Great product! Great price! Highly recommend!
Perfect for my outdoor shower. It's been in use for over a year, so I bought another one! Works great! I did order brass gas line quick connect fittings and it's held up well. I Highly Recommend this heater! Easy installation, nice shower head and water flow.

Great for "redneck" hot tub!
I love my Camplux! It's perfect for my "redneck hot tub"! I strapped a 20# propane tank to my dolly and hung the Camplux above it. It makes a perfect, easy to move system I use to fill the soaking tub I set up on my patio. The heater is super simple to use and makes very hot water! I have it set on minimum water and maximum heat after filling a bit of the tub with cool water to make sure it's not too hot for the tub material. The low water flow ensures it will come out as hot as it can get. I also added a weight to the end of the hose to make sure it stays in the tub while filling and a piece of pool noodle to make sure the metal hose doesn't pinch the tub material & make a hole. One thing though, it shuts down after maybe 15-20 minutes unless you move the heat dial a bit (I don't remember seeing that info in the directions). The heater shuts down, but cold water still goes through, which I believe is a safety feature, so if you aren't paying attention, your hot tub can be filled with cold water. I just set a 15 minute timer on my iphone to remind me to go check the Camplux.Overall, this works perfectly for me and my "hot tub"! Highly recommended.

Bought two of these-both failed-UPDATED
I have always been one to try and give credit where credit is due. I got off to a rocky start with the Camplux portable water heater, and still don't know why the unit failed. I guess I'll keep it for spare parts. However, Camplux support got involved and were responsive to my issues. Unable to solve my problem over the phone with tech support, they sent me a new heater. So far so good. When these heaters work, they work well. I hope to enjoy this one a little longer.I will add that one needs to be really careful when the temperatures start to dip down towards freezing. Per the owner's manual, I drained the heater as instructed by unscrewing the drain plug. It turns out that was not nearly enough. I got up to a shattered shower head and broken water line on the side of the heating element. Fortunately, I had another shower head and was able to solder the break without too much effort. Now that fall is here at 7,000', I not only drain the unit, but remove the water source, disconnect the hot water outlet to the shower head, and run the unit out of water till it is drawing air and no longer discharging water. And for good measure remove the shower head as I had a second one break even with the hot water hose disconnected and drained. As I said, so far so good. It's nice to have a functioning (and our only) shower again. So, Kudos to Camplux support staff for standing behind their product. I would give them four stars for their support and ultimately resolving the problem. Thanks. So, I purchased two of these units for a four-day outdoor wedding on our property in CO. I installed one in a shower I built, and the other in a makeshift kitchen. We were feeding (and washing dishes for) approximately 35 guests for the weekend. The unit I installed in the kitchen worked briefly then failed right in the middle of the party-No clicking sound, no hot water. To say this was a major inconvenience would be an understatement. The other one in the shower is now failing: the hot water hose that came with the unit for the shower head is about to explode in multiple places and the unit no longer produces hot water. It clicks, fires up, the water flows, but even on the maximum gas setting the water is warm at best. Yes, there is adequate propane to both units, they both new batteries, and adequate water pressure via RV water pumps. I am using the shower heads provided. I have been trying to work with the support folks at Camplux and though they seem willing to trouble shoot, I still have two of these heaters and neither one works properly. They were going to send me a new micro switch, but tracking says the switch hasn't even been shipped yet. The wedding was on August 26, 2023. I have been disappointed with these heaters and will be looking for an alternative as I still need two more for our winter residence south of the border. I would suggest doing your own research and looking into possible alternatives.

Waste of money!
Worked about 4 times well, after that worked about 50% of the time a few times. Now won’t charge. Waste of money.

Nice HOT showers
We take this camping and it provides really nice hot showers! Love it a lot. It's very convenient that you can use the smaller propane tanks on it and I get about 8 showers out of a tank. This was a great buy and we've really enjoyed being able to take hot showers on demand. I am giving this 5 stars because the product really is great but I am going to list out some cons for people to be aware of.The cons: The power button is on the bottom, so to turn the unit on and off you have to pick up the end. Really odd place to put it. The manual is beyond terrible. The only charger that comes with the unit is for a cigarette lighter. Not only do not all cars have cigarette lighters anymore but you have to drive around forever to get it charged. You can purchase a plug to charge the unit but the manual doesn't tell you what you have to buy. You have to call customer service to get the information you need.Overall, once you get this set up it's very easy to use and gives a great shower. Lightweight and you can take a really nice long shower with just 3-5gallons of water.
