Great seal
These drain hose seals worked great. The flap valve (check valve) is great since it doesn't allow water to flow back into our laundry room. I have this in 1.5" PVC drainpipe. It holds the drain hose in place well enough so that I don't have to secure the hose.

Seal failed in 3 months
Purchased this to replace a rubber tension seal that had loosened over the course of 3 years through regular use. This stopped sealing in 3 months and filled our home with sewer gas smells. Spring or magnet or whatever is holding the seal closed needs to be stronger if it's expected to function over a long time, and failure isn't really an option when an item is protecting your home from sewer gases.
