Get one
I was a bit nervous having to install this as never done one before....however....it was super easy. Once I'd worked out where best to route the wires, it was super easy to fit and tuck everything behind the trim with the special tool provided. Plugs into the cigarette lighter and switches on with ignition unless your socket is live constantly which means it will record continuously without the engine on. Simply unplug it if that happens. Picture quality from both front and rear cameras is excellent, really clear and detailed. App use is simple enough aswell. Connect to the inbuilt WiFi to access live camera and also the automaticly saved footage. SD card loops and re-writes and footage can be recorded in 1 minute or 3 minute segments. Honestly, this camera is excellent value for money and since buying 1 and being so impressed, I've bought another 3 for the other cars and my parents. The review rating doesn't lie, you won't be disappointed.

This is a really good dashcam - 5 star recommendation
I have had dashcams for my car for a while now, but wanted to get a good quality 4k one for a while with a front and rear camera. I looked around and decided on this set up. It was neatly packed and contained everything you need for set up, including the all important micro SD card as well as the roof lining tool to be able to lift the roof lining to hide the wires. I was a little nervous to start with as I was concerned that the dash cam would need a separate 12v socket but handily it runs as a spur off the main dashcam. You can run just the main camera if you wish. My advice in terms of set up and siting would be to make sure that you really clean your windscreen on the inside where you want to site your camera - in my case I put it on the passenger side, behind the mirror, so it is really unobtrusive. Once you've cleaned your windscreen, be a little careful with the electrostatic sheet you then apply. It's easy to get bits of dust and air underneath it so definitely take care when you apply it, and apply it with a soft cloth. I was in a bit of a rush so used the edge of a credit card, and it scratched the sheet badly so had to throw it away and use the one that was supplied for the rear camera. Once you get going, set up is very easy. Again, just make sure when you are positioning the dashcam, ensure you are happy with the way it is lined up before you remove the cover off the glue pad. If you're working by yourself to fit it, just peel a corner of the glue pad back to start with to check your trial position. The rear one is easy to fit, but as I have a hatchback it's better to fit it to the roof lining rather than the rear glass. The glue pad for this again seems to be more than sticky enough to do this, and then you just have to 'chase' the power lead from the unit through to the front camera via the lining and the door pillars - but again this is pretty easy to do. Once they are installed, setting up the cameras with the wifi connectivity is very straightforward - I did have a bit of a problem to start with as my phone wouldn't pick up the 5G wifi signal, it would only pick up 2.5G - and so it wasn't connecting properly, but I spoke with customer services and they helped me to resolve the issue. Once you're connected you can then adjust all your camera settings as you wish. There is not a 'parking monitor' hardwire option with this camera - but I understand that you can purchase a hardwire kite from the vendor. I think the video quality from the front camera is excellent (I did try to upload a video, but unfortunately as I had set the GPS on, I appear to have fallen foul of the community guidelines as shared personal information so have removed the video - but the 4k quality is very good and even on a dull, wet day which is when I trialled it, it was easily able to pick up registration plates). The rear camera is NOT a 4k, but is a perfectly usable 1096. It shows as a picture in picture on the small screen on the back of the camera, but it records a separate feed on the micro SD. All in all - really pleased with this purchase, and thoroughly recommend it

Video Format not helpful
A great system, excellent value. The picture (front camera) is superb, not fitted the rear one yet. My only issue is playback of recorded videos, they're in a special GKU format - .FTS which is not playable on either a Mac or a PC, only on the phone app. There is a video conversion app (VLC Media player) but this will not work on an Apple laptop. This makes viewing footage only possible on a phone, not ideal if checking on accident footage and/or number plates etc. Perhaps the police have better software? Hopefully any user will never need to view accident footage but a recording format for Windows and/or an Apple computer would be desirable.

Good value dashcam
This camera was easy to install, having front and rear cameras is a bonus, used to have another well know brand in my last car but this is much better value for money, great quality picture and easy to check footage on your phone. I liked the camera so I purchased one for my wife as well. Installed for several months now and no issues, works as advertised. The way the camera sticks to the window is different from previous cameras I had as well, much better and less mess if you need to remove it. Day and night vision as better than I expected, no issue reading number plates. I did purchase a 256GB card as I felt the 64GB was a bit on the small side but it depends on how much video you want to hold on to, if it's just in case the 64GB is fine.

Very good camera, amazing customer service. But am not amazed with the app.
The camera itself is great, Was simple to setup. Good price. Nice and discreet in my car. Only thing that lets it down is the app. It requires you to connect via wifi which is weird, why not just bluetooth ? And the playback is god awful . I thought the camera was broken when I tried to play a recording back from the cameras own storage on my phone. BUT! Once I downloaded the file from the camera. The picture was clear and great! So overall if you just want a good camera that isnt going to rip you off financially then this is it. Just the app is a bit crap and the wifi connected playback is also crap. **EDIT ADDITION** So few months into owning the camera, it is still fantastic. I contacted their customer service over a trivial problem I needed assistance with. And hand on heart these have been the warmest, most helpful people I have ever encountered in customer service. Not only did they go out of their way AND out of their own pocket to help me. Start to finish was an exceptionally high standard of customer service. Its been a long time since a company made me feel valued for giving them my money and that theyre genuinely on my side to help. This puts them up from a solid 4 which I had previously, straight to a 5.

Helps protect you against dodgy drivers
I bought this dash cam to replace my old Next Base one and I'm really pleased with my new purchase. It's an excellent bit of kit. The installation of it was a doddle, especially as there is a small trim tool provided, the cable length is easily long enough for any sized car. Setting it up was very easy too because the app allows you to see what the camera is seeing. The GPS, if you choose to switch it on, appears to be very accurate. Overall it's a great bit of tech for your car. I recommend it highly.

Not actually true 4K..
Good bits: some good functions for the price point, the app control on a dashcam like this one is so much better than using clunky buttons and a tiny screen to navigate the settings. I like the button that allows you to physically lock a video file quite easily. Electro static film they send with it to allow easy removal is good It came with SD card. Both front and rear cam were also pretty easy to install and get up and running. Bad bits: Now on to the more critical end of my review. This dashcam kit/the description is misleading regarding video quality. The video quality is reasonable, and probably good for the price point (although yet to test the dashcam at night and how it performs there), however, I questioned the '4K' claim when I first exported footage as it just didn't quite look 4k (I played from good spec PC connected to full 4k Monitor in 4K capable software). In the settings I have it set to 4k+FHD, so ie, 4K for the main front camera and Full HD for the rear cam/1080P. However, upon exporting footage and not being convinced.. I checked the actual resolution in the file info of the exported files from both, the rear and front camera. The rear is accurate, it says FHD in the settings on the camera and the video file info on pc shows as 1920x1080. However, the front camera which is supposedly the '4K' cam, different story, upon checking the exported file the dimensions/resolution of the video is 3200x1800. This is not true '4K' So, the '4k' claim is misleading I should note that I first exported the footage using the app, so to give the benefit of the doubt, I then put the SD card directly in to my pc to check the footage there, just in case the app was compressing the exported video resolution. but same result, 3200x1800 for the front camera video. Leaving 3 stars because dash cam's serve purpose overall, but the description is not entirely accurate in my mind as video exports from main camera are not true 4K. It's still probably high enough quality to be good enough though but I will need to test more, I just found the 4k claim misleading..

Outstanding Quality
Outstanding 4K Dash Cam with Excellent Front & Rear Coverage I couldn't be happier with the GKU 4K Dash Cam Front and Rear. From the moment I installed it, I was impressed by the crystal-clear video quality. The front camera captures sharp 4K footage, while the rear camera provides excellent coverage, making it easy to read license plates and capture important details on the road. The wide-angle lenses help eliminate blind spots and provide complete peace of mind while driving. One of my favorite features is the 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. Transferring videos to my phone is quick and hassle-free, and the companion app makes it easy to view, download, and share footage without removing the memory card. The app is intuitive and works smoothly, which is a huge convenience. The night vision performance is excellent. Thanks to the Sony STARVIS sensor, WDR technology, and F1.8 aperture, recordings remain clear even in low-light conditions, making nighttime driving much safer and more secure. I also appreciate the built-in GPS, loop recording, G-sensor emergency protection, and 24-hour parking monitoring features. Knowing that important footage is automatically saved during an incident gives me added confidence whenever my vehicle is parked or on the move. Installation was straightforward, and the included SD card meant I could start using it right away. For the price, this dash cam offers incredible value, combining premium features, reliable performance, and outstanding video quality. If you're looking for a dependable front and rear dash cam with fast 5GHz Wi-Fi, excellent night vision, and sharp 4K recording, the GKU is an easy 5-star recommendation.

Activate flight mode on your phone & disconnect your car WIFI to connect to the dashcam WIFI
I purchased the dash cam, and it was delivered in 3 days. It's a very attractive unit, small and lightweight. The installation is easy. Hiding all the wiring behind panels and rubber door seals is easy. It's best to watch a few YouTube installation videos first. I placed the power cable up around the passenger foot well behind the glove box and brought it out to the cigarette lighter in the center console. All the cabling is hidden except the cigarette lighter plug and a few centimeters of cable. I used the electrostatic stickers on the front and back windows and stuck the cameras to the stickers. The electrostatic stickers are too large, and I cut them down to size first. Using the stickers makes it easier, in the future, to remove the cameras. Just peel off the sticker with the camera attached. The only tricky part is choosing where to mount the front camera making sure the camera is out of the driver's field of vision, level and pointing straight forward. I mounted the front camera on the passenger side at the top of the windscreen next to the rear vision mirror. I mounted the rear camera in the center, top of the rear window. The phone app works well except you need to put your phone into flight mode otherwise it interferes with the app. I had to disconnect from my home WIFI and car WIFI to make it work. The dashcam has its own 5.8Ghz WIFI which is reasonably fast for downloading. The images from the rear camera are 1080p and very good. The front camera images can be 1080p, 2.5K or 4K. You can set the videos to be 1, 3 or 5 minutes long. The default one minute video time is ok. I have trouble running the 4K images on my phone, but they run well on my computer using the free VLC media player. The standard Microsoft media player won't run the 4K videos. However, I'm not finding much difference between the quality of 2.5K and 4K so I will just use 2.5K to save memory space on the 64GB micro-SD card provided. That will give me more video time. I have only been using the dashcam for one week, but I am very happy with the product and price.

A Reliable Companion on the Road
I recently purchased the GKU Dash Cam Front and Rear Camera, and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. Not only does this dash cam deliver exceptional image quality—capturing clear footage both day and night—but the customer service experience truly sets it apart. First and foremost, the installation process was a breeze. The device comes with comprehensive instructions and all the necessary accessories, making it easy to set up in my vehicle. The video quality is impressive, with a wide-angle view that captures everything happening on the road. The night vision feature is also noteworthy, providing clear recordings even in low-light conditions. However, what really stood out to me was the customer service I received after deciding to reach out with a few questions about the device. The support team responded promptly to my inquiry, providing detailed answers and helpful tips that made my user experience even better. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff went above and beyond to ensure I felt confident using the dash cam. Moreover, they offer a generous warranty policy, which gives me peace of mind knowing that I am covered in case of any issues. It’s evident that GKU values its customers, taking the time to ensure satisfaction well beyond the point of sale. Overall, I highly recommend the GKU Dash Cam to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly device. With excellent video quality and outstanding customer service, it’s a worthwhile investment for protecting yourself on the road.

Great Value for Money
Installation was very easy, even for someone with little technical knowledge. I followed a few YouTube videos from other users and had it set up quickly. The dashcam is compact and doesn’t block my view, but the video quality is very clear for both day and night driving. Connecting to the app and downloading videos to my phone was simple, and I was able to save clips easily. Overall, this dashcam works well and offers great value for money. Highly recommended.
