Great filters, durable and no added taste.

Used with the Kalita Wave dripper, these make for a wonderful, consistent cup of coffee.

These filters fit several third party coffee pour over sets designed for 185 filters. While others make 185 filters, these are the originals. The paper seems pretty thick, but water flows through them just fine. I grind coffee to a size so that my pour over timing is similar to a V60 routine.

There appears to be 2 versions of this product being sold - the original being the “blue text” version, and the second being the one I received - the “green text” version. There’s a few threads on reddit about what the differences could be, but my guess is the green text indicates “FSC Certified” as shown in the photo. I just bought a kalita wave and unfortunately this is my first time using kalita 185 filters so I cannot comment on flow rate, but so far they seem to perform well considering I only have an Ethiopian light roast which makes for a slower drawdown in general.Cafec makes several different filter papers, including a “FSC Certified” one, which have different characteristics and flow rates, but sadly they don’t make wave style filters.Rating 4/5 for the discrepancy; Amazon needs to make a separate listing for the original blue and the new green text. Or vendors should verify which they import or sell.These should do the job, time will tell once I can dial them in though. I’ll likely go elsewhere to buy coffee products especially if they’re imported.

These Kalita #185 filters are sturdy, require minimal rinsing, and consistently produce smooth, clean-tasting coffee. They're specially designed for the Kalita Wave, but I actually use them with a Technivorm Moccamaster. in my experience, they’re the best filters out there when it comes to avoiding any paper taste. Yes, they’re more expensive than standard filters, but you get what you pay for. The quality is worth the price for consistent results & a clean brew.

Absolutely perfect and well priced for a Kalita Wave 185 size filter.

Got them because I read you can use them in the Espro Bloom. You can *kinda* use them... They are much shorter than the espro originals so if you're not super on the ball, you'll end up with the filter crumpled at the bottom of the basket and you pouring water around it. Now, if you learn the trick of pouring reeeeally slowly to keep the filter sort of suspended throughout the whole process and without collapsing, and you really can't find the espro originals anymore, you can make it work. But if you're lucky enough and still able to score some original filters for your Bloom, go with the originals! Much much less headache.Note: all the above is if you, like me, are getting these for your Bloom. As filters in general, they are good quality and work great, hence the 5 stars.

It fits 155 drippers just fine which is great so I can use the same dripper for 1-3 people.

I'm quite sensitive to smell and usually avoid white paper filter as some other brand I tried left a hint of bleach in contact with hot water. But this one is almost no noticeable after few ml of hot water rinse. Will definitely buy it again.
