I was worried buying a non Lego brand set but was impressed by the product. Great price, sturdy, detailed, and easy to build. The only downside was no minifigures.

Very similar to the Lego brand. Good quality and good packaging.

This police set is good for what it is. Anything not leg o brand just does not compare. The pieces do not stay together as well and the instructions are always a bit tricky to read. That being said, this set was easy enough for my 7 year old to put together. He didn't complain too much about the pieces not fitting and he didn't need help. Some of the pieces however, were missing. It is a fun set and comes with lots of vehicles, which is nice. The station is fun.

A true hands-on experience that kids old enough to know not to swallow any small parts up through pre-teens will enjoy. It is a nice set, comes in a useful storage case, and includes (thankfully) instructions on what all you can build and how to build it. I see this as a much more mind challenging and learning toy than so many others. Something to keep a kid engaged for hours, not just building, but then making up stories of what all everything is doing as guardians of public safety. With over 900 parts, and the ability to construct multiple vehicles and an elaborate police station, there is a lot here to keep a child occupied, but also engaged in a learning experience. Not just the assembly of part, which is well worth the time, or the pride of finished projects, but also the who concept surrounding the kit. A big yes from me. Get one. The price is very good, the kit is very extensive, just plan to make some space for the finished results. Then smile and the work, and spend some time playing with your kids, or grand kids, with this toy.

I ordered a replacement set due to the police boat missing pieces, another set was send and that set is missing the same pieces!

Ok, as opposed to a video game that requires no thought or imagination, this set requires both. You create the story and the action and turn the blockish looking items into real things! The set comes in a nice container for packing away for later. There are almost 1000 parts in this and they have packaged them into component kits to build items from. But, that still requires reading and looking at directions in order to complete items. I am suggesting some parental guidance the first time around in building. Try to stay out of it and only assist when asked or if you s real blockage. Once completed, there will be a tendency to not want to take it apart! So, you may consider a location in a bedroom or other suitable area where it can be left up for awhile. All in all a very ingaging game that helps develop imagination, coordination, and thinking skills.
