I'm using it in the 2 to 1 Config. Works as expected.
I'm using it in the 2 to 1 Config. Works as expected. My older receiver only has one optical input and one coax. I need to add another device with only an optical output to my system. So I plugged in the optical cable on this splitter into my receiver and then plugged in The other two devices. As expected, with both of them plugged in I didn't get any sound. But it's super easy to unplug one of the cables. I thought about getting a splitter with a remote but this does the job. We rarely use the Blu-ray player That I now use the splitter with. On the rare occasion that we watch a Blu-ray, I just need to reach behind the TV and unplug the appropriate optical And I get Dolby digital or DTS with the same quality as if the optical was plugged directly in to the receiver. If your cables are difficult to get to or you use both devices that are plugged in quite often, you will be better off with a splitter that has separate optical out ports that are managed by a remote or switch. But in this particular use case, it was simple and I didn't have to spend an extra 20 bucks on yet another Electronic device and have to go through the process of reprogramming my harmony remote.I haven't tried it in the recommended configuration, but I suspect that it probably works as stated by other reviews.

It works
Had 1 optical coming out of my Sony TV and was already using 1 for my Sonos Playbar. I also wanted to hookup my TV sound to my Whole home audio system and a friend suggested putting an optical splitter on that 1 coming out of the Sony TV. I went to amazon to look and found one that had lots of good reviews and ordered it up. Here's where it get's better. I was assuming that I was only going to be able to use 1 optical at a time, to my surprise both opticals work simultaneously so I can keep the Sonos Playbar on and turn on the Whole home audio system and no delays or sync issues and sound comes out of both. Good product and works as advertised. Very nice!

Device stopped splitting correctly. Price too low to make it worth returning.
I purchased this on Match 22 2019 and it seemed to do its job pretty well for a passive optical splitter. I read the reviews and they convinced me. This is the first device of its kind that I've used - specifically for a sound bar and a pair of Sennheiser wireless RF headphones. It stopped working a week ago. It'll either successfully connect one optical audio feed or the other. Not both. This is the typical behavior of digital feeds. It either works or it doesn't. The actual toslink cables used here have nothing to do with it. No extreme bending, no loose connections and the caps on the cable ends are removed. The cables connected to the 2 outputs are 3ft and I wonder if that's causing issues. Length matters when it comes to these devices but I would sure hope 3ft is within acceptable length. I understand the physical limitations of optical audio. I'll also add that from a visible aspect, I do see optical light flowing through each cable, although weaker than its source. My recommendation: do not purchase a passive optical audio splitter but rather an active one, meaning one that uses an external power source so you don't end up with one weak optical feed versus the other. The 2 feeds resulting from the split are amplified guaranteeing no digital signal loss. Splitting the optical feed should not end up with 2 weaker feeds compared to its source with these. They cost in the low $20 range as of now, from what I'm finding out. That's what I'm going to do so I know I won't be risking this problem with future purchases.I hate giving one star reviews but if the device cannot serve its purpose then it's nothing but a paperweight. Unfortunately this device is not heavy enough to serve as a paperweight.

This is a really good device. And it comes with a lifetime guarantee.
I us the splitter with my TV sound bar and with a specialty device that connects to my hearing aids. The splitter works just fine with the sound bar but I do experience static with the hearing aid device. I don't believe this has anything to do with the splitter. The hearing aid device - a Phonak TVLink - gets audio from the TV via the splitter then rebroadcasts it to my hearing aids via Bluetooth. I think the static issue has something to do with the Bluetooth connection. The sound bar is not impacted at all. Good quality sound from it all the time.Having said all that, the static is not too bad and I can actually distinguish what the individual actors are saying. Something I could not do without the splitter/TVLink. So, all-in-all, I am very pleased with the results. The splitter is a simple set up and works perfectly.

Plug, split and play! Works with soundbar and hearing aid streamer.
We have a Bose Soundbar hooked up (via optical cable) to our TV.My son recently got a streamer for his hearing aids which allow the audio from the TV to stream directly into his hearing aids. Our TV only has one optical connection and the soundbar is using it, so I connected his hearing aid streamer to the rc port. That was sufficient and worked fine, but I was curious if there was such a thing as an optical splitter.Lo and behold I found this and it works. The male optical end of the splitter goes into the tv, and both the soundbar and the hearing aid streamer go into the 2 ports on the splitter. We're no audiophiles, but audio track and video stay in sync and there is no degradation in sound that we can hear.Perfect and easy solution.

Perfect solution for PS4 Slim w/Skullcandy P1
I got a PS4 Slim which doesnโt have an optical audio port, but I had already owned a $200 pair of Skull Candy P1 headset which requires optical audio. Frustrated for more than a year trying to find a way to get use out of my expensive headset, I found this. After figuring out how to connect the audio optical cable from my TV to the headset tower, I was in business...except I had to keep unplugging my cable from my entertainment center and routing to my headset tower. No longer! With this splitter Iโm able to turn on the TV and enjoy the same if not slightly better sound from my surround sound, and then enjoy my headset without anymore hustle. The sound quality is great! You cannot use both devices at the same time (I donโt think). When I want to use my headset, I simply turn off my surround sound and all the sound then goes to my headset, very simple. The splitter securely snapped into the TV and I didnโt need any support like zip ties, this is despite having a thick optical audio cable plugged into one of the two ports (that cable also snapped into the connection socket). Lastly, this splitter is by far the neatest (installation wise) option there is, especially since itโs out of site with minimal connections.

Yes - This works with TV Ears and Soundbar!
I have an LG TV with only one audio output, and it's optical. I have a soundbar from LG that is using the optical output, but needed another output for our new digital TV ears. Our daughter started working a night job, so we need to keep the noise down when watching the TV during the day. I originally tried hooking the TV Ears up directly to the cable box, but there was a delay between the sound and video that I couldn't get used to.This Zexmte Digital Optical Fiber Splitter is a LIFE-SAVER! I connected it to the TV audio out and then connected both the soundbar and the TV Ears to the splitter outputs. PERFECT! I did have to power off/on the TV Ears the first time I hooked up audio because of some static, but that had nothing to do with the splitter. Everything is working great now and I couldn't be happier with this product. True 5-star product.

Mixed Feelings
I bought this so that I could connect my Bose soundbar and Sennheiser wireless headphones to my Samsung TV. The soundbar works without problem but the performance of the headphones is erratic. I get a distorted sound at times and the sound is just not smooth. If I remove the splitter and connect the headphones directly to my TV the sound is great so that makes me believe the problem is with the splitter. There are times when the distortion is low enough to be bearable so I use the headphones but there are times when this is just not possible. I do have an ARC HDMI port on my TV so I may try another route.

Simple and effective.
Very helpful to split the TVs sound signal between our sound bar and a sender to beam the sound via Bluetooth to a family memberโs hearing aids

Easy to install and works great
So easy to install. Plug it in and it works. No programming required. Both the HD TV and my earring aid work off the splitter.I can turn down the volume on the TV and listen to my program on my earring aid system. Great. So easy to install.

Great product
Great product.

Not worth buying
Only one of the ports works after using it for a few days. The quality of the main wire is poor and the head does not look as an optical one.
User
Just works
This splitter just works, had it split the optical signal to different direction and no signal loss!!!
