27.5" Electric Bike, E-Mountain Bike with APP, 62 Miles Range

This was my first E Bike and so after reading the positive reviews from other people i decided to go for this model Varun 27-1 electric bike and i am not disappointed with it. It comes well packaged and 90% already assembled so i watched the video on how to assemble it and it took me an hour before i could go for a test run on it and after getting used to the gears on both handles as well as how to use the assisted travel pad whilst riding it,, i was very impressed with the whole bike and it"s features, especially the boost mode which was perfect for hills or headwind and you are not sweating and getting tired quickly. For the money, this bike is perfect and i would recommend this bike to anyone who is thinking about buying their first E bike. The aftersales service with Varun on their Whatsapp page was first class and they responded the same day with any queries i had with the bike. The motor was very powerful for me ,especially as i am 6.6ft tall and weigh over 15 stone, it gave me a great thrust of speed when in use and the battery is very powerful, so i can get a week of biking without having to charge it up. Overall, 5 stars rating for this Ebike.

Now that I have racked up a few hundred miles I felt it time to write a review of this bike. For the money, it is a good little bike, although you may need to swap out some parts to make it better. I'm a 60-something bloke, 6ft and overweight, so I wasn't expecting much; however, now that I have had it for some time, I can comment. Overall, the stock bike is quite good. I changed the saddle, as the one it comes with is like sitting on a razor! Additionally, I swapped out the discs and pads on the brakes for some better quality ones; the stock brakes are not really up to the job and on the bike I received, one of the discs was warped which made the bike shudder to a stop. As for the range, over hilly Dartmoor it returned 21 mile on a full charge, or 34 miles on fairly flat roads. Considering im 95kg, the mileage isn't too bad.

It came very well packaged and required minimal building. All tools were included but I used my own for some jobs just to make life easier. It took about an hour to build in total including the time to retrieve the seat post that I accidentally dropped into the frame! Everything worked first time and it is very nice to ride! As per UK law, the max speed it 25 kph but it gets to this speed very quickly on the flat and only slows down on the steeper hills. I have only taken it out for a couple of 10mile rides so far and the battery hasn't budged from 100% yet so I'm planning a longer ride at the weekend. It certainly makes me want to get out and enjoy the countryside. I have noticed a bit of a squeak from the front brake disk and the power seems to be quite abrubt. i.e. it comes on quite suddenly and also cuts out suddenly (as required by law, of course). It's also a bit rattley but nothing too bad. Overall I would recommend this as it seems to have the best range and performance for the price. And it's UK road legal which many don't seem to be. It's not as finnessed as some bikes I've seem but they all either cost a lot more or have a lot less range or both. A couple of slight niggles - it came with an EU plug not a UK. The seat didn't match the installation instructions but wasn't too tricky to work out. A screw was missing from the display attachment mechanism. I DIYed a fix rather than contact their support to save time.

I didn't want to spend a fortune on an e-bike. This fits the bill perfectly. One thing I hadn't noticed until I adjusted the brake cable on the disc unit, was that the brakes were the wrong way around for countries that drive on the left. This is easily rectified by switching the cables at the handlebars over & takes about 20 minutes.

Bike came well packaged and took about an hour to build, its really good at getting up hills no problem. It makes cycling more enjoyable. Overall it's a great bike.

When looking for an E-Bike I researched them thoroughly. Having a car and a motorbike already, I wanted a bike that offered range and reliability with a fast recharge time and seamless switching from standard pedalling up to full electric assisted riding. So far I have been more than happy with my purchase. The bike arrived the day after I ordered it and this was despite receiving two emails that said I would receive my purchase in 6 days time. Once I unpacked the bike and got rid of the packaging I found a short video that went through how to assemble the bike completely and it was extremely simple to follow. If I had any doubts I paused the video and went back a few minutes and rewatched that section. Full assembly took about an hour, but I am sure that more experienced cyclists and practically minded novices will do this much faster than I. My only complaint has been how the manufacturer handled a question. On receiving my bike I looked for anything that told me where to get the app that went with the handlebar controller, one of the key elements in my decision to prurchase this bike. After a day I received a request from the company that asked me to provide my proof of order from Amazon. This was not what I was expecting from the reviews I had read and I felt slightly aggrieved at their question. Nevertheless I duly downloaded a copy of the order and invoice showing that I had indeed bought their product. So far, I’m still waiting to get a link to the app from the supplier. However, I did find an internet forum that directed me to the app and I have managed to get it and install it without the help of the manufacturer. Not the best start to a Customer Service relationship for me.

Ho recentemente ordinato la Varun M27-1 e per ora sono estremamente soddisfatto. L'autonomia sembra davvero come promesso e l'utilizzo è facile ed intuitivo. Ho intenzione di utilizzarla nel tragitto casa-lavoro e nel tempo libero con la bella stagione e non vedo l'ora di metterla alla prova! Per la mia esperienza non posso che consigliare questo prodotto visto anche l'ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

My bike was delivered perfectly on time. Assembly was easy and bike works perfectly. All accessories came with bike and some I wasnt expecting. I contacted sipport for a number of things and the response was immediate. 5 star rating very pleased

Habe das Fahrrad für 900 € gekauft. Dafür gab es sogar die Version mit 27,5 Zoll Reifen also die größten Reifen und den größten Akku dazu. Bin sehr zufrieden, das Teil tut was es soll, kommt vormontiert in einer großen Kiste, Bremsen sind eingestellt, Schaltung ist eingestellt, habe ca eine Stunde gebraucht dann war das Teil zusammengebaut und konnte schon losfahren. Der Akku hält ganz ordentlich, was mir auch gut gefällt ist die Berganfahrhilfe, man muss nicht mehr schauen in welchem Gang man lostritt und hat keine Probleme mehr in einem hohen Gang am Berg anzufahren. Bremsen funktionieren auch gut kann man auch nachstellen, sind Bremsen mit Seilzug also keine hydraulischen, funktioniert aber genauso und an der Stelle möchte ich auch auf den Preis verweisen. Andere E-Bikes von Markenherstellern Kosten mal locker das vierfache und können auch nicht mehr, sind natürlich qualitativ etwas besser, aber für den Preis kann man sich absolut nicht beklagen. Im Menü lassen sich sogar noch einige Feineinstellungen was den Motor angeht vornehmen und man kann Daten ablesen wie die maximale Höchstgeschwindigkeit Kilometerstand und so weiter. Habe das Fahrrad auch eine Nummer kleiner für meine Frau gekauft, die ist auch sehr zufrieden, das hat sogar nur 700 € gekostet. Unterm Strich: das Teil ist kein High-End Markenprodukt, das kann man aber für den Preis auch nicht erwarten Punkt für den Preis kriegt man allerdings sehr viel fürs Geld, robustes Rad funktioniert hervorragend, tut was es soll und hat sogar einen Ständer dran, das haben nämlich 4000 € Räder von Cube nicht, die kann man nicht mal hinstellen ohne Aufpreis zu bezahlen.
