I really liked this mouse at first and would have given it 5 stars: - The large size suited my large sized hand allowing me to palm the mouse - The buttons have good actuation - Feels premium - I appreciate the three ways it can be connected: wired directly, via a dongle, or using the base station receiver with charging dock But after 6 or so months: - The mouse shows it is charging on the base station but when used shows only one light for the amount charged and starts flashing within an hour, indicating the internal battery is failing. I can now use it wired only. - In practice I realise how much I move smaller sized mice using my fingers while my wrist stays planted on the mouse mat. With this larger sized mouse I have to move my whole hand and ended up with a sore wrist from sudden or odd movements. To avoid this I need to conciously remember to move my whole arm instead of just my wrist which feels unatural. - I wanted to like this mouse but could not reccomend it due to the above reasons.

I should open by saying I'm a Zowie fan. This purchase is replacing a very similar wired Zowie EC1-A (that lasted SEVEN YEARS) and the FK2 I'm using in the interrim. I love the EC1-A shape and this is more or less identical barring 20g less weight on the EC1-CW. The mouse is a dream to use, no issues at all so far. I was skeptical about the change of mouse wheel from 18 sections to 24, but it still feels fantastic. Backup dongle and USB/USB-C adapter in box alongside charging station/wireless receiver hybrid. Any issue I can find with this mouse is minor at very worst. Good: General use is absolutely flawless Love the clean black aesthetic Shape/weight is good for me. I tend to enjoy heavier mice and it'll take a bit of time to get used to the relative lightness of this mouse Can't make the sensor spin out like I could very rare with the EC1-A Mixed/bad: Coating is a soft touch slightly tacky feeling plastic and may not be for everyone Shape/weight is bigger/heavier than is popular currently Ergo/right handed shape is a deal breaker for some I may smash it against my keyboard/monitor stand or accidentally send it flying now there's no cable to tether it to my desk, which also means my mouse bungee is now useless. Lack of customisation options/RGB may be an issue for some
