This moisturiser hydrates really well and I like that it includes SPF 20 for everyday protection from the sun. The texture is quite rich, so some people might find it a bit thick at first, but used sparingly it absorbs easily and doesn’t feel greasy. The fresh citrus scent is pleasant without being overpowering. Overall, a very good daily moisturiser with the bonus of built-in SPF.

I’ve struggled to find a moisturiser that doesn't leave my face looking shiny or greasy. Rock Face claims to have a "matte" finish, and it actually delivers. Texture & Feel: The cream is quite thick coming out of the tube but absorbs into the skin almost instantly. Within about 60 seconds, my skin felt dry to the touch (in a good way) rather than sticky. It works well post-shave to calm down razor burn. The Scent: The smell is fresh and citrusy—definitely masculine, but not overpowering. It smells "clean" rather than like a heavy cologne. It fades after about 30 minutes, which I prefer as it doesn't clash if I want to wear actual aftershave. Value: You only need a pea-sized amount for your whole face, so this tube lasts a long time. Pros: Non-Greasy: True matte finish, no shine. Soothing: Helps with post-shave irritation. Scent: Pleasant and subtle. Cons: SPF: It contains SPF, which is great for protection, but be careful not to rub it too close to your eyes or it can sting a little later in the day. Verdict: A solid, no-nonsense daily moisturiser for men who hate the feeling of heavy creams.

Comes out thick but is easy to cover your face with. I like the fact it has SP20 and feel it helps against harsh weather also. This is now my go to option for moisturiser.

A great moisturiser but feels a bit greasy on the face

Great product, easy to absorb, not to greasy, with a nice subtle smell.

I bought this as it was cheaper than the Bulldog and Mancave alternatives, and still vegan (I'm not vegan, but I don't believe in harming animals for cosmetics). I get moisturiser with SPF, as protection from UV is the only anti skin method that has strong evidence of long term efficacy on human skin. (Many other anti aging ingredients are either skin tighteners, which quickly wear off, or ingredients that can't actually penetrate through the epidermis to give the benefit they claim, and which can only be observed in skin cells in a Petri dish.) Consistency wise it is quite thick, but it absorbs just fine as long as I don't use to much, and I don't find it greasy on my skin. The tube opening is quite small, so it is harder to squeeze from the tube than it needs to be. Scent wise, it is more classic/barber shop than the more opulent smell of Bulldog and Mancave products, but not unpleasant. Knowing that some people have had a skin reaction to this product, I did a patch test before applying it all over my face (a wise thing to do with any new face cream), but my skin didn't reach to it at all. It was on offer for a fiver when I bought it, and at this price I would but it again, but at full price it completes with Bulldogs SPF moisturiser, which I prefer.
