One year is all it takes for strangers to become lovers... Nineteen-year-old Farrah Lin is going to fall in love for the first time during her year abroad in Shanghai. She's sure of it. The only problem? Her would-be leading man is her new friend's boyfriend. There's nothing worse than being in love with someone you can't have...or at least, she thinks it's love. But if that's true, why can't she stop fantasizing about someone else, specifically the cocky blond athlete with the world's biggest ego (and greatest dimples)? *** Blake Ryan isโwasโa college football star who shocked the sports world when he quit after his third national championship. Instead of dealing with the fallout, he escapes to Shanghai, where he vows to keep life simple. No football. No commitments. No romance. But no matter how hard he tries, he can't keep a certain beautiful brunette off his mind...or out of his heart. What starts as a physical attraction develops into something much deeper as Blake and Farrah get swept up in the magic of Shanghaiโand each other. But they only have one year, and there are forces outside their control that threaten to rip them apart. Can their relationship survive the test...or was it just not meant to be? Review: Wonderful love story you won't be able to put down. - First published book in the Huang universe and it's wonderful. Well written and fast paced. Wonderful collision of cultures and feelings. Based on some real life experiences Huang brings us to Shanghai and we feel the city, the grit, the grime and the fabulous food. But mostly we feel the first love of Farrah and Blake. Both growing up and learning to be adults and how to navigate the world beyond college. It is touching, full of love, hate and misunderstanding. It does not end happily. But it is only Part one of the story. Can't wait to read the second part! Great to see the outstanding author Huang at the beginning of her writing career. Review: Fell in love with another Ana Huang book - Loved this book! I atmospheric details drew me in, the heartache in this book was real. I hated Blake at the end and I cried over Farrah. The heartache of what Blake did to her made me almost want to DNF it, but knowing Ana's writing I stuck with it and thank God I did! This book is part of a duet in this series so I will be reading the second book soon!

Insta-love and frustrating ending but perfect set up for the second book
The setting is in Shanghai, China. The way the author describes the setting is very easy to follow and not hard to picture. The couple is very insta-love if you donโt like that and I feel like you donโt really get insight into the couple as individuals before they end up together. The couple also has issues with communication which causes way more problems than there would be and they are in their early 20s so they both make questionable decisions especially the male which can be frustrating for the reader if you want them to act more mature. The set up for the second book however is intriguing and I am looking forward to reading and reviewing the next one I do feel as if it would be better than this one. I will not say what all of the tropes are in this book because it might give something away eventually. I liked the couple I just hoped for more character development and growth during the first book.

Must read
I am obsessed. The characters, story, freedom, self-discovery, friendships, bonds, adventures, just everything. The arch of Farrah and Blakeโs relationship was timeless and portrayed beautifully. It didnโt feel rushed or unrealistic but poetic and natural. The dynamic of being away from home and meeting new people, who end up becoming a family is special and is something to be treasured. The fear, loss, self doubt, mistakes, and worries throughout the group was reassuring that not everyone has their future figured out. I was completely transfixed and enraptured by these characters and I didnโt want it to end. โAll their moments together flashed through his mind, and the boy whoโd once sworn he would never cry over a girlโฆ cried. He cried because heโd hurt her. He cried because it kept his mind off the desperate loneliness that weighed on his soul the moment she left. Most of all, he cried for what they had, what they lost, and what they could never be.โ โGiven the drought in Farrahโs dating life, sheโd settle for any kind of romantic relationship, even one that ended tragically. Well, maybe not with death, but with a breakup or something. Anything that proved the crazy head-over-heels love you found in books and movies existed in real life.โ โFarrahโs heart rate kicked up a notch. He was the opposite of her ideal romantic heroโtall, dark, and handsome, with a side of sensitive, cultured, and well-readโbut there was no denying Blakeโs s3x appeal. It dripped from him like honey from a hive. โSo we didnโt need to introduce ourselves.โ โNo.โ He stepped closer without releasing her hand. โBut I wanted an excuse to touch you.โ โHe wasnโt fluent in Chinese yet, but he was fluent in the language that counts: food.โ โYouโre having a secret affair with Blake Ryan!โ โI am not!โ Farrah wrenched her arm away and shook it out. โJesus, you cut off my circulation.โ โDonโt change the subject. You spent an entire day with Blake and didnโt tell us about it. Why?โ Olivia wiggled her eyebrows. โWhat naughty things did you get up to?โ โNone. You read too many erotica novels.โ โI thinkโโ Blakeโs voice turned rough. โYouโre a smartass whoโs too stubborn for your own good. I think you drive me crazier than any person ought to. And I think I might die if I canโt be with you.โ

Love Abroad
I absolutely love the banter between the main characters Farrah and Blake. They're both studying abroad and currently in Shanghai for college. They both have mutual friends so they're prone to hanging out together, which starts making them get close and become actual friends themselves which leads to them being in a relationship. But with any good love story, it always comes with some drama and the drama definitely develops with this. It wasn't something I was expecting, but when it does happen it made me so mad, and I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. This book does in a cliffhanger, so you'll have to read the next one to get the rest of the story with the main characters, but it's definitely worth reading this. I immediately had to get the next book to get those answers.

Their love had me sobbing!
This book had me sobbing. It was so full of emotion. Farrah gave Blake everything... and he shattered her. They meet at college and have mutual friends. They end up spending time together and realize that they can't live without each other. This story was SO fun, sweet, spicy, and left my heart in tears. I will be starting book #2 tonight because I can't wait to see what happens with them. I will be a forever fan of Ana Huang... her writing is amazingly beautiful.

I need more of Farrah and Blake
If We Ever Meet Again is the first book I've ever read from this author, and she did not disappoint. This book is filled with great characters, although there were a few characters that I disliked. This story has friendships, back and forth bater, angst, romance, love, jealousy, doubt and regret. However, the thing I enjoyed the most about the romance in this story was that the romance between Farrah and Blake had a slow burn feel to it. I enjoyed Farrah and Blake characters, and I enjoyed how the author gave their relationship time to develop and grow making their romance believable. The author wrote the story in a way that sucked me in from the very beginning and left me wanting more in the end. This cannot be the end of Farrah and Blake because I need more. They deserve more happiness. I hope Cleo's manipulation and deception is revealed in the next book because I in no terms want Blake to end up with her. I need the truth to be revealed about everything asap in the next book so we can get back to more Farrah and Blake. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series, as well as other books from this author.
