Quantek Roller Shutter & Roll Up Garage Door Remote Control - RC1000

I bought this unit based on other customers feedback. I had the old unit off and this replacement fitted and working in around half an hour. It works fine and has good range. I never really paid attention to the picture of the unit or I would have noticed there are no buttons to operate the door without using the remote controls. I generally enter the garage via a side door and the old unit had buttons to operate the shutter which was convenient. I can see this becoming an irritation in the coming months when I go to my garage forgetting the remote. If there is a seperate button unit that could be fitted as an extra I would be very interested.

Hi ,received the unit and works just but unfortunately one of the transmitters does not work , have sent it back some 3 weeks ago following a conversation with them but as yet have not received a replacement yet.

I moved into a house that has a roller garage door and had a remote until installed, but the previous owner had lost the remote and the company that made it had gone out of business. After much research I found this until, delivery was fast and the instructions clear. The remotes function well with a good range, I got a rocker switch and light wired in as well, very pleased with it. Couple of minor points, with all the wiring needed an extra hole or two in the unit would be a good idea and the pcb board on mine covered two of the 4 mounting holes, neither of which are a huge issue, just minor inconvenience, hence the 4 stars.

After helpful advice from other users, I bought this product and within an hour it was fixed to the wall and wired in, functioned and works great - what a fantastic piece of technology. Recommended 5*.

Great item.... ordered when our current unit faulted.... thought it was going to be problematic to get the automatic door working again - proved wrong with this unit... working within 30mins with two new keys fully programmed....

Fantastic!!! Bought this to replace a faulty unit that had been supplied with our roller door some years ago and I have to say what a buy, our garage is som 50 metres line of sight from our front door and the control unit is situated in the garage which is made of shuttered concrete some eight inches thick and the signal still reaches and activates without an issue, I highly recommend this product (I have nothing to do with the company) it's certainly not the cheapest but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for.
