I love this crimper! I have very thick and long hair and curls never hold in my hair. Curling irons never work, once I finish with one side the other side would already be flat. I tried curlers, which could never hold all my hair and i tried curling with the flat iron and again would just fall out flat. This crimper stayed wavy until the next morning! I did it in sections and the 6 second timer, gave me perfect waves. It’s easy to use and heats up fast. The quality feels sturdy and well made. I’m so happy I finally found something that works on my hair, and this a good price. When looking at crimper’s in other stores they were pricey. Definitely this was a winner!

I have short, color-treated, medium to fine hair. On my first attempt at using the tool (hair unwashed) I found it was very easy to use and worked really well. It heats up quickly, and creates soft, beachy waves, which added some volume to my hair. It seems well made, with a clear digital display and buttons inside the handle so you don't accidentally touch them. It also locks and has a built-in wrap for the power cord.

100% recommend . It’s quite easy to use , the timer helps prevent burnt hair , plus my hair seems to hold the wave for multiple days . Heats up fast and efficiently , haven’t burned myself once & that says A LOT (just don’t start too close to your head ) 10/10

There weren’t much reviews from black women with pictures on this item so I took a gamble. I have 4A hair texture and I used the 1 inch waver/crimper after already having my hair straightened for a week and just wanted to add some waves/texture to change it up. After reading reviews I didn’t want to turn the temp up too high. I achieved the look in the picture using the 300 temperature setting for a 10 second hold. I would have liked more pronounced waves and had to go over some sections more than once and probably could have turned the heat higher to prevent having to go over a few sections but didn’t want to damage my hair. Now it did work. But it still gave that “flat iorn” smell other reviews have mentioned and I just used some olaplex oil after I was finished and it help with the smell and the next day the smell was completely gone. CONS: I will say that the timer is iffy didn’t always sound after 10 seconds, the waver itself could open up wider to make it easier to grab sections, and it sometimes snags hairs between the plates and plastic body of the waver PROS: timer (when working- worked most of the time), quick heat, easy to handle, works for 4A hair texture, only took 15 mins to do whole head (I have thin hair), has rubber guards/grips on the edge of the iron so you don’t burn your fingers and they act as grips so the iron doesn’t slide on the counter or burn it (this was a nice touch). All in all, I do like it and will continue to use it

Love this hair waver!!! My hair is fine and straight and doesn’t usually hold a style. It held all day and even sleeping on it during a nap. It is fairly easy to use, it takes a little longer to style my hair, but I am guessing it will get faster as I use it more. The auto off has a safety is nice, it is a little heavy and is pretty average cost when compared to others. .

I like how well this device works. I just worry about the damage. It’s doing to my hair. I used.Oribe heat setting spray before crimping. I f that using small sections works best and I can do my entire head (which also includes extensions) within 10 minutes. As for lasting ability, my extensions held the crimp wave very nicely however, my natural hair had to be redone the next day.

Amazing tool, Game changer is correct. I love using this, It heats automatically to 360 but does go up higher. I usually use it on 320 though. When using, when clamped on hair it beeps after 8 seconds which I find great so my hair is curled/made wavy perfectly together. I straightened my hair for years bc it’s naturally curly but now this helps my hair so much bc I do wear extensions put in at a salon and the extensions were straight so this tool works great on my hair. I use the TYMO heat protectant with it as well. Definitely a 10/10 !!! Buy it and for the price, you can’t beat that!!

Ho acquistato questa piastra TYMO nella versione da 32 mm perché cercavo uno strumento che mi permettesse di ottenere onde morbide, naturali e lucenti, senza gonfiare ulteriormente i miei capelli (che sono già molto spessi, folti e tendenti al crespo). Dopo aver confrontato diversi modelli, questo mi è sembrato il miglior compromesso tra qualità e prezzo, e confermo di essere rimasta molto soddisfatta. Impressioni iniziali: La confezione è curata e il ferro è esteticamente molto bello (il rosa è davvero elegante!). È leggero e maneggevole, e il display LED rende tutto super intuitivo: basta regolare temperatura e timer, e lui ti segnala quando è il momento di spostarti alla ciocca successiva. Easy. Uso e prestazioni: Ho i capelli spessi, lunghi fino alle spalle, naturalmente mossi e con tanto volume. Ho usato la piastra a 180°C con un tempo di posa di 4-5 secondi: il risultato è stato esattamente ciò che volevo, cioè onde ampie, naturali, effetto “beach waves” ma più ordinate (come si vede nella foto). Tempo totale: 10/15 minuti — un record per me, visto che di solito con altri strumenti impiego almeno mezz’ora. Già dalla prima volta ho capito bene come usarla. Durata: Le onde mi sono durate fino al lavaggio successivo, cioè quasi una settimana (i miei capelli non si sporcano facilmente). Non ho usato spray fissante, solo un velo di olio per separare meglio le onde e ammorbidire un po’ la piega. Chi desidera una tenuta ancora più duratura può ovviamente usare un fissante. Consigli pratici d’uso: • Non partire troppo vicino alla radice. • Dopo la prima onda, riposiziona la piastra seguendo l’onda precedente, per ottenere un effetto continuo e uniforme. • Per un look più spettinato e naturale, apri le onde con le dita o con un po’ d’olio leggero. Piccolo difetto (personale): Su capelli molto crespi come i miei, si sviluppa molto vapore durante l’uso. È una cosa che mi succede anche con altri strumenti, quindi penso sia legata al fatto che i miei capelli trattengono molta umidità. Nulla di preoccupante, ma lo segnalo. In conclusione: Una piastra veloce, efficace e intuitiva, che consiglio soprattutto a chi cerca onde naturali. Funziona anche su capelli difficili come i miei e, se durerà nel tempo, potrebbe diventare il mio prodotto preferito in assoluto. Speriamo che regga il confronto (per durata) con la mia amata piastra GHD!
