I have yet to fine the perfect stun gun for my neighborhood walks. I previously purchased five different stun gun models and most have failed after a few months of use. I’ve only had this one for about a week now and we’ll see how long this one last. My main purpose of carrying a stun gun while I walk our dog is to protect us from wild animals and aggressive dogs that have escaped their owner’s yard. We’ve been attacked in the past and I just deterred a coyote from approaching us the other night with just the sparks and noise of this stun gun. Anyway, here are the pros and cons of this stun gun as compared to others I’ve purchased and used. Pros: 1. Small enough to carry and very lightweight. 2. Has a wrist strap with security pin to disable stun gun should it be taken from the user forcibly. 3. Has an alarm feature and is fairly loud. (But turns off the stun gun and flashlight to operate it). 4. Stun gun works with flashlight on at the same time. (First one I purchased that could operate both simultaneously). 5. Stun gun trigger on lower side of grip and easy to operate. 6. No cord needed for charging. The charging prongs slide out of the rear portion of the stun gun so it can be plugged directly into the wall...(but charge indicator is always ’RED’ color so the charge level status cannot be determined. Only that it ‘IS’ charging). Cons: 1. Cannot operate stun gun without having the LED flashlight on at the same time. I have yet to find a model of stun gun that will allow the flashlight and stun gun to operate independent of each other or at the same time. This stun gun is an improvement over others I’ve purchase. With the previous purchased models you had to turn off the flashlight to activate the stun gun feature. This was not ideal at night...but with this stun gun, you have to have the LED light on if you want to have the stun gun feature ready for trigger with the squeeze switch. Someone needs to make a stun gun where each function is independent of each other or can be used together. That way when walking during the day the stun is available, but you are not using up battery life having the LED light on during daylight hours. In another scenario it would be nice to be able to operate the flashlight only if there was no need for the stun gun feature and thus prevent accidental triggering. Finally, when used at night, both the LED and stun gun could be activated simultaneously (like this stun gun does now). I’m still looking for a good stun gun / flashlight that has either, or, or both operating modes. 2. The flashlight in this stun gun is just adequate for walking at night. An improvement would be to add a couple more LED or made the one LED a bit brighter and focusable. I still carry a second flashlight besides the one in this stun gun in order to see clearly at night. I wouldn’t rely solely on this LED flashlight as my only source of light at night. The LED light in this stun gun would be okay to shine in an attacker’s face to help deter them before using the stun feature. 3. The LED charge indicator light is always on and ‘RED’ color while charging. The status of the charge cannot be determined. The color of the LED never changes nor does it extinguish when fully charged. Some form of remaining charge indication should be incorporated into this stun gun. So, I purchased two of these stun guns and will see how long they last. If any company wants to design a stun gun similar to this one, please consider adding these features... 1. A little larger size would be okay, but this size is fine too. 2. Brighter LED flashlight with possibly a focus beam. 3. Make all functions independent of each other or both together - Flashlight ON/OFF or Stun gun ON/OFF or Both ON or OFF. 4. Charge LED indicator light should shows status of charge and possibly the charge remaining in the battery...similar to a power tool Lithium-ion battery pack that has a row of LEDs showing the level of charge, or a color changing LED. 5. A trigger grip on the stun gun similar to this one, but maybe with a locking mechanism to prevent accidental squeezing of the trigger when for instance the user is trying to get something out of a coat or pants pocket while the stun gun is tied to the wrist. 6. A stun gun that last longer than a few months or the LED flashlight doesn’t fail prematurely before the stun gun is no longer operable. 7. Keep the direct plug-in to charge feature, eliminating the charge cable. (Like this one). Looking forward to purchasing a stun gun with these improvements someday...

30 days later with minimal use, the taser has already failed! The switch itself is so close to the surface of the device that one needs nails of a certain length to move it to the ON position, which could be tricky in a dangerous situation. I have purchased a number of different tasers to use a coyote deterrence and few are easy, safe and reliable. I am very disappointed that this one, which is small, easy to grip and activate, has failed so soon.

I really love this stun gun because it had exactly what 3 features I was looking for. A flashlight, a loud alarming sound and a safety pull in case your attacker gets it out of her hand. It’s also really convenient that the charging prongs are built in so it’s easy to charge anywhere you’re at. 10/10 I would highly recommend!!

Love this stun gun so much! It’s practically a three in one tool, it fits in your hand perfectly. I bought this once before and lost it, and immediately went back and bought the exact same one because I love it that much

The switch is to small to use with gloves .the very loud alarm goes off if you push the power switch the wrong way. If you were in a tense situation and needed it ready and put the three way switch the correct way to use the unit .the flashlight is on, wich would not be good for a person hiding from an attacker . And if you push 3 way switch the alarm way....well , let's just say it would probably bring someone to record your assault to post on social media .makes a massive arc .didn't get to try it on anyone .might help in a small dog attack ?

I bought two taser and although one of them was unable to charge, the other one worked fine ! Charging port was a bit difficult though, but managed to find a way to charge it.

Due to light and stun not working independently. I was going to return it, but seller will not provide paid return shipping which doesn't seem right as the description indicated that this was the updated version where the light and stun work independently . (The light only works independently with the safety pin out.) You don't want the light on while running away or hiding so the assailant can find you. The siren is good as it works independently with the pin in or out. The seller only sent return label where I have to pay for shipping. My request for a paid return shipping label had no reply other than to send another return label that I would have to pay for.
