Krups Arabica Manual EA811K40 Automatic Espresso Bean to Cup Coffee Machine, Carbon

As with most espresso machines a fair amount of setting up and reading the manual is required, but after the installation cycle really easy to use. I decided to use the filters in the water reservoir (need replacing after a couple of months or after so many cups) these do extend the life of the machine for quite a few years especially where I live where the water is really hard! A couple of settings on the machine for strength of coffee that you can program into it via the digital part of the machine but designed to be set once really, but then still get them choice of double strength or single via the start buttons. Easy to set up two cups on the tray and a quick double press of the start button runs the cycle twice to make things easier. The reserves are quite big as well so you get a fair amount of coffee before having to refil the beans or water.

Always buy Krups. A wonderful appliance offering great coffee with two buttons. Variable strengths and cup sizes. The frother nozzle is a downside, easily detached. But you get used to it. A plus when it needs detaching for cleaning. Definitely A rating from us big coffee lovers.

We sent it straight back, looked cheap, steam nozzle very flimsy and came straight off on the first run through that you have to do, and it scolded hand, was no way enough space for 2 cups to be used at once. completely disappointing for the price. I would have valued it more in the £100. range type of machine. Did not even use it for coffee due to above problems,

It's a lovely machine. That unmistakable smell of coffee beans in the top chamber.... Having owned Krups before, the brand is always reliable for making excellent coffee. Once you understand how it works and refine the concentration of coffee, theres no stopping you. Ease of use is a must. And it delivers perfect coffee each time!! The only downside is the hot milk arm which is a little tight, inflexible and comes off. Practice after a few days and it's ok. Overall, its brilliant.

Had one of these for 2 years. It still functions as good as the day we got it. Why am I browsing here at new ones? Well I'm a bit fed up of all the diva demands it makes. We only drink black coffee - we go for the long coffee option that grinds twice. Problem is you only get about 3 cups and then it halts mid flow and wants the ground coffee emptying, the coffee drawer cleaned and the drip tray emptied. Then you try again and it's out of water. Then it tells you constantly that it wants cleaning and you are given a countdown to when you have to clean it or your warranty will be invalid. Honestly the thing never shuts up wanting stuff. We just want a coffee. Simples. It would be just great if it had bigger tanks and wasn't quite so fussy over all the maintenance. It really is annoying. I push the button for my coffee and it takes a while to warm up so I pop to the loo thinking it will be done when I get back and then when I come back it hasn't even started because its waiting for some attention. If you only drink single expresso you might like it. Otherwise get something with bigger capacity.
