I reinstalled the grain in beams with lighter shade over darker. Not necessarily intuitive but it works.

Better than hoped!
Really great and easy to use. Cleaning isnโt too bad if you donโt let the paint dry. Created a really nice wood grain effect. The key for me was to lay down a base coat (I used brown), let that dry, then use the wood graining tool on the wet top coat (I used gray). Cool weathered effect

Such a cool tool. Easy to use once you get the wrist whip down! Cheap enough to get that wood look on a service that cannot be wood! Cleans up easily! My mother was pleased with her table I did for her!
