it's a good camera and solar panel
Works as advertised. After I took it out of the box, I connected it to charge as recommended, I then turned it on and inserted the SD card that I purchased with it.and then I downloaded the app and created an account and added it to my Wi-Fi network. And that was it simple set up. I then went and installed it outside and attached the solar panel and made sure it was facing the southern sky for maximum exposure. On the app in my phone, I personalized the alerts and what not, so it has been about a week since I installed it and I have to say that the image quality is really good. The battery is at 86% primarily because of all the alerts as well as there have been a few cloudy days so I can say that the solar panel is doing its job. and the data used on the SD card is around 700 mb. by the way its a 32 gb card so it will last a long time. I can go live and zoom in and at night when I check an alert. the light comes on so that I can see better. well, that's all for now. thank you

It’s pretty good.
Picture is pretty clear love that it can move. I had got one like lasted 3years it was working I had it on my power pole for my mobile home and one day. Light company came to switch it to my house and shows them coming and then it stopped working so can’t say it’s missed up since last thing on there is them same day misses up. Went to look at it and the solar cable was missed up and on the cam just said power low and never showed a video again. Had SD card.. was about 150’ from the house and showed good mosts times. Except storms ,high winds.

Can't Go Wrong
I'm reviewing the Black, ReoLink 2k security Camera (Wireless, Outdoor, PTZ, Solar). Up until now we've only had experience with indoor cameras (mainly for watching the kids, but also for security purposes). Most cameras I've worked with only work on 2.4GHz so the fact this worked with 2.4 & 5GHz was kind of cool. During my research I was actually searching for a cheaper option; most indoor cameras are $50 or so and $160 was more than I'd planned on spending. However, every review (outside Amazon) pointed to Reolink being the best option for people who don't want to pay monthly subscription fees. So, I decided on this. I'm glad I did. The setup was difficult- not because of Reolink but because of where I wanted the camera placed. I may or may not have almost fallen off the roof, but no matter, installation was successful and setup of the Reolink outdoor camera/the solar panel was a breeze. Setup with wifi/the app the night before will be easy for anyone who's setup wifi with a smart device/light bulb etc before. There is a cool feature that tracks how much footage (live and recorded) has been viewed to show where the battery usage is going. I've viewed a total of 10 minutes of live footage and the battery is still at 100%. The solar panel really does it's job, because any other new wireless camera (even our doorbell camera) would be down to at least 90% after that much live viewing time. Kudos to the power of the solar panel. It works. The camera quality is the best I've seen on any of my cameras. The colors are extremely clear and, if you don't want color, then you can change it to black and white mode. I wish I had added a screenshot of the camera during the day, because any night footage will be blurier than day footage. Don't let it fool you- the image is very clear. The motion sensing seems to be accurate. I haven't had it long enough to give this category the best review, but my neighbor walked across the street to check their mail and the camera was able to distinguish it from a car. So I'd say that's a good thing since I'd turned off the vehicle notifications. Keep in mind the camera has only been setup for 1 full day and 1 full night, so this isn't a review after having it for months. However, I'll follow up in 6 months with a more accurate review. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the price dropped $30 the day after we received it :( buy it now while it's $130. Incredible deal. I gave this product 4 stars since it did not come with a MicroSD card (they're so cheap nowadays, not sure why they wouldn't include even a low GB one). Every company/product has something to upsell and Reolink is no different. ***Friendly reminder, insert the formatted SD Card BEFORE placing the camera so that you don't have to get on the roof again hours later to install it. This didn't stop me from getting motion notifications, but did prevent me from seeing the Playbacks. So, don't forget! ******3 month update. No changes to the above review. Very good camera. I’ve yet to see the battery drop below 100% (even through snow & cloudy days). Purchasing another for the backyard.

Reolink solar
I recently installed a Reolink solar surveillance system, and I’ve got to say—it exceeded my expectations. The biggest advantage is the solar setup. Not having to run wires or worry about power sources makes installation simple and clean. Once it’s mounted, it pretty much takes care of itself. The battery stays charged, even with regular use, which is a huge plus. The video quality is solid—clear during the day and surprisingly sharp at night. Motion detection is responsive, and the alerts come through quickly without being overly sensitive to every little movement. I also posted a video so you can see the actual quality for yourself, along with the location where I mounted it. That way you get a real-world look at how it performs, not just specs on paper. Another thing I like is the app. It’s straightforward, easy to navigate, and lets you check your cameras anytime without any headaches. Setup was quick, and everything synced without issues. Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable, low-maintenance security system without dealing with wiring, Reolink is definitely worth it. It does exactly what you need it to do—set it up, and it just works.

BAD CAMERA DONT BUY
Where to begin? I bought 6 cameras AND 8 MEMORY CARDS…yes 8, not 6 and yet I still can’t even get the decency of an email back. Do NOT waste your money on these horrible cameras. I’m going to give a VERY open and honest review and I WILL give an update when Reolink is professional enough to get back to me via email, as this was exactly what I said I intended on doing originally. 5.10.24 was my first issue after buying this originally on 8.30.23…9 months later. Second issue was 5.23.24. If the 9 months doesn’t already speak volumes, I don’t know what does. The camera should not be NOT working in less than a year when you clearly followed the directions and all you did was hang it up and didn’t touch it, and then the fact that a second camera two weeks later breaks? It’s like a domino effect with these cameras. I can’t be the only one. I also had to follow back with these people on my emails because they didn’t get back to me right away. It’s a security camera company lol what type of security is this? They don’t take security seriously at all. And on top of that you’re going to get really annoyed with them because they never read your emails thoroughly. You always have to repeat yourself. They are very sweet in their emails but they are SUPER annoying because again, they don’t listen at all - and they suck at getting back to you. FYI YOU have to pay to ship it out in order for them to replace it or fix it. It doesn’t matter if the camera is faulty on their end because I paid for shipping, no joke at least 3 to 4 different times and put up an argument because of it because of how soon it happened after just buying their products and buying 6 of their cameras nonetheless, and several of their memory cards… they agreed to buy ONE shipping label for me. The last disagreement with Reolink that really did it for me was due to their product not working (the cameras would randomly break) and people were still vandalizing my property which was the whole reason I bought Reolink “security cameras” to begin with but no one was taking their security cameras seriously. I’m still being brutally harassed to the point where leaving home feels extremely uncomfortable due to being followed and stalked (and yes the police are involved) so I asked them to please do me the favor and to have the camera they were going to ship me to replace the faulty camera that was no longer working shipped to my apartment and to have the shipping service pick up the broken camera from my apartment instead of having me go to the UPS or post office due to the situation I’m currently in. I informed them that I would be greatly appreciative of this generosity due to the circumstances getting worse and not better. They informed me that this was not a service that they offer and I told them that I understood that this was not a normal service that they usually offer, I was asking them to please make an exception due to their products being faulty, and the fact that I bought SO many products from them (6 cameras, 8 memory cards - well over $800 alone lol and it still didn’t do the job) and that I HAD BEEN MORE than understanding throughout the 2.5 years since u originally bought the product, meaning - I had never left a bad review and that all I wanted was a product that worked and that due to their products not originally doing the job to begin with and due to all the constant back-and-forth emails and the stress and the headaches, now it’s been 2.5 years with their products, I was simply asking for something VERY small. I was asking for a favor, which was that IF they needed their broken camera back because it’s protocol then instead of having me mail it, please do me a favor I’m asking you to mail me the packaging that you would like me to mail it back in. Something like this is NOT difficult whatsoever. In fact, many companies offer this hassle free. But with Reolink? This company took DAYS to get back to me in the email and I needed a working camera ASAP and because their other 2 cameras already broke on me (now I only have 2 working cameras out of the 6, the other 1 was stolen) and I didn’t even bring THAT to their attention because they were ALREADY trying to claim that I was out of warranty and that they were doing ME a favor regarding replacing one of my broken cameras lol…which I thought was funny because their cameras were breaking from the VERY beginning AND so fast and so soon! I didn’t even bring up the fact that I still have SEVERAL other broken cameras that don’t charge, don’t turn on, so I technically have three broken cameras, lol - but apparently this was TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR because this took close to two months just to get basically NO response and NO clear answer as to why they could not make an exception. They made it seem like there was absolutely no way whatsoever they could mail me an empty box or anything where I could put the camera in to mail it back to them, they made it seem like it was mission impossible, and when I asked for a clear answer as to why this is, they never responded…and I sent the email several times asking for a CLEAR RESPONSE and to this day, I NEVER received an email back NOR did I receive a working camera back because I never was able to mail them back their broken camera because they never emailed me back because they are an unprofessional SMALL company. I emailed them several times videos where I took the time to show them why their cameras weren’t good. I took the time to explain to them how they were faulty - literally, I took hours and several weeks explaining to them how they were not helpful AT ALL and why even the POLICE didn’t think they were good cameras, so keep this in mind for anybody who’s considering these cameras, even the police told me these were NOT good cameras LOL. The police recommended the brand HALO…I’m not sure if that is a good camera or not, I haven’t tried it yet but just throwing that out there! So why am I saying all of this? It’s NOT because I couldn’t get them to make an exception for ME due to a service they CLAIM THEY CANNOT OFFER because I know that’s where they’re going to take this because that’s what they were trying to do in the email but that’s simply not true. The truth is it’s because their cameras suck. I had several opportunities where the people who are vandalizing my property were actually on their cameras and you can’t make them out AT all and the people who were vandalizing my property KNEW it and did NOT take these cameras seriously lol they actually ended up stealing one of the cameras because these cameras are a joke!!! I had to shut down my business because of it, I couldn’t afford to keep up with putting money back into my business because of all the vandalizing, I actually bought these cameras in hopes to save my business…and then because I kept moving the cameras around this last summer in hopes to catch the guys who were doing it, it ended up annoying them so much that they’re coming after me personally now because they’re crazy obviously…but that’s why I was hoping that this company would at least try to help somebody out because the business that they’re in is to help people out, they’re trying to secure people’s property and to make people feel safe…isn’t that the point? Not for this company. If their camera keeps breaking on you, they’re not going to keep replacing it. They’re not going to keep helping you. They basically want you to pay for their own bad product. So depending on what it is, you’re looking to get out of these cameras I wouldn’t waste your time… there were times where somebody was in front of my property and then all of a sudden a few seconds later the video cuts out but then all of a sudden you see something randomly on my property which meant the person who was in front of my property just a few seconds prior, put something on my property, but I don’t have any proof of that lol…do you see what I mean? I tried working with these cameras for 2.5 years because I bought so many of them, I tried to stick with what I already invested in, but I ended up losing more money because of it. So if you’re considering buying these cameras to protect your property or to feel safe - please don’t. I ended up losing so much money because of it and now? I’m dealing with a small business (Reolink) who’s trying to act like they’re a big business but I can clearly tell how they act in these emails that they’re not. When I sent them the video showing them everything that was wrong with their cameras they pretended to watch it, I guess not realizing that you could see who viewed the video and who didn’t, and for how long and you can clearly see that they never saw it originally and then they pretended like they watched it and lied to me in the email lol. And then they gave me all these bad excuses as to why their cameras were glitching- pretty much saying that it depends what you’re using the cameras for and it’s not made for everyone, etc but the thing is they then sent me a camera that they claimed was the most popular product and that most people loved and I used it at home connected it to my router, and that camera broke literally in less than one week… I know you guys don’t technically know what I’m doing with these cameras and you guys don’t know me, but let me just tell you right now - you’re wasting your time getting these cameras. I will update this review when I hear back from the company and they actually act professional otherwise as of right now I’m sitting with three broken cameras and none of them turn on and whether they’re out of warranty or not, I only bought them in 2023 they shouldn’t be broken… and regardless you don’t treat a customer like that. I’ve spent over $800 on the products alone and that’s not including the shipping labels I had to pay for numerous times. Cameras I’m reviewing: REOLINK 5MP Solar Camera Outdoor Wireless, Pan Tilt Battery Solar Cam with 2.4/5GHz Dual-Band WiFi, Color Night Vision, Smart Detection, Home Hub Compatible, Timelapse, Argus PT + Solar Panel (Black) AND REOLINK 4MP 2K Indoor Camera E1, Plug-in Wireless WiFi 6 Security Camera, 360 Degree Pet Camera with Phone app, Baby Monitor with Person/Pet/Cry Detection, Night Vision, 2-Way Talk, Local Storage

Solar-Powered Flexibility with Clear Video, But Wi-Fi Needs Help
I’ve been using the Reolink 4K Solar Security Cameras for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really happy with how flexible and easy they’ve been to install. Since my home gets solid sunlight in different areas, I was able to place these cameras in multiple outdoor spots without worrying about running power cables. The solar charging works impressively well — after a full day of sun, the battery charges quickly and can last up to 18–24 hours of continuous viewing. That’s a big plus for me, especially since I hate dealing with wires or frequent charging. The PIR motion sensors help conserve battery by keeping the camera mostly in sleep mode until movement is detected, which makes sense and works as expected. Video quality is definitely one of the highlights. The 8MP footage is sharper and more detailed than my old Ring Spotlight Cam, especially at night — the color night vision is a nice upgrade, making everything look more natural instead of just black and green. I can clearly see faces and car details, which matters to me for home security. Integration with Home Assistant has been smooth too; I can pull up live feeds, control the pan-tilt functions, and get alerts without relying on the Reolink app. Speaking of the app — it’s not perfect, but once you get used to it, it’s functional enough. I also connected mine to the Reolink Hub, which helps keep everything centralized and gives me local storage options, which I appreciate since there’s no subscription fee. My biggest issue has been Wi-Fi stability. Compared to my older Ring camera, this one struggles a bit on my main network, especially when the signal dips. I ended up having to buy a Wi-Fi 6 satellite (extender), which helped, but it’s a little annoying that I had to spend extra just to get a reliable connection. For a camera that’s already relying on solar power and wireless connectivity, solid Wi-Fi is kind of a must. That said, the trade-off is worth it for me — no monthly fees, great video, and the freedom to install them almost anywhere. If your Wi-Fi is strong, these would be a no-brainer. As it is, they’re a solid choice — just be ready to boost your network if needed.

Excellent product
Completely impressed, uses wifi, clear image, live viewing from anywhere as long as wifi signal is available, we use it as a driveway announcer also, let's one know if the motion detected was a vehicle, person, or animal. Has been in operation for a few months now even past minus 20 degrees Celsius, always maintains battery via solar as it is in a remote location. No more surprise visits picks up the motion every time. Even if the wifi signal is lost, it will still record events to the SD card, which can be viewed once the wifi signal has been restored. Would recommend easy to setup as well. Nice app functionality.

Buen producto, mal servicio post venta.
