A transformative purchase.
I'm a convert. I have been making pizzas for years and this was the first steel I'd ever used. It instantly transformed the quality of my pizzas, giving them a lovely crispy base and airy crust. The 14x12" steel fit nicely into my oven with room to spare. I have made 4 perfect 12" pizzas since purchase and I'm very happy with the results. It's a bit pricey, but if you enjoy making pizza and want them to be the best they could possibly be, it's entirely worth the money. It's easy to clean and maintain and, since it's just a piece of steel, it's virtually indestructible.

Helps make a nice and crispy pizza
I bought this to make pizza at home in my fan forced oven. It takes a while to heat to but retains the heat well, it’s nice and heavy, and creates nice crispy pizza bases. I more leave it in my oven all the time as it has the added benefit of helping with the consistency of the temperature.

Great pizza steel for perfect pizzas
Bought this to replace my pizza stones which, after a few years of use, are getting more stained and starting to look unattractive (albeit they are clean). This beast is very heavy but heats up and cleans up brilliantly. Also seems to cook my pizza quicker than my pizza stones. A little expensive but overall I think it will last for years and will stay looking new for a long time as it’s easier to clean than the pizza stones. Just make sure to clean it thoroughly then dry properly so it doesn’t rust. To ensure I’ve dried it completely I put it into a warm oven to dry completely. Would recommend.

The Nokia 3310 of pizza baking
After my pizza stone decided to dramatically retire into a hundred pieces, I upgraded to this steel beast. Built like it could survive a nuclear winter, and produces pizza bases that would make an Italian nonna proud. Heats up like a dream and maintains temperature better than my stone ever did. Ten pizzas in, and every single base has been perfectly crispy - no more soggy middle syndrome. Worth every penny, just don't drop it on your foot.

Amazing!
Amazing product. Yes it's expensive but the crust comes out so much more crispy than when using a pizza stone! It's pre-seasoned so there's no sticking (and no issues using a metal peel). I just wiped it down after use and seasoned it with some carbon steel seasoning oil. Can't wait to make more pizza!

Does what it's supposed to
Super heavy, fits well into oven. Gets marked after some uses but doesn't affect use. Easy to clean.

Der Chef Pomodoro Backstahl hat mich absolut begeistert und meine Pizzaback-Ergebnisse auf ein neues Level gehoben! Die Maße von 41 x 34 cm passen perfekt in meinen Ofen, und die Dicke von 0,6 cm sorgt dafür, dass der Stahl die Wärme hervorragend speichert und gleichmäßig abgibt. Dadurch wird der Boden wunderbar knusprig – fast wie in einem professionellen Pizzaofen. Besonders toll finde ich, dass der Stahl nicht nur für Pizza geeignet ist, sondern auch für Brot und andere Teigwaren. Die Reinigung ist kinderleicht: Nach dem Abkühlen einfach abwischen und abtrocknen. Ein kleiner Tipp: Es dauert ein paar Minuten länger, den Backstahl aufzuheizen, aber das Ergebnis ist die Geduld definitiv wert. Ich kann den Chef Pomodoro Backstahl allen Hobby-Bäckern wärmstens empfehlen – ein absolutes Must-have für perfekte Pizza zuhause! 🍕

I have to admit it, I was skeptical! But after trying the 16x13 pizza steel tonight, I’m sold. It took my pizza game to the next level. This steel is perfect, nice weight, and the seasoning is good - no stickings, and a perfect cook crust.

Works well! Oven was 300 degrees celcius, pre-heated the oven for 50-ish minutes before cooking the pizza

La compré sin saber muy bien si me iba a gustar y la verdad es que noto un gran cambio en las pizzas, al tener un horno normal pues no coge mucha temperatura, con esto la masa se hace muy bien y sube que era lo que le faltaban a mis pizzas, una gran compra.

The steel is properly seasoned and the size is excellent for pizzas of all sizes. One star deducted because mine came damaged with a small but deep chip right in the middle. Now for me to return it I have to cancel my weekend pizza plans..
