Amazing! Installation was easy and the price can’t be beat!
This film works very well for reducing solar heat transfer into your living space. I just installed 4 rolls in about 2 hours on 7 windows. The film is thin, but sturdy. In fact it will not tear so you must cut it carefully. I suggest using a sharp utility knife. The Included knife works but it’s flexible. I found a utility knife worked best with a fresh blade. You will notice that it appears dimmer looking outside through the film. the film is crystal clear and you can see very well. I recorded about a 20 degree difference on the floor between the filtered light from a window I had installed the film on and from one I had not yet installed. That alone is proof that this will help reduce cooling costs. You will notice the glass becomes hotter to the touch after installation as it’s absorbing some heat as it’s reflecting much of the solar radiation. Installation: use a lot of water with a little dish soap. Go slow and over size your cut. Once it’s on, squeegee it slightly to keep it in place. Carefully cut the film using a credit card to push the film tight to the window frame and glass as a guide. Once cut exactly to size slowly squeegee all bubbles out. Occasionally look at a steep angle to see bubbles. Slowly press them all out. Repeat. Slow is good and stress free!

Great product, does exactly what I needed it to do
I bought these for my entire house as the front and back have a tremendous amount of light and heat coming in, also for privacy. They cut down about 2°f-3°f as well as almost all the glare from walls and surfaces (I can actually watch TV without the glare lol). The house does a better job at staying cool as well, it looks like the sunsets and raise about 2 hours earlier/later is the best way I can describe it and it actually gets cold (which in May in Texas is huge) My significant other is actually able to sleep in now as well on her days off which is a big win as well. I’ll have to compare in a few months what the difference is in my bills. The privacy is also a huge bonus, my front door has a window and that allows people to see all the way to the back of the house and I’ve had solicitors put their face up to the glass numerous times to look in. This almost stop that completely as if they press they’re faces up and cup their face they can still see outlines inside (especially since I have a big window parallel to the door) but that doesn’t happen often at all. My parents liked it so much they had me install the film on their font door as well for the same reasons. You can’t see out at night very well but people can see in so just be aware of that blinds are life savers The only thing I would say during install is use a lot of spray and for bigger pieces have help as it we’ll want to move on you. I’d also recommend getting a credit card a tint tool as it works better then the squeegee provided. Heat guns helps get the excess bubbles out and the help the ends that won’t stay down. Clean the window really well like extremely well, I had a window that unfortunately the previous owner got over spay on when painting and it’s viable on the tint, not what you want. all in all I spent maybe $450 on these films and had minimum issues, time will be the true test on how effective they are. From my research it takes roughly 3-4 years to see a ROI and most films last 6-7 years so we’ll find out then. Definitely a good DIY weekend project.

Not “a little tinted,” but genuinely dark 🕶
The day I put up the Coavas film, the heat wave had already turned the room over the garage into the kind of space you avoid unless absolutely necessary. I walked in, felt that wall of warmth hit me, and thought, okay, this is ridiculous — something has to go on these windows today. The roll looked promising right out of the box. Thick enough to feel sturdy, reflective enough to mean business. And once I held it up to the glass, I realized just how dark it really was. Not a complaint — just one of those moments where you think, I should’ve put this on the top half and used a lighter tint on the bottom. But that’s on me, not the film. Installation was its own little saga. Spray bottle in one hand, squeegee in the other, trying to keep the film from grabbing the glass before I was ready. The static cling made it easier than adhesive films — no glue, no stretching, no panic about bubbles getting trapped forever. It slid around just enough to position it, then locked into place once I pressed it down. The included tools actually helped, which is rare enough to feel like a small victory. By the time I finished smoothing out the last corner, the sun had shifted just enough to hit the window. And that’s when the film showed off. The room didn’t flare up with heat the way it usually does. The air stayed calmer, less aggressive, like the film was holding back the worst of the sun. For a room over the garage in the middle of a heat wave, that’s a big deal. It’s darker than I’d ideally want, but it performs. It cools the room. It doesn’t turn the window into a hot plate. And it’s easy enough to install that I didn’t end the project swearing at the glass. If I redo this window later, I’ll pair this darker film on top with a lighter tint on the bottom — but as far as heat control goes, Coavas earns its spot. Thanks for reading my review—I know there are a million products out there, and I appreciate you taking the time to hear how this one fared 🙂💛

Beautiful and easy to install
Easy to install, if you have two people. It’s just as described in the listing, and we now have the most unique patio door in our complex. My wife loves all the birds. It’s well worth the price, and provides us with privacy, while allowing the light to flow in.

Love it!
Wow! I had this in my closet for about 5 months prior to putting it up bc I was dreading it. I am so glad I did. It looks beautiful. Provided are pictures during the day and night. Of course, it will let light come in, in the daytime but it is completely private. At night time the film is more vivid as you can see in my photos. The installation didn't take too long. The trickiest part was getting the right cut. I did use both scissors and a utility knife (box cutter) but my utility knife didn't glide very well on some spots so I had to take it down and use scissors where the utility knife didn't cut but did make indentions. Tips: First, make sure your window is clean Pill the backing off prior to cutting with a utility knife. It will make it thinner and this, easier to cut. Just let the static cling to the window temporarily as you make your cuts. After you finish cutting, spray windex on your window (a LOT).... and you can easily slide your cut piece in position. Get the bubbles out with a squeegee or credit card. It will last a long time. I have another window film that I've had for a year or longer and still looks as good as the day I applied it. It will also easily peel off and can be reused. I have moved mine around to different windows. I didn't apply it perfectly. I can see many imperfections in my cut if I look close enough but it's good enough for me and gives me my needed privacy while provided a beautiful backdrop. If I want to actually see outside I can either open my window or peel these off and reapply. I won't be peeling these off though as I absolutely love them! (Getting the backing off can be a hassle but it doesn't have to be. I have found that if I put tape on both sides and stick the tape in an X where they meet each other at the top... And then peel the tape apart, the backing easily peels right off.

Blk/silver perfect effect needed to shield brightness from the sun & reflections. Some difficulty applying the film, but it was 1st time using it. Come to realize l should be using a product specifically for double pane windows.

Mostly amazing.
This stuff works really well as far as keeping the heat out. I am on the top floor of my building. There is no shade whatsoever. The morning sun hits one side of my house and the afternoon hits the other and its brutal in the summer. I used to stand in the bathroom and break a sweat from the sun pouring in. There is a tremendous difference now. BUT. Its nearly impossible to get it on without creases and bubbles. Be careful removing the back film, it sticks to itself and its hard to separate once the film is removed. I love that it comes with tools. If it wasnt so hard to get it up without bubbles, id have given it five stars
