I am doing some audio recordings on my laptop using Scarlett 4i4 interface. The interface gets power from the computer via USB so it stays on for as long as the computer is on. I didn't like that, I almost never turn of the computer. This cable turns off the power to the interface while not affecting the audio quality at all. Feels solid too and it's easy to use, just plug in and play. The length is perfect, sits right next to the computer and the controls are within the reach.

I use this cable to connect a digital audio interface to my desktop PC. It plugs into a USB port on my PC that stays hot even when the PC is powered off. The audio interface has no switch of its own, and it was cumbersome to disconnect the cable to turn the interface off. I needed a switch/cable to turn the interface off when not in use. This cable works perfectly for that purpose. The cable itself is thin, but still a bit stiff. It has some shape memory. It can be coiled, but not tightly. It has a very sturdy toggle switch. I am confident that it would last through many switch cycles. It carries data and power and works exactly as expected. I recommend it to anyone for a similar purpose.

A piece of garbage. Lasted about 3 weeks with less than daily light usage. Cost me a bunch of time and work to figure out that this was the component in the chain that failed. Definitely not worth the price tag, this is a 5 dollar item at best.

My microphone doesn't have an on/off switch and I don't want to plug/unplug it repeatedly. The microphone worked fine with this switch and it's easy to disconnect with the switch. The cable is uncommonly stiff, so i recommend ordering the right length (there are a three lengths available as of now) since a long cable may be a nuisance. Recommended!

Got this solely to turn off power to my cellphone charging stand. I keep my phone on a charging stand all day at work, best not to let it charge to 100% all the time, maybe 85. Plugged this into the adapter, foam tape to the back of my stand and instead of constantly plugging and unplugging i just rock the switch. Works perfectly. Power only, no data testing in this case. Perfect for such a use.

I have a usb display resource monitor for my computer and since its plugged into the back of the computer it's a pain to unplug there and the connection at the monitor is a bit of a pain to get in and out of as well. It didn't come with an on or off swith and if I step away from the computer I don't always want the frame on 24/7. Well, a usb cable with a on and off switch was just the thing I needed. Such a simple design and it does exactly what I want. The ability to turn a usb device off with a switch. The cable is very durable and I've had zero issues so far. If you need to turn a usb device on and off then give this cable a try.

Does what it said it should do. But is a little pricey. Used it as the cable connecting my Mac to my Focusrite audio interface. Now I can leave my Mac on charge and switch off the power supply to the Focusrite without disconnecting it. Data transfer is super fast. No latency issues.

broke in slightly more than a month. amusing that the name is so similar to ripoff.
