This stuff is great mixed in with soil when I plant in the ground or in pots. Just don’t add too much or you’ll be scooping slime out! I just mix it in elsewhere when that happens. Also, beware as the lid does not fit all that securely and I accidentally tipped the tub over with my foot in the grass. I scooped up all the dry crystals I could, about 1/3 of the tub! After the next rain, I had a massive clean up of clear jel, which was soon dirty as I scraped it out of the grass and ground and put it in about 3 small buckets. I’ll be scooping out of those for a while! Great moisture retention!!

I add this product to everything I plant. It is odorless and non toxic. The application is easy, and it is extremely helpful for holding water at root level. A little goes a long way, and 5 lb is a great investment.

Product works great, and easy to use. especially for containers. Simply add to water in a bucket, stir it up and let it expand and sit for 10 minutes, ready to use. Mix in with your soil to keep moist. I highly recommend this product !

Use these to water my bug colonies! Works well, They enjoy it.

So far so good. I mixed it with some quality soil and a slow release fertilizer. Im located in south Georgia, so we'll see if this helps retain water when it's 110 degrees. Some plants are in pots and some are in the ground. I added a little miracle grow to the water then added the crystals. I will update my review after growing season is over.

Make sure you hydrate BEFORE adding to your garden beds. I hydrated a TBSP and it turned into a gallon. It was enough for everything I had. I will have plenty for years to come.
