Oustanding, useful, long-lasting
I discovered clips for plastics bags when I lived in Stockholm for several months during 1987. About ten years ago, I found this Swedish brand -- Twixit -- here in the U.S. and bought a couple of packages. I've been using them ever since for any number of things and I'd hate to do without them. They make a tight seal -- the small clips are great for bags you twist and clip, such as bread bags or the ones fresh carrots come in. The largest ones work nicely on the plastic bags inside cereal boxes. One of my favorite things is buying those inexpensive plastic bags that don't have any kind of built-in closures (1 gallon capacity) and come with those annoying twist-ties with the wire up the middle of the plastic strip. With these clips, those cheap plastic bags are way more versatile than the expensive ones with a "zip" closure. The largest ones will even close a papery bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies tightly -- and nothing else I know of will do that well. They not only seal tightly, but they last for a very long time. All my original clips still work, but I have enough of them in use now that I needed to buy some more and the place I got them from before no longer sells them. I also needed more of the smallest size because I use more of them than the medium and large clips. So finding them here was a godsend.Leave to the Swedes to come up with something as practical and as excellent as these clips!

Glad I found these again!
When I was a kid in living in Germany 35+years ago my mom got a set of these from a German kitchen store. They were so useful we couldn't do without them. She still has the same set today (minus a couple lost ones), they last so long. Now I have a house of my own, but when I left home my mom would not let any of her Twixits leave her house! I was overjoyed to find a set for our kitchen available here on Amazon! These are amazingly useful, all the different sizes let us clip various sizes of bags closed, from giant family-sized bags of chips to loaves of bread. No more twist-ties to lose of fumble with! And the design assures the seal is air tight, unlike the cheap spring-loaded "chip-clips" on the market today. We even use them on bags of vegetables and other things in the deep freezer, the cold doesn't seem to affect them. Let me see you do that with an ordinary chip-clip!

Good choice and worth the expense
We use them a lot!Cupboards and storage drawers and cabinetry are staying cleaner because crumbs and food bits aren't falling out of packaging.Cookies, bags of frozen fruit and veggies, loaves of baked goods stay fresher and inside the bag instead of spilling out.I'm still finding ways to use them and keep things cleaner and more organized. Had a small fern in need of humidity so put a plastic bag over it and used a clip to close it up. More effective and attractive than the rubber band method.

WONDERFUL but my wife gives them away.
First let me say these are by far the best bag sealers I have ever used. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, my wife's girlfriends think they are the best also. So whenever one of her friends come over and admires them, " being the kind person she is " she gives them 2 or 3. I caught her once and asked why she was doing that, her answer was " we have so many we won't miss them ". Not realizing this was an on going thing with her, I eventually had to resort to wire twist ties again since it was difficult finding any Twixit Clips anymore. It was time to order some more. This is my 2nd order of Twixit Clips, since most of my first order seemed to have disappeared. My first order was the 20 pack of Twix Clips which should have been sufficient. The nice part of that 20 pack was there are 4 different size clips in there, 5 of each size. As opposed to this 27 pack which only has 3 different sizes. Check out my review and photo on the 20 pack, also my photo on this 27 pack.In the interim I purchased some Clip-N-Seal Bag Clips, these seal exceptionally well also. The problem is trying to get them on and off. If the package is the least bit thick it is very difficult to get them to snap closed, and also hard to open again. I don't have that problem with Twixit Clips unless the bag is exceptionally thick or folded over to often. If you are deciding between the Twix Clips and the Clip-N-Seal, my opinion is the Twixit Clip is by far the better of the two.

Best bag clips
I bought some of these from Pampered Chef years ago, they didn't break or wear out, but eventually got lost. These are the exact same clips that are sold by Pampered Chef. These bag sealers work better than any others I have used.Let's see if I can describe them so it makes sense. They are molded from one piece of plastic, so there's not much to break. When you open the clip it has a "groove" down the center of one half of the clip, with two raised "bars" on each side of the groove. The other half of the clip has a center "bar" that fits in the groove. The bag actually goes in the groove and is held tightly between the bars. When the clip is closed it keeps the bag air and water tight, and the clip will not come off on its own.All that to say that these clips keep food fresher than other clips. One poster complained that only the large size are big enough to do any good. I have not had that problem. The small ones work fine for bread and similar bags. The medium ones will work for chip bags, frozen vegetable bags, and the inner bags of crackers and cereal. Just fold the top of the bag lengthwise, taking the two sides and folding towards the middle (instead of rolling the bag down), and clip.

Twixit
I love these. Use for bags in fridge and freezer. First introduced to these probably 25 or 30 yrs ago. Very occasionally 1 might break or one might find its way unfortunately into the garbage can so you lose a few along the way. Still have some of the first ones and wanted at least 4 or 5 for the van. Great functional product. Thank you.
