Fabulous find
I've been using wireless earbuds to listen to true crime podcasts at work for quite a few years. I have sensitive ears, so the type of earbud that you just shove into your ear canal doesn't work for me; they hurt my ears. I was finally able to settle on a neckband, with small molded buds that nestle in the outer part of the ear, pointed into the canal. I used soft silicone ear tips that hooked into the upper part of my ear, and they were pretty comfy. However, the neckband was silicone connected to hard plastic, and after a while of putting them on and taking them off, the silicone breaks away from the hard plastic, and while the sound is fine, the earbuds just fall apart. I had three or four of the same neckands, and I finally just got fed up and started looking for something different. Initially, neckband batteries lasted longer than individual earbuds, but now that's not necessarily the case. The problem for me was finding molded earbuds small enough to not hurt my ears. So I found these and decided to give them a try, and I'm very glad I did. They have a silicone piece that hooks over the ear, and the speaker lies up against the outer ear, with four different positions for adjustment. I need a few things with my work earbuds: 1. Battery life. I start my day at 7:30 am, and around 3:30 pm, I get a sound notifying me that the battery is at 20%. I only wear one at a time because I'm at work, and I don't want to be completely shut off from my coworkers should they need to speak to me. If, for some reason, the one bud dies, I can switch to the other one, which is still in the case and charged. 2. Multipoint connection. I have these connected to my tablet, which is how I listen to podcasts, and my cell phone at the same time, so if I get a phone call, it automatically disconnects from the tablet and switches to my ringing phone. 3. Range. I get up from my desk and move around the office, and I've had some earbuds that wouldn't stay connected at as little as 15 feet away. I experimented once with these, and I would say that at approximately 70 feet away from my tablet, around a corner, they started breaking up a bit. That is, by far, the longest range I've ever come across. I also have a restroom that's maybe 30 or 40 feet away with a thick wall separating it from my devices, and they stay connected. 4. Comfort. Once or twice a day, I need to pull the speaker away from my ear for a few seconds because it gets a tiny bit achy, but comparatively, they are comfortable. Bonus: with other earbuds, if I stay out of range for too long, I often have to reconnect when I get back in range. With these, they will automatically reconnect. There's an app that can be used; you can customize the sound and set functions. For instance, you can set the volume to increase or decrease with one tap or two taps, etc. When the battery is low, you can just put them back in the case and they'll charge up again, even without the case being plugged in. I'm very happy that I found these!

Easy Connection and much needed comfort!
These earbuds have helped so much with my ear fatigue! The sweat from my over the ear headphones had caused a rash and I needed something that wouldn’t cover/touch my ears and would stay on (all regular earbuds pop out of my ears ugh and they hurrrrt after only a few minutes). These were a bit uncomfortable at first but then I tilted them forward so the speaker part was almost parallel to the ground. This position is perfect for me and comfortable on my ears. When I had them more pushed back, the ends of the hook were hitting the outside bottom of my ear. Bringing them forward fixed the issue and they don’t go anywhere as I move all around. I teach online so I use these 6 hours a day and do crazy hand movements the whole time. They connected to my computer very quickly and I’ve had no issues with sound. I use the volume button on my computer screen so I haven’t figured out how to do that yet with these earbuds. I think I’d even like to have a different set to keep in my purse so I can listen to music on my phone. When you’re learning to wear them, remember they don’t go inside your ear hole. They hang and are just sitting by your ear hole if that makes sense. You can hear everything around you honestly so that’s good if you are out running and need to be alert. This is what has worked for me so adjusting until it’s comfy is definitely something I recommend.

Almost perfect!
I was tired of having buds shoved into my small ear canals and found these after researching all the different styles of open ear headphones. I used to have some ear hooks that I loved but they had buds attached and the hooks were simply for stability and anti-loss. They drove me nuts! Uncomfortable and annoying. I saw that these had flexible, rubbery hooks and were adjustable so that you could tilt the position of the speakers and took a chance. So glad that I did! I wear glasses, listen to audiobooks all the time and walk several miles a day. I needed something comfy to wear with my specs: check on that…good, clear audio for spoken word: check on that (and you can adjust the settings in the app to get crystal clear spoken audio!)…and something that would t trap moisture in my ear canals on hot, humid days when I sweat under the sun: check on that as well! With the open ear design I can hear my surroundings very well which is great in high traffic areas, yet I don’t miss a single word of my book and don’t have to have them turned up ear piercingly loud. Also, every other pair of buds I have worn walking have cut out in certain areas of my neighborhood. I know each area and prepare for them as I come upon them, knowing that the audio will get choppy and I may have to pause or rewind. These DID NOT cut out ONCE! Not one single time! I was truly shocked this morning. I went about 4 miles and hit every normally wonky spot and literally not a single pause, skip or cut out! Impressive! Another thing I appreciate is that the area to ‘tap’ on the control face is easy to locate and very responsive. The ONLY negative about this is that if you use only one single bud at a time, any controls you have programmed in go out the window and you are stuck using the double tap to pause rather than whatever you have them set to. If you use both buds then you’re good and they connect easily and all settings are restored, allowing you to use all four slots for whichever function you desire. LOVE being able to program them to my liking. I guess my only other dislike is that there is no screen or light dots to indicate how much charge you have left in your case. The one single light either flashes or remains solid and that is the only indication you have as to whether it’s above or below a certain percent. Now, these things have lights in them, which I haven’t really played with, and I don’t see myself using that feature a ton in the summer months BUT during the winter when I’m out walking early morning or evening when it is dark, I may certainly use the lights so that if I happen to somehow knock one loose and it falls to the ground, the lights can help me locate it. I don’t see this happening as they stay on my ears quite well BUT if I’m sporting a beanie, a good, glasses and ear hooks anything is possible. There are many light color options that I will eventually play with. I am honestly quite pleased with these and the lack of one star is for the two ‘cons’ that I mentioned otherwise these things are as close to perfect for me as it gets, especially for this price! If you’re on the fence just take the plunge and give them a try.

Soundcore V20i: Seamless Bluetooth Switching, Long Battery Life, No Drama
Alright… listen up, Amazonians. I don’t write reviews. I avoid them like I avoid assembling IKEA furniture without instructions. But these Soundcore V20i headphones dragged me in here against my will. I’ve spent enough money on headphones over the years to qualify for a small auto loan—Apple, Samsung, Bose… if it had a fancy box and a price tag that made me uncomfortable, I bought it. And yet somehow THESE are the ones that made me stop mid-day and go, “Wait… why do these work better than everything else I own?” Now let’s manage expectations before anyone accuses me of losing my mind: do they sound like you’re sitting front row at a live concert? No. Do the ear hooks feel like they could use a little more cushion? Yes. Do they have noise cancellation? Absolutely not—you will still hear your dog barking, your coworkers talking, and every bad decision echoing in your head. Are they waterproof? Also no. If you drop these in a pool, that’s on you, not Anker. BUT… these things have one superpower, and it’s the one feature that apparently every $200+ pair of headphones forgot to get right: they switch between my phone and computer like they’ve achieved enlightenment. I’m on my computer all day—calls, music, more calls, more music, repeat until I question my life choices. Before these headphones, switching devices felt like negotiating a hostage situation. “Why won’t you connect?” “Why are you connected to the wrong device?” “WHY ARE YOU CONNECTED TO THE NEIGHBOR’S TV??” With these? Call comes in—boom, switches instantly. Call ends—boom, right back to music. No button mashing, no Bluetooth menu gymnastics, no yelling into the void. It just works. The only thing I’ve used that even comes close is AirPods, but try using those outside the Apple ecosystem and suddenly you’re troubleshooting like it’s 2007 and you just installed a printer. These? They don’t care what you’re using. Windows? Cool. Samsung phone? Great. Chaos in your life? Handled. They’re comfortable, they don’t feel like they’re trying to burrow into your skull, and they actually stay on your ears when you move around like a normal human being instead of a statue. Oh—and the battery life? Ridiculous. I keep waiting for them to die and they just… don’t. At this point I’m convinced they’re powered by spite or dark magic. Are they perfect? No. Do they do the ONE thing I actually need better than anything else I’ve tried? Shockingly, yes. For this price, it’s honestly ridiculous. Anker really woke up and said, “What if we just made something that works… and didn’t charge a kidney for it?” Bold. Respect!

For $30 what's not to love?
These are small but mighty headphones on a $30 budget. You cannot go wrong here. The sound quality is excellent in the default mode but if you are an audiophile never fear you can fully customize the sound in the free soundcore app. If you aren't that savvy, you can also make easy adjustments in the app by type of music you are listening to or there are settings for podcasts and audiobooks. Or you can just leave it on the soundcore signature setting (which sounds great) and forget about it. These babies are very comfortable. I'm perimenopausal so anything in my ear canals make them itch like crazy. I had to find another option. I have a pair of beats over ear headphones that I wear strictly to bed to listen to for noise canceling/white noise. For obvious reasons these aren't ideal for daily wear (ie at work). I have a pair of soundcore aero clips that I love that I plan to keep locked up in my desk at work (they run about $150). I like these for work as my boss thinks they are some kind of newfangled piercing and has no clue I'm listening to music//baseball//podcasts. On a side note, I love these more than the Bose clips and they were half the price. Which brings me to the V20is. These are perfect for my bag or even a pocket as they come in a slim case. And, worst case, at $30 if they get lost or damaged I'm only out $30. Other things you should know: I wear glasses and these work and are reasonably comfortable. I don't know that I would want to test the outer limits of the battery life without a break but that's just me. Speaking of battery life, it maybe could be better but these are $30 headphones, probably can't have it all. Also, in addition to music I'm running a light show (see below), I'm sure this impacts the battery life. They paired easily with my Google Pixel phone. Now for the cons and then my favorite bonus feature. The cons are pretty much first world problems. One, they only come in 3 colors: black, navy and white. I would like more choices, maybe something in neutral or maybe even pastels. Second, they aren't that discreet unlike my aero clips. If I'm out with my in laws I'd like to be able to tune them out without it being quite so obvious that's what I'm doing 🤣🤣🤣 Now, my favorite option on these isn't even related to how they sound. If you go in the soundcore app there's an option called colorful lights. You can set up your earbuds to put on a light show set to the beat of the music. It's very cool. Granted, I can't see the light show because the headphones are over my ears but I've gotten a lot of comments on how cool it looks. So to wrap this up, you aren't going to find a better all around open pair of headphones than these soundcore V20is at this price point. And of course if you get them and hate them, send them back. The worse thing that could happen is you might have to go to the UPS store to send them back 🤣

Underrated
Best for under 40 dollars. My airpods broke so when i found these i thought they were good. I use these at the gym most of the time and i really like the hooks because they don’t fall off while im exercising. I’ve ahd these for a year and i had no issues whatsoever. I also use the app thats included with the headphones. I don’t really use it much but i thought it was pretty nice. These things last a WEEK i can’t remember the last time charged these things😭 usually i would charge them a week but one day i stopped and i didn’t REALIZE it until then thay i havent charged them and they’re still on!!! Battery life is underrated with these things. I don’t usually get them wet under my headphones but they should be sweat proof i had a couple sweats on it and they still work. You can use the skip botton and pause button and you can also assign commands to it like how you repeat two buttons twice to skip twice on the other ear to pause. They work well with my iphone 14 pro. Like my airpods did.

Perfect for TV or Audible
For daily use I can’t stand in-ears or over-ears. The soundcore V20 are the perfect solution for me. No pressure, no sweat - perfect comfort and securely fixed. That’s my second pair already and would buy them again P.S. I am the wrong person talking about perfect sound for music lovers

UPDATE TO: A real non-Ai written review
UPDATE: Well, I spoke WAY TOO SOON! These things are DANGEROUS! ! do not leave the case charging in your car, I really did like these headphones, but I've tried reaching out to Anker through email, the website and calling in, I asked the "automated AI agent" to have someone from their safety department call me back, the first call was a week ago when these things basically electrically shorted and put a burn mark on my leather seats of my SUV...So whatever you do, DONT EVER LEAVE THESE PLUGGED IN LONGER THAN YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO! I contacted Amazon customer care and they asked if I would like a replacement pair or to get a refund, I am hoping that this set doesn't have the same issues, but to be honest I'm very reluctant to try them again and I'll never charge them without me in the same room incase of another electrical issue. Amazon Customer Care was great this time around and they did all they could. but the fact that Anker will not respond to me in any way, shape, or form, is disappointing to say the least....I mean who is responsible for the electrical burns on my passenger seats? I'm lucky I didnt come out to anything worse than that. Who knows...maybe this review will get Ankers attention enough to at least get a call or email back.... These things are fantastic! I normally don’t do reviews but so far this headset gives me a good enough first impression that I felt compelled to tell someone! Initial thoughts:***(4.95/5)*** - I have tried a LOT of headphones over the years, and these are the first set I’ve purchased that ACTUALLY do what’s advertised. Sound Quality(What I hear): ***(4.9/5)*** - Don’t get me wrong, I was skeptical at first, but they’ve got REALLY good sound quality. They have a brighter tone and for me that helps a lot with vocal clarity when listening to friends and family that tend to…let’s face it, “not articulate their words as well as they should or can.” Sound Quality(What they hear): ***5/5*** - I’ve made sure to ask multiple people if they can hear me and they simply say “Yes? why?” Which is a great answer. I then explain that I’m using a new headset and I’ve been told that it sounds the same or “well I couldn’t tell”, Which I find Awesome! I get so tired of hearing “Am I on speaker phone?” I’ve even been told that my headset mic sounds like I’m just using the normal phone and holding it up like normal. Definitely an another win for the headset. Comfort: ***(4.8/5)*** As someone that is getting to the point that their hearing is not what it used to be. I can say that the combination of adjustable angles and open ear design definitely helps me feel comfortable wearing these all day. I barely notice I have them on until I get a notification. I hate putting headphones into my ears and cutting off the world around me so these are extremely nice and comfortable enough to wear all day long. No noticeable discomfort or ear fatigue from all day wear either. I do notice that wearing with glasses takes a moment to adjust whether you put these on first or the glasses(playing a game of who is on top?) and I find that glasses second are slightly more comfortable overall. Overall Volume:***(4.99/5)*** - This is the first headset that I haven’t had to max out the volume right out of the box just to hear everything let alone everything clearly. Most headsets lose clarity the more you increase the volume and these don’t distort even at the Maximum volume level they offer. I still have a little bit of headroom left for those times when it’s very noisy around me but I usually keep the level between 70% and 80% during the day. Kudos to the design team for figuring out that balance of Volume vs. Clarity! Final Thoughts: ***(4.9/5)*** - Now remember, I’ve only own these for a week but so far I love them and I’ll be sure to update if I notice anything else that needs to be said about them. They are a ridiculous good headset for the price point Anker is asking for them. Anker products have always been a go to product for me for audio and accessories but this is only my second pair of headphones I’ve owned from them. Are there better headsets out there as far as all of the fields I rated them on…OF COURSE!!! BUT NOT AT THIS PRICE! So today as it stands: Sound Quality(What I hear): *4.9/5* Sound Quality(What they hear): *5/5* Comfort: *4.8/5* Overall Volume: *4.95/5* Total Rating: *4.91/5* Hopefully this helps you make a decision to try them out.

Great headphones for a good price
I bought them because i wanted to try the Open Ear headphones for the first time and i figured i might as well buy some cheap ones and i was impressed by the quality of these headphones. Music sounds good, they connect so fast to the phone (as soon as you take them out of the case), battery last long, and you can even pause and go to the next song by tapping on the sides (you can modify in the app the actions for each side). For the touch part it might take a small second to react initially but i don’t blame it for not having a higher quality touch pad, it still works very well and i don’t mind that small part. I have yet to try them for a run/exercise to see if they hold with movement, the loops are not uncomfortable when i wear them for a long period of time, and you can adjust the size. I would recommend it if you would like to try new headphones.

Super lightweight and ergonomic
The casing is huge, but the product is great! I was concerned about the price thinking i would get a lowgrade electronics with terrible sound, but that wasnt the case! The sound is great and they are so lightweight that i often forget i even have them on. For me personally i would give these 8/10, maybe even higher!

Great price, great build, worth it.
I've tried a few different types of ear buds and in ear Bluetooth earphones. These are my favourite. They're not intrusive, because they sit over the ear, nor do they push anything further into your ear that may be there. The sound is perfectly good for activities such as walking or running and you can still hear important road/people noises; I use them as my running headphones. They have a great battery life, they don't seem to drain too quickly therefore you dont have to worry about charging them all the time. They are light and well built. I've dropped mine and they've been absolutely fine still. They've been with me in all weathers and haven't changed in any way. The case is excellent, and I've had no problems charging these. They're such a good price, too. I'm tempted to get another pair 'just because' but mine are still in such great condition.
