October skies in Texas tend to become clear at night so one can observe the moon. The heat causes tree leaves to fall, and at times, moonbeams make the leaves look silverish gray as the wind gently blows. The holidays all have something to do with dark and light but primarily light so surreal vision of a purple moon captured by an earth Tree in a moment of time to get permission. I usually use oil paint, but I wanted to try acrylic painting. The kit gives you about everything to paint but not to prep. A close look will show some white specks of canvas. Might want to add some gesso to cover the canvas (let it dry) before doing an acrylic paint, and the tube paint will last a lot longer since the canvas absorbs much of it. It has a good array of paints for use, it is easy to put a dab on the easel for use, and the paint color can be tinted and hued with white or black, and gradients are possible with other color techniques. I chose not to sketch the art on it, but to paint directly. Acrylic dries fast, so either work fast or put in an allowed liquid that slows the drying process down if you want to do detailed work or blend on the canvas itself. An extra white tube would be grand so as to access more colors. The black with only a dot can shade another color quickly. Played with the white dotting for texture, then took a tissue and patted to get a more subtle effect. Blending blue teal with light gray made late evening light grass tones appealing and suitable for highlighting the tree limbs as well. Have some liquid nearby for the brush refreshment because the acrylic will dry fast on the brush and clump it. For a kit, it's a good arrangement with several types of brushes and knife tools, plus it's good to have some canvas to play with. Enjoyed the art excursion immensely, and purple moons do occur in nature but are rare. Picture with only the painting is a cropping of what it would appear when I put a frame on it (always changes it a bit by framing it)

I love all the tools that come with this paint kit, but please do know that the paints themselves are very small.

I got this painting set for my daughter, and she has been loving it! As a starter artist kit, it’s fantastic—everything she needs is included, making it easy for her to dive right in. The variety of tools and colors has kept her busy exploring different styles and techniques. I’m not sure about the paint quality for professional use, but for her purposes, it’s working wonderfully. This kit is a great option for budding artists who want a well-rounded set to learn and experiment with.

This is a very small (tabletop) set, which is actually nice because we don’t have a big space to setup for our kids to paint. However, this is a great set for kids (my son loved it) to use at the table for some small paintings. He has been enjoying Bob Ross and learning to paint, so this was a nice setup to move to the next level. Nice assortment of paints, and a couple surfaces to work with.

This is a nice little kit that I picked up in an effort to get back into learning to paint. It has basically everything you need to get started the day it arrives! Would make an excellent gift for someone starting out or an at home paint party!

IF YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW IS EVEN BETTER. YOU GET 36 TUBES OF ACRYLIC PAINT. THIS IS NOT PAINT BY NUMBERS. YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR OWN THING. START WITH A SMALL IDEA. OR EVEN READ UP ON HOW TO PAINT. THIS IS A REALLY NICE SET.
