I’m allergic to hair colours,ppd in particular and sacred herbs claim to be without ppd.I applied this colour on Sunday and today is Thursday.My scalp is red and full of rashes,my face and areas behind ear are paining and face is swollen to double its size.My eyes are swollen to the extent they look shut.I’ve never experienced this kind of severe allergy that I had to visit a doctor .This is full of chemicals so don’t be fooled by the company that it’s fully herbal,it’s not.Please don’t use it if u are allergic too as it’s chemical content is quite high.

I tried this hair colour that claims to be ammonia and ppd free and the results were amazing..The application is smooth, fragrance is nice, colour pay-off is good. My hair felt soft after washing.. I chose the dark brown colour and it just looks the perfect shade of brown for my hair, Kind of my hair but better. A great option if you’re looking for gentle hair colour.Note- Always do a patch test before applying it on the scalp.

I was looking for something close to natural and came across Sacred Herbs hair colour.On checking the ingredients, I noticed it contains Toluene-2,5-Diamine Sulfate (a PTD-related compound, so not completely free from PTD-type chemistry), along with p-Aminophenol, m-Aminophenol, and 2,4-Diaminophenoxyethanol Hydrochloride. These are commonly used in “PPD-free” dyes but can still trigger similar allergies in sensitive individuals. It uses Triethanolamine as an ammonia alternative to help the color penetrate the hair.Personally, I didn’t experience any allergic reactions, which was a relief. I’m quite happy with the results, I’ve tried both the burgundy and dark brown shades (pics attached), and the color lasts about 3 weeks. I wash my hair on alternate days after oiling, so with that frequency, I think the staying power is pretty decent.I mostly have grey hair in the front section, so I do touch-ups rather than full application. One pack lasts me around 4 uses, which makes it quite economical as well.
