THE #2 SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER โA gripping story of human frailty, love, loss, sadness, and tragedyโ Daily Mail She is the most public and least understood woman in Britain. Diana called her a Rottweiler. Prince Harry said she was a villain. But spend two minutes with Camilla and you understand why Charles fell for her. The relationship between King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, is one of the most extraordinary, star-crossed love stories of the past fifty years. It has endured against all the odds, and in the process nearly destroyed the British monarchy. In this compelling biography, Britainโs top royal author paints an intimate portrait of the Queen Consort, revealing for the first time why the King went against his mother and risked everything to have Camilla by his side. I thought I would find a remarkable woman in this story but I didn't find her
Unfortunately it wasn't about Camilla, it was more about Charles and Diana. It really put me off the royal family and all the lord this and lady that who were members of the elite club of upper class close to the royals. I thought I would find a remarkable women in this story but I didn't find her.

Interesting
Really an interesting boom about the real profile of Camilla. I did not have a very good image about her and meanwhile I am reading the book, my impression is changing.

No regrets buying this book
Not had time to read yet but I have had a good flick through reading the odd paragraph here and there. A good number of descriptive photos. I got it because I was just curious about the woman I used to - like so many - hate back in the "Day" but, increasingly find it hard to (tbh, I don't really "do" hate so I guess it was more a case of staunch disapproval) but even the flick through has earned my respect. Other people may retain a different view, of course, and that is their prerogative but they would most likely give the book a wide berth. However, I, for one, am looking forward to a full and proper read.PS when offered, I almost always select the "used" option. This one was in particularly good condition. Maybe its previous owner chose not read it...
