So far I've only used this with chicken. It was awesome. We sous vide bone in chicken thighs, then de-bone them. Then put the meat and juices in the pot with all the other fully cooked ingredients. Then barely simmer everything for a few minutes together. Sriracha and chili garlic paste on the side! Serve over rice or noodles if you like. Just follow the directions, you can't go wrong. Everything about it, texture, taste etc really is delicious! Can't wait to try it with other meat and seafood! Just make sure you don't over cook your meat. I would call this mild, not medium or hot. I put a little cayenne pepper in mine because we like a little higher heat level. For the price, this is an excellent way to stretch a dollar. It's a great value. I love this stuff and I hope they don't raise the price!

This is extremely easy to use, and very tasty. I bought "medium" this time, but for people with a good tolerance for spices, the "hot" is fine. It really is not very hot.I love the warm flavors, which go with pork, ground beef, or chicken very nicely.

I didn't season the meat, thinking the salt from the roux would be enough. Big mistake. Definitely season your meat before searing it for the recipe on the box. I highly recommend this for the texture and taste, though "medium hot" is a total lie, this stuff has almost no heat.After having made this a couple times I got a bit bored of the taste. Abandoning the traditional Japanese flavor, I now like start with 1tbps oil and 1tbsp butter. I sear my meat (which I now salt and pepper) and then add the onions. When they are translucent, I add the rest of the vegetables. In addition to what's on the box, I like to add 2 roughly chopped tomatillos as well. When the time comes to add the water, I also add some chili powder, red pepper, and cilantro. Lastly, after adding the roux, I also add 1/4 cup of heavy cream, and it makes all the difference. I had to double the meat just so I could cram this into my diet because it's just that good. Try it!!Macros for my recipe, with 2lbs chicken breast (8 servings): 281kcal, 28g P / 10g F / 18g C

I purchased Golden Curry on the recommendation of my daughter. I chose the medium-hot version thinking it would be spicy, but the heat level was nearly non-existent. Both my husband and daughter like spicy foods, and I'm generally happy with less spice. I would try the hot version next time, and the medium-hot was not spicy at all!This product is simple to use and perfect for beginning cooks, or anyone who wants an easy-to-make dish that can be tailored to fit your tastes. I used chicken breast, bell pepper, onion, celery, zucchini, and mushrooms in my dish, following the directions on the side of the box. It was good, but needed salt (in my opinion). I added the required 2 cups plus 1/4 cup of water, and I would use 2 cups next time to give the dish more depth of flavor.The curry was as pictured on the box, and it thickened in the last 5 minutes of cooking, and as it cooled a bit. I served it with rice, and my family enjoyed it. I would make it again and recommend it to those who enjoy mild Japanese curry or are looking to enjoy quick, easy, comfort food.NOTE: For those worried about the lead warning, I'm told by my daughter who studied Japanese and spent time in Japan, that is very common as a warning on products imported from Japan. I'm not worried, but as others have mentioned - it is on the label.

Delicious, makes for a quick and healthy weeknight dinner that the kids love too. If you have some veggies (carrots, potatoes, onions) and some chicken (chopped up), make some rice too, and you’ll have a full dinner in 30 minutes.

Reminds me of the curry sauce when I was stationed in Iwakuni Japan.
