Q: Can travel cards be read whilst kept in the holder?

Yes. I use mine to hold my bus pass and don't need to take it out to tap on the machine so it's always kept in good condition.

Q: How long do they last, how durable are these?? i've gone through so many tfl ones that just melted away in my pocket after a coule of months.

Had mine for a few months and the design is still very much in tact and not faded
