LG Electronics BP340 Blu-Ray Disc Player with Built-in Wi-Fi (2014 Model)

Have played a Blu-Ray disc, a DVD, and an MP4 file (burned onto a DVD-R). Good quality video in all cases. The small height of this Blu-Ray player was important to me because of the cramped space where it had to fit. Have not tested its Wi-Fi function yet, but I have a smart TV and don't anticipate needing that function. It should be mentioned that I had to re-order this player. The first player I received via the USPS had been heavily banged around, and the player was damaged. The re-ordered player arrived safe and sound.

Not only does it flawlessly play both region 1 and 2 DVDs as well as A and B Blu rays, but it also plays Netflix and movies from my home network drive. So far, I have found no glitches. Its small too, which is a plus. Just an HDMI going out and the network connection is via WIFI. This replaces our need for a lot of devices. No need for a Chromecast or other such HDMI dongle...

Works fine, good picture with both DVD & Blu-ray. Very good for the price (on sale before Christmas for about $40). I don't use Netflix so can not comment on streaming with them as others have, but it performs well streaming with youtube. The only thing I am not fond of is the remote is a bit small for my preference, the only reason I gave it 4 stars. It has done well over its 1st month.

Came quickly, great product, exactly as described. I had duplicated the order by mistake and realized it before shipped. Sent an email to vendor and worried wouldn't be read in time. I received a reply within 30 minutes and they had it corrected and taken care of promptly. Very impressed.

When arrived had a huge gouge out of the corner. When plugged in and turns on... takes about 30 seconds before the on button comes on. Aka: TAKES a LONG time to start, and open the dvd. Also, husband and i put on dvd, and the things was glitches the whole time. It was not the disc. Couldn't of been. It was like blocky glitches. Will never by used electronics again. Its just the time you invest in buying, having to send back and wait for another. When with technology with it being used(your always taking a chance at the problem reoccuring)

Gees, can they make these things any smaller?? This is the third LG BluRay player that I own. They work well with LG TVs, automatically linking the two when you turn on the player. The player is wireless. Period. Its the only option for hooking up to the internet. My home has a wireless router and it was the way I planned on using the internet functions. Hooking up to the home network was relatively straight forward. You have to use an on-screen keypad but it works fine. Installing the player was easy, plug it in using an HDMI cable (sold separately) and supply power and you're done. I guess the size limits the unit to the one HDMI port, no other option for connection to a TV. Now for the reasons it only gets 3 stars. 1) there is this miniscule light on the front to tell you that the unit is on and if it isn't aimed right at you it can't be seen. 2) The software. Most of the time we use the unit to stream Netflix content and the selection software is a lot different then what's on the other two players I have. I don't know if the software is supplied by Netflix or LG but it isn't as good as the older software. Instead of the opening screen containing the instant queue it opens up with a list of what's most popular on Netflix, then New on Netflix, etc. The graphics are better, but I would prefer an easier way to get to my queue. Not user friendly.
