I’ve been using the Sunster 8KW Portable Diesel Heater for over a year now, and it’s been absolutely spot on. Still works mint – starts up reliably every time and throws out a serious amount of heat. Perfect for the garage, workshop, or even outdoor setups in colder months. Fuel-efficient, easy to set up, and the remote control makes it super convenient. I’ve had no issues at all — just clean it now and then and it keeps running like a champ. If you’re after a solid, reliable diesel heater that does what it says on the tin, this one’s well worth it.

I bought this to heat my garage as it’s now a cinema room. The heater is outside. It’s certainly done the trick. Nice and warm in there now. Easy to put together and the app worked first time. It’s so quiet . For the price it’s more than worth the money.

This is a well-packaged unit complete with all fittings required. It works well and generates a fair amount of heat. The included remote also has a fair range and works through walls. The included 230v to 12v adapter comes with a moulded unfused plug (This is not legal in the UK as per BS1363) so it needs to be removed and a plug with a 3amp fuse fitted. The Android software is not installed through the Play Store but from a Chinese website and does not support the current Android security around data collection. Hence, you have to allow the app to run anyway and then agree to terms only displayed in Chinese. The app seems to work reasonably well but is more of a gimmick.

Supplied intructions a waste of time but there are several user videos on YouTube. Saying that there's not a lot to do except connect a couple of pipes and fit the the legs. Obviously the exhaust pipe has to vent outside with the supplied silencer. Without the silencer it's no noisier than your central heating outlet. Pleased with the heat outlet temperature especially set to its highest and I think it may just about cope with my uninsulated double garage but early days yet.

Having watched various videos on diesel heaters over the last 4-5 months claiming how cheap they are to run compared to electric heaters I decided to take the plunge and order one to replace the white 3kW electric blow heater I've been using to heat the garage. The ultimate aim was to lower the cost of heating my single garage (ceiling is plaster boarded with no insulation) and I'm not sure how to feel about the heat this unit kicks out. I watched one YouTube video where the person said a diesel heater is like leaving a hair dryer on in the garage for an hour, and I now see what they were talking about. The unit itself is perfectly fine, build quality is good, it was packaged well and worked without issue on fresh diesel from Morrison's. On maximum power it's using 1/2 litre per hour which works out at around 71p per hour of use, and less when running in lower power modes. My current electric rate is 26.35p per kWh, which means my electric heater has been costing 79p per hour of use, so not a lot of difference in terms of running cost. There is a difference in heat output though, when running one after the other from the same height and distance, the electric heater puts out substantially hotter air than the diesel heater which I was not expecting, to the point where I'm wondering if my diesel heater is faulty, air temperature leaving the diesel heater is around 80c on full power according to my infrared thermometer. Then there's the cost to buy to factor in, the electric heater cost £20 and the diesel heater was £112.24, which means for the price of the diesel heater you can buy a 3kW electric heater and use it for 116 hours before it breaks even. If we assume the diesel heater will last 3 years and a fixed diesel and electricity rate. - The cost to buy the diesel heater and enough fuel for 116 hours of use is £194.60. - The cost to buy a 3kW electric blow heater and run it for 116 hours is £112.24. Bottom line, I like the diesel heater, it's a cool little toy, but from a heating point of view, I just don't think they're worth it over a cheap electric heater, that is unless you can get diesel that's dirt cheap.

I invested in this night heater for my house, I had it running for 2 winters without missing a beat and it has now finally died, it only need a new ignition but because of the price I have just ordered a new 1 this product has not let me down.

I found this Sunster Diesel Heating, as a good warming advantage this winter for my caravan needs. l would say heating works not so loud to keep in my boiler room and heat my bedroom. No smell thats great. l bought from other sourse adapter 12 voltage instead keep it running on 220 volts. Well done Amazon. Thank you.
