Positives: the design is so pretty! The colors are vivid and the grip is GREAT. I knew this was a 4mm mat which is 2mm thinner than the average yoga mat so I was not expecting a cushy mat (although I feel like I could use it alone). I was planning to use for balance poses and /or on top of my 6mm mat for a little extra cushion for Yin. The problem is the awful chemical smell. It is so strong I couldn’t use it. After one minute the smell was choking me. It did come wrapped in plastic packaging so I am hoping after a couple days it will air out and the smell will disappear. I will update my review about the odor. UPDATE: I put the mat out on my patio chair for one day in the sun, let it sit overnight and by morning the smell was completely GONE! I LOVE THIS MAT!

I am absolutely obsessed. The product came wrapped super neat. Its made with a thick non-slip material that's very comfortable. I love love love the design. Its much longer than I expected too. I've used it quite a bit and it has not failed me yet. I will now forever vouch for this brand.

Great mat! Thin enough to do balance poses, but thick enough that floor work is not uncomfortable. It doesn't slide around on hardwood or laminate floors and my hands don't slide on the mat either. I took one star off because the end does curl. I have tried rolling the other direction, placing flat under something heavy, and not rolling it up at all. The end still rolls under an inch or so. Still usable, just an annoyance. Also, it did have a strong odor when I first got it, but an afternoon in the sun and the smell was gone.

It’s skinny, but it gets the job done. I wouldn’t use this for Pilates since you’d need a much thicker mat for that, but for yoga or light stretches it’s really really great!

I think this Matt is a great choice for someone that is just getting into yoga. It doesn’t slip. It looks good. It falls up nice I like it.

The 4mm thickness gives it just the right amount of cushion for my knees and wrists without feeling like I’m bouncing on memory foam. Plus, it lays flat immediately after unrolling—no dramatic corners trying to curl up and sabotage my poses. And when I’m done? It rolls up easily like a good little mat and goes right into the corner until our next stretching saga. Bonus points: it’s PVC-free and free of nasty chemicals, which makes me feel even better about doing breathwork on it and not, you know, breathing in toxic fumes while trying to relax. So if you’re looking for a mat that’s cute, comfy, affordable, and not secretly trying to gas you—this one’s a winner. The Pink Marrakesh print alone might be enough to convince you, but it turns out this mat is beauty and brains. Namaste to that. 🙏✨

The yoga Matt is very good I used it many times and I definitely feel I can be relaxed and comfortable in a regular simple yoga meditation poses , i am not experienced at all and I have limited mobility only to do basic

I absolutely love this yoga mat.it is so beautiful&stylish!! It's soft and sticky(in a good way) when I use it my yoga class.the down side was a little rubber smell in the first few day so you have to use it more often then!delivery was quick in a good condition,over all 10/10 well done!! Also recommend to anyone.Will buy again when this one finish,thanks

It’s a good mat. A lot thinner than my other Gaiam mat but I’m liking how lightweight it is. Not sliding on it either :)

I'm delighted with my 4mm Gaiam Yoga mat. I took up Bikram Yoga 12 months ago, and was using an old mat I'd had for years which in hindsight is average quality. The change in quality and enjoyment to using this Gaiam mat is massive. Stability, gripier, easier to clean, rolls tightly yet never curls at the ends when laid flat again (been using it about a month now). It's just really good quality and makes my Yoga practice even more enjoyable. And the design I chose is meaningful too.
