faintly after some wiggling around. Unfortunately I accidentally left some blood on it and had to toss the tip. While dissecting make sure to keep a little tray with filtered water to put the tools in while not in use. It'll help to remove the blood while in use. Afterwards wash them with warm filtered water and soap, then disinfect with alcohol. Make sure they're completely dry before putting away.

Decent quality, plenty of replacement blades. I'm using the kit for invertebrate taxidermy which involves some delicate work - the fine tipped instruments work well and seem sturdy enough to resist misalignments.

The case isn't as nice as I'd hoped. The bands that hold the tools are too loose so they slide out of place easily. Otherwise a nice set for the price.
