This might work for certain issues, but mine is at my L5-S1 disc (very low back), and I could not get the angle right no matter what I tried (yoga blocks, pillow, etc). It would feel good for a moment then it would start to feeling like it was pinching at the wrong angle. REGARDLESS - I am floored by the price of this thing. It’s literally a strap and 2 pillows you have to blow up. I cannot believe they have the nerve to charge almost $200 for this.

Easy to set up! Instant relief. I have 2 herniated disks along with a pinched nerve, this helps SO much. Although the relief is temporary for me, I would still buy it 10x over. The hour or so of not having nerve jolts down my leg is worth every penny. The strap and tension springs are made well, the blow up wedges arent but I suppose the ease of storing is worth it. Overall, I appreciate this home product over having to go to PT several times a week for decompression.

I have no idea why there aren't better reviews on this! Yes, it is pricey but it is easy to use, convenient, and costs a lot less than having traction treatments done professionally! If you suffer from disc issues, I highly suggest this product! With this product, I now we'll be able to treat myself at home and have a more effective option than using a countertop, hanging over a ball, or upside down on an inversion table. I'm so glad I went with this over the saunders lumbar traction device. It is not small and weighs 32 lb! This can also be used with a partner so they can assist with traction and not injur their back. Thank you for making this and Amazon for carrying it!

If your looking for true lower back decompression this isn't it. Better off dead hanging off a doorway pull up bar.

My lower back has been a mess since I was young. So I have for the last 20 years tried to keep my core body strength in good shape and go see the chiropractor on a regular basis. In December I really threw it out. After x-rays, 7 or 8 weeks of PT (where manual lower back traction helped) I finally was able to get an MRI and yes, three slightly budged discs in my back. Instead of going back to PT I decided to try home traction. I live by myself, so an inversion table just seemed not the right choice. There were tables with a hand crank but that seemed a potential for further injury. I decided to try the one that was closest to the manual traction at my PT. Three days... and I felt sooo.... much better. I track my sleep; I have been tossing and turning all night due to the lower back pain. After three days, the tossing and turning was gone. The tightness in my back was gone. I'm on day 10 now and hope that once I'm done with the 21 days that this issue simply won't be an issue anymore. So, why four stars and not five? The waist belt is a bit funky to get into and lay back with. I only have one door in the house to do this with, that might be the problem but getting into it and laying back is not something for someone older or real severe back pain. If you have real severe back pain, go to PT and let them help. Otherwise, give this a try. I'm happy I did!
