Good soft case
Works great, plenty of padding, fits my 4 and 5 string basses. Even holds my 35โ scale Peavey. Easy to adjust straps, zippers work well, seems durable with thick material cover.

Nice and sturdy, great soft case.
For being a soft case, it has some nice rigidity to it-- you can hold it out at one end and it won't bend over. Nice padding, and a cool little pocket up by the top of the neck to help hold your instrument in place. The straps are a bit high on the bag to carry this like a backpack, but that's not really a complaint, especially at this price point.

*Bass option* Easily the best soft case for the money. Probably big enough for almost any electric bass.
This is for the "Bass" option. -I own a full scale boutique style 5 string bass guitar(24 frets, 35" scale), and this case fits it perfect. I would venture to say that there are very few electric basses that would not fit in this case. -Feels tough and well constructed. Has extra layers of padding that make it unusually well padded for a soft case, while still being easier to haul around than a hard case. The extra padding at the bottom is a nice touch. -Has a single zip-up pocket on the front, with a netted pouch inside it. The size is reasonable. It would fit a couple small textbooks, a tuner, etc. Nothing crazy, but good for a soft case. Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: -First, the extra padding at the bottom seems to be made of that really soft microfiber stuff. I wish the entire inside of the case was made of that stuff, instead of the nylon. And I'd be willing to pay extra for that. -Second, the shoulder straps seem to be too low. I'm 5'9'', and I have to duck to avoid hitting the top of by bass on doorways. I've tried loosening the straps as far as they'll go, but that creates other problems. IMO the straps ought to have been placed higher on the case, which is a bummer because I was looking forward to being able to backpack my bass around. I still can, of course, but I have to watch out. Not a deal-breaker for me, but worth mentioning. Also this could be a normal problem that I was just not aware of until now. Overall this is a really good case in the realm of soft cases. It raises the bar, while retaining the classic advantages of a soft case(lightweight, takes up less room, etc.) as compared to a hard case.

Great bass gig bag for this price range
Gigged with it for the first time last night. I like that it's compact, rugged and has a good side handle. It has some good padding on the bottom and around the tuners. The pocket is spacious, and has a no-nonsense zipper (unlike some more expensive bags). The only thing I don't like is the adjustable straps to wear it like a backpack are very long and dangle low when carrying. When just using the handle those straps drag on the ground and can be a hazard, so I just cut mine shorter. It's a good bag though and I will be using it regularly.

Excellent Gig Bag-Fits my Stingray
The Stingray has a tuning pegs on both sides, but it fits in this gig back. This is a comfortable gig bag, at that. It is not cheap, but you will not be disappointed with its quality, either!

Great bag for my bass.
Very good. In one hand its protects guitar well, and on the other hand it is not to heavy. The sterps on the back are very comfortable.

Perfect fit, very nice gig bag!
I was worried about the internal size as my Jackson 5 string bass has an unusual shaped head. I checked all the specs from the Gator site and after researching several types I decided on this one. My bass fits perfectly with some room to spare. Zipper is really smooth and bag feels like good quality. So much better than carrying a large hard Case around. There is no support for the neck, but I'm not using it for any major touring or anything, just to take to and from rehearsals and gigs. Very pleased with my purchase. Thank you ๐

Doesn't fit if your tall
Since the straps attach very low on the case, the neck of the bass ends up about 18'' over my head, making it very unpractical to go through doors. I ended up returning it, but quality was satisfactory !

Laughably bad
I've bought several Gator cases over the years and am usually satisfied with the quality of their products. This bass case, however, is just so unbelievably bad that it's quite amazing. Has Gator outsourced the design of their products to an imbecile? The backpack-style straps are designed in such a way that the neck of the bass rises so high that you can't actually walk through a door while carrying it, and there's no other strap that would allow you sling it over your shoulder. For the hefty price tag, the padding is also extremely cheap. After receiving the case, laughing for a moment at how terrible it is, I immediately decided to return it. Will definitely think twice -- and read reviews closely -- before buying anything from Gator again.
