They serve their purpose to secure many different hair styles. Kind of flimsy. If you hit a scrunchie band or ponytail band the chignon breaks. Be careful how you place it to anchor an attachment.

Plastic pieces that will break easily but will do the job until they do break

They DO work! I have very thick heavy hair, and these pins work great!! Have only tried the one time, but so far is holding my bun perfectly. Addendum- after using a couple weeks, I find that they break easily. Have had 4 break so far. But I still like them, and they do hold my thick hair!

I have long thick hair and these clips hold my hair better than using several bobby pins. It takes only 2 clips, about 1 minutes and my hair is up, sturdy and I’m ready to go

These were probably meant for thin hair but I have thick horse hair so if you have thinner these would work really great I pull my hair really tight P and again because I have course that care these are made of plastic and they're not flexible so they will snap they will go through a bunch of them but for thin hair I think it would work really great but if you'd like to keep your hair tight throughout the whole day and keep it in in a really tight updo it won't work and you'll get really frustrated because they will snap and you can't readjust your hair either so you will keep readjusting because they will slip but they do match nicely with dark brown or light colored hair.

I bought these to add to Christmas stockings. They were a hit! They are very lightweight but have a nice thickness so they're easy to pick up and use. My daughters and daughters-in-law have various lengths and thicknesses of hair and everyone has been able to use them easily. With a little imagination you can find me, fun ways to do your hair with this tool. It's a nice replacement for barrettes or Bobby pins, and for the price, you get a lot! They came in two colors, black and brown. These are great to throw in your purse or school bag to use in a pinch, and they take up very little space and are very lightweight. None have broken that I am aware of, so I think the sturdiness is just right. Great performance overall!

The black pins are great. They work wonderfully to hold my long thick hair. (They stick out a teeny, tiny bit at the end, but it's not noticeable.) These eventually break, too. And no way can you stretch them wide the way they show in the photo. They split in half when you try and do this. But if you just push them into the hair, they are nice. The brown pins break as soon as you move them. The split in half at the top where there is a nearly invisible seam. Not sure if the ones I received have a manufacturing defect, but just the act of pushing them into my hair makes them break in half. Bummer, since I really liked them.
