this is one of the best security cameras I've found, the price is good for what you get .picture quality is excellent I have 4 of these now. you just put them Up, download the app and away you go, solar charged So no messing about taking them down charging the batteries. and the solar charging works very well,

A 4k, battery powered camera with solar panels and it delivers to a great standard. Very easy to set up, a great price (bought on prime day sales). The app is easy to understand and works along with other tapo devices to build an eco system. It's compatible with SD cards, a tapo home hub (I have the h500 which is also fab and gives extra functionality to your camera) and an option to subscribe for cloud storage but this is not essential at all. I've opted for an SD card as a back up and the h500 as the main driver to make use of the extra features it provides. A fantastic product which doesn't hide it's best features behind a subscription wall I will be buying more tapo cameras and slowly replacing my old cameras l, both to avoid subscription and because I'm genuinely much more impressed by these than my current system. Quality and value for money at the same time. Perfect.

I bought the Tapo TC82 to keep an eye on my backyard and kids playing outside, and it has been fantastic. Setup took literally 5 minutes - just mount it, connect to the app, and you're done. No wiring and the 180-day battery life is no joke; it's been running for weeks with zero maintenance. The 2K video quality is sharp and clear, and the colour night vision is genuinely impressive - I can see every detail in the garden even when it's pitch black. The Al detection is smart enough to ignore swaying trees but still alerts me instantly when someone (or the dog) is there. Best of all, there are no monthly fees and it works perfectly with both Alexa and Google Home. If you want reliable, high-quality outdoor security without subscriptions or complicated installation, this is the one. I've already recommended it to friends and family. Highly recommend!

Great cameras, perfect for a cheap set up, depending on where they are placed and how much traffic there is depends on how long the battery lasts, east to install, the screw plugs broke easily so used my own but the picture quality and sound quality is great for the price and they are quite small so easy to place. Would give another star if maybe it could rotate when needed

Very nice product - feels solid and well made. Easy to set up, and good performance. Very sharp pictures. Only thing missing is 'Face Recognition' but I have an H500 hub which offers that for any camera.

Initial opinion was good, camera looks and feels quality, easy to install and set up. Camera has been up now for just over a week on a telegraph pole around 10 metres from the house and a WiFi extender in a bedroom window. The signal was terrible initially, so I’ve trimmed a hedge so that there’s direct line of sight, quality has improved slightly but still not good, glitching and pixelated. Next step will be to hard wire the WiFi extender into the broadband router and see if that improves the performance of the camera. I really do not want to go down the route of installing an outside WiFi extender which will cost me more money I don’t want to spend, I bought this camera at half price and if it was at full price I would be really unhappy at this point. I have had two blink cameras on the same telegraph pole For several years and they have worked flawlessly, but one of them is starting to give up the ghost and I decided to get a new camera because you now have to pay a subscription to blink which I am unwilling to do. The other thing that so far isn’t performing as I expected is the motion detection, the blink camera would pick up movement right at the end of our drive as people or cars came around the bend on our drive, this Tapo camera seems not to be able to do this and only activates when people or vehicles are half way up our drive, I have tried all the settings and apart from pointing the camera sensor directly at the end of our drive it seems like the sensor distance isn’t as good as my blink cameras. Picture quality is hard to comment on at the moment because the recordings are not very good at the moment, at 2k you’d expect decent quality and definitely should be better than the blink. Three stars at this point for the camera being half price,good build quality and easy to set up and install. I will update the review if the recording and motion sensor quality improves, if not I will have to think about returning the camera and trying a different one. To summarise I’d say these cameras WiFi range is poor and you will need a strong WiFi signal to get the best from them, or be willing to install and outside WiFi extender to reach the cameras.

Very good value for money, clear pictures and sound. It is able to start recording before the image gets into view, so I don't miss a thing. I like the fact that I can adapt it at any angle I like, and the app notification is super as well. This should be the best on the market for the price, I am sure. It also connects to Google Home. I can even use it in the card wirelessly when fully charged if I am going on a long scenenic road trip. This is quality.

Bought 3 of this type and 2 are working great and I haven't had to recharge the last 2 months. One of them, however, needs recharging almost every 4 days. Would have given 5 stars.

La visión nocturna a color es un gran plus; ya no tienes que conformarte con imágenes en blanco y negro borrosas.Autonomía de la batería: La duración es impresionante. Aunque depende de la cantidad de movimiento que detecte, gestiona muy bien la energía. Además, es compatible con paneles solares de Tapo, lo que la hace prácticamente autónoma.Detección Inteligente: Filtra muy bien entre personas y otros movimientos (como ramas o animales), por lo que no recibes notificaciones falsas constantemente en el móvil.Almacenamiento: Valoro mucho que tenga ranura para microSD, ya que te permite guardar grabaciones localmente sin depender obligatoriamente de una suscripción mensual a la nube.Conclusión: Es una inversión inteligente si buscas seguridad perimetral fiable, fácil de instalar y con una aplicación (Tapo) que es muy intuitiva y rápida. ¡Totalmente recomendada!
