These Katerk hex shank pieces work exactly as expected. The 1/4-inch hex fits securely in my drill and impact driver with no wobble, and they feel sturdy and well-made. I’ve used them on multiple projects and they’ve held up well without stripping or bending. The set is convenient to have on hand, especially for quick bit changes. I use these daily to be sure I have my favorite bits on hand, clipped to my belt loop. I love how easy it is to use. The one thing I’d change is to have to pull down to release the bit, just like on the impact driver, instead of pulling up. It seems like a small thing, but the mental process of remembering fifty times a day to pull up on here instead of down by muscle memory is sort of annoying. But they’re cheap, sturdy, and do their job great, so I’m not complaining.

The best part about these bit holders is the "push-to-unlock" insertion. Most budget bit holders require you to pull the collar back just to get a bit in, which usually takes two hands. With these, you can just shove the bit into the socket and it clicks into place automatically. It saves a lot of fumbling when you’re on a ladder or already holding a drill. The Carabiner The included carabiner is functional, but it’s the weakest link in the set. The locking sleeve feels a little rough and "gritty" when you’re threading it shut. It hasn't cross-threaded yet, but it’s definitely not a smooth, precision movement. If you plan on taking this on and off your belt loop constantly, you might eventually want to swap the carabiner for a higher-quality one, but for a stationary spot on a tool bag, it does the job. Retention & Build Security: Once the bits are clicked in, they stay put. I haven't had any fall out while walking or moving the bag around. Release: Pulling the collar to release the bit is smooth and has a positive "pop" to it. Finish: The different colors are actually helpful for organizing (e.g., Red for Torx, Blue for Phillips) so you aren't squinting at bits in low light. Bottom Line: For the price, the quick-insert feature makes these worth it alone. Just be prepared for a slightly "crunchy" locking mechanism on the main clip.

Very handy. Quit losing bits and easy to find. Mechanism backwards but easy to use and works.

They stick a little, not quite as smooth working as I would like, but they work and have been quite helpful in allowing me carry multiple bits, to find the right bit quickly, while standing on a ladder and prevent frequent trips up and down to my tool bag. I've bet at least 4 sets, so...for the price, I've found them a good investment.

nice way to not lose bits -

Bought these to keep a set of bit holders together. They work - they hold onto the bits and keep them together. Where I was less satisfied: The build feels thin and a bit sloppy. The action is not smooth on the sliding sleeve. It wants to get stuck easily; not stuck bad, but I have to mess with it about half the time to get a bit in or out. I have one on my tool apron that I use often throughout the day and it gets annoying. These are fine for the tool box though.

I carry a lot of bits and adapter/sockets off of this thing and I’ve never lost one. Once they’re locked in they’ll stay in until you want to swap one out. Very convenient. Don’t normally write reviews but I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s pretty reliable for the price
