What is different from the Kimura Solo?

The Kimura Solo has a single dynamic driver (the speaker in the IEM). The Duo has the same dynamic driver and an additional balanced armature (a different type of speaker; think of it like a tweeter in a speaker setup in this case). The BA provides some treble that we felt the Solo version lacks. If I had to generalize: Solo is more fun and cinematic as a result; best for movies or single player games, the Duo is slightly more technical and better for multiplayer games and people who prefer more treble in their music.

Is there Volume control ?

There is no in-line volume control or mic mute in the current gen Kimura products. Let us know if that's something you'd want in the future (and what you'd use it for)!
