High quality hoppers. Hoping to catch some bass on these soon. They make for great indicators as well.

I am literally just getting my feet wet as a family fisherman. Every fly fisherman dreams of tying their own flies one day but to get you started you need something to put on the end of your line and this budget set of flies is a good way to start. They held together just fine and I lost way more of them then fell apart so they held up pretty well. I did not catch any fish but I don't think that was the fly's fault! If you're just starting this is a good way to get started.

Catches fish. Not coated with anything hydrophobic, or it didnt last long on my water. Floats really good with an oil based floatant

I was very pleased with the flies. They seem to be well made and the price was very good.

These are made of thin foam rubber, so yes, they easily float. They are super lightweight with the potential for wind drag. The barb on some hooks were barely visible, while others were more normal. Since the hook is "the thing," they are the most important part of the fly. Some flies incorporated the hook between levels of the foam. Others had the hook tied underneath the fly. The former leaves less exposed hook to catch the lip, a disadvantage for bigger fish.
