Apple is asking 70$ plus tax for a device that has half of the functionality of this device . I am done paying them my good money just because they provide white shiny plastic that is made in chine for 1$.The adapter I purchased here - cost much less , work great and provide MUCH MORE than apple. I like the extra USB ports and the HDMI that works perfect ... and the extra ports for the camera memory cards are just awesome.I recommend and surely buy another one soon to have it in my office as well. thanks!

I don't mind the packaging not being so delicate, but it shouldn't be like this: unknown black dirt on the foam and the cable of the hub put under the foam like it is pre-owned. Besides, there is a scratch on the hub, right in the middle of the logo, which really makes me think that it is not brand new.As for the hub itself, the USB3.0 and the HDMI ports are fine, but I haven't tested the card readers.UDPATE:After being connected to a monitor with this hub using an HDMI cable for a while, my MacBook became very warm, and the hub became hot. The image on the monitor is stable but I decided not to use it anymore. I am not some electrical expert but my old mid15 MacBook Pro's port does not get this hot when I used an HDMI cable, and I believe that this hub drained much electric current from the USB C port and thus heated up, which is probably the reason why other parts of my MacBook heated up, too. I haven't compared this product with other USB C hubs so I don't know if this happens to all USB C to HDMI converters, but for the safety of my laptop as well as other peripherals, I decided to return it.UPDATE 2:I purchased another USB C hub on Amazon, and that one doesn't overheat, which has the same types and numbers of ports like this one. I tried using HDMI connection to stream 1080p video and, in addition, a USB3.0 hard drive for Time Machine back up, so the system was using a lot of memory and became warm. As a result, the new hub is just a bit warmer than the old mid2015 MacBook pro's HDMI port and much cooler than this one. Therefore, I believe that this USB C hub overheats because of its design, and a hub that overheats consumes more energy and thus will reduce the battery life when the laptop is not connected to a power source. Since a USB C hub is going to be used with one's laptop for a long time, I highly suggest paying a bit more money to get a decent one, for the safety of many peripherals and the laptop itself.

I bought this product for my son. He is very satisfied with the operation of the product. My son's laptap had no USB ports but two type C ports . So .
For a very reasonable price I got a very easy to use product that does everything I needed to e land my port options. I can connect multiple accessories while working and that’s exactly what I was looking for.
I don't need too many ports and all the powerful extras that other professional-grade docks provide. and works great.

doesn’t work anymore... cord was always slightly broke.

I ordered it and I didn't know it is going to be so tiny. it was perfect because you have everything you need for your mac and you can hide it in your pocket when you move from one room to another. The other one I got before was way too big so I had to use a different case just for the adapter. good value for the money

The moment I've connected my tablet to the hub I had the ability to add other USB devices (keyboard, mouse, disk on key), also the ability to send almost immediatly my SLR cammera photos I took through the SD Card Reader via WiFi. The device is also small, so I just leave it in my beg and forget about that it's even there. Totally recommanded !!!

Was excited to try it out, however I ended up extremely disappointed.The USB-C connections are very loose. I have a 2017 Macbook Pro, and the male and female connection on the hub aren't designed very well. Slight movements of the hub results in temporary disconnection. This is unacceptable especially during DJing. My sound card is connected to the hub, and results in music cutting out and sometimes causing the program to freeze.Maybe I got a lemon, but I will be returning it.
